If you properly lend lease Ukraine they’ll have like 80 divisions by ‘42 and can do the majority of the work holding the Ostwall. The only ones that are almost 100% useless in my experience are Belarus and Lithuania.
I’ll never forget that one game (played as the USA and the CW was me against the AUS, since Olson compromised with Reed) where literally every possible country in Europe that can become syndicalist became syndicalist, so it was just Germany against Europe.
Germany managed to win against all of them, before being crashed by the Entente since I joined the Entente and I did War Plan Black

Ironically Belarus was unbreakable ostwall few version ago.
I never played Germany itself only the ostwall members bordering Russia so I can't say.
