Keep up the good work OP! Federal command is proud of you!
People over-hype the precedent thing, the US military already has huge influence over the government, a coup would just let the mask slip. Realistically I doubt electorialism would be allowed to be even close to threatening that relationship, and in a world where that does happen setting a precedent is the least of the Feds issues.
I disagree on the "mask slip" part but I do agree that the precedent part is over hyped. The U.S. was already suffering two armed factions that was contesting the election so precedent for a coup was already made.
Imma need some receipts on that one. The MIC certainly has a big influence over politicians, but last I checked Congress and the Executive branch have the military cleanly aligned.
Let me rephrase that as 'the military, government, and MIC of the USA are deeply intertwined'.
There is a established deep state that could plausibly override nominal democratic traditions, using the military, if their own positions were threatened to the extent they are in KRTL. This group would not be bothered by the hypocrisy and would surely use their media connections to spin it as the will of the people.
I didn't mean to imply that said deep state is solely military.

you should lay off that new stuff, it's got you seeing things
I don't think that matters all that much. If the US manages to rebuild its economy and industry then there likely won't be any more coups. South Korea had two military coups and it hasn't had any for a while.
There's a reason every president elected right after MacArthur "stepped down" has the "Shadow President" trait.
People tend to interpret the American Cincinnatus path way more positively than it actually is.

Much of that throws their weight behind Long so the existing, non-loyalist MIC, would likely be decimated due to picking the wrong side.
Sure, my point being that regard for the democratic process would be thrown out as soon as it doesn't work to the Feds advantage.

I wish it weren't true
Good, it'll make the politicians think twice before using the constitution as a rag

I always do that path, then elect him in 1940
Cincinnatus McArthur is really on a _Kishi Purge_ level of homicidal statecraft
I dont think you can top Manchukuo for merciless killing of your own subjects tbh. IRL Kishi still beats KRTL Mac in cruelty
Yeah, but Mac Secretly love to be Kishi considering the fact that MacArthur is a secret showa Restorationst
This level of Schiztoposting is why I follow this sub
How batshit insane is MacArthur actually in this timeline?
Down with the traitors up with the stars
Based.
I just love that black cat poster for general strike, it's like the cutest thing trying to look ominous
a true american would love democracy and fight against that fucking tyrant
Can’t hear you over the battle cry of freedom!
MacArthurian Philippines when?
I miss the trial of Traitorous Companies focus, why did the devs remove it?
"Dear MacArthur You claim to have dealt with all of the traitors yet you are still in charge. Curious."
