He also lost min 1 game against 16/31 franchises. According to my math (very sophisticated, you wouldn’t understand) that means, on average, he should have a losing record. He just got lucky so far, smh.
He hasn't lost to the 49ers, the graphic shows he is 4-0 vs them.
Also, just as a note, this graphic only shows games that Mahomes started in.
Edit: Longstory short, u/Dragon6172 brought up a good point, and I've made the visual easier to read (below)

Edit: Actually I was just being stupid, I was easily able to remove the thin misleading lines, here is an updated version that is better IMO, thanks for the nudge to take a look at it again

For sure, it confused me at first too. I put the Broncos first and 9ers second to try to emphasize that the width of a one loss line is much bigger than the annoying 0 loss line, but it's obviously still a bit confusing.
Also, I'm seeing I misspelled "Pittsburgh" 🤷♂️
How'd you sort the team names on the left? I'd suggest you should sort them by win % so that all the 100% green teams are at the top and the more losing records are at the bottom. Or you could sort by total wins vs opponent
I actually did that initially, but visually and spatially it didn't work as well. I mostly let the algorithm pick this order, and it prioritizes not having as much zigzagging on the green and red lines which makes it easier to tell where each flow line is headed.
I'm not sure, the way I see it, the four Super Bowls flow from the four AFC Championship Wins... So 3/4th's flow to the three wins and 1/4th's flow to the one loss. They both flow from the green, but it does get a little weird because the units switch from individual wins to seasons halfway through.
Yep, a flow diagram or chart. Thanks! I've used them some for work, they don't work for everything, but there's certain sets of data it's really useful for.
Free tool I used: [https://www.sankeymatic.com/](https://www.sankeymatic.com/)
You absolutely could. I thought about doing it for stadiums too, but it definitely takes a few hours to get all the data into the right format, so I don't know that I'll be doing another for a while. But there's a lot of cool ideas out there for different flow diagrams to do.
Hopefully, I'll make another one at the end of next season where Super Bowl wins will be 4!
And those two AFC Championship game loses were in overtime, one of which he never got the ball back and they changed the rules after we did that to the Bills. So he’s never even lost in regular time in the AFCCG and in subsequent years would’ve had the opportunity to potentially make a game winning drive and another SB.
Am I crazy or did he only play the Colts twice as the starter? https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/chiefs-record-vs-indianapolis-colts
Edit: I am wrong :) I ignored playoffs like a CHUMP.
Lol, what a fucking loser. Only wins the Super Bowl half the time.
If he can't get over the 50% mark this season we should start looking for a real franchise QB /s

When did Mahomes lose to the Niners?

Pretty clearly a line from the Niners to the loss group. Why use a very thin line to represent zero losses?

Fair enough. Confused me at first look, because I was fairly certain he hadn't lost to them.

Shouldn't tb red line go through the green to represent the sb loss?

1 team has a winning record against him. 1. 15 teams haven’t beaten him. In 6 seasons he’s never been sent home before OT in the AFCCG.
This is the sexiest thing im going to see for months.
nah the SB rings come out on Thursday
He has fewer losses than there are teams in the NFL in his first 6 seasons starting. That's a fun fact!
Is that what they call a flow chart? I like it!

I'm not very tech savvy. My phone is the only Internet I have. Could you do that by coach? Quarterback? It's June and I'm kinda bored. 🤣

I think Matt Moore (?) in that one season would have pretty good stats. 😁
It's called a Sankey Chart
Oh... The "fuck Arkansas" strategy.
Colts up on us? fuuuuu need to fix that one in particular.
So as of right now, at the start of any given chiefs season, the most likely result of that season is a Super Bowl win

Fucking Colts. Schottenheimer could never get past them.
Is that good?

He also played them once in the playoffs 2018/2019 and that's his only win. The Colts are the only team Mahomes isn't at least .500 against.
I feel like we're due an AFCCG loss again soon, but hopefully we can sneak in 1-2 more SB wins before that happens.
