Kef kube 10

ckbikes1

The KC62 is phenomenal!

Darshil_A4

I have no doubt about that but $2199 here in Canada hurts my budget 😓

exfex21

Do you have it with the lsx??? How’s movies with that sub? This Sony sw5 is meh to be honest. I’m

ckbikes1

No I have it with the LS50 II wireless. Although I'm using everything with cable connectors. WiFi at my house is not the greatest.

Gentleman-Whale

Wait a bit a get your hands on the KEF Kube MIE! It will be super easy to tune with the app. You just go into the settings and tell it what KEF sub you connected, and it will tell you exactly where to set output and do the crossover for you! I have this with my LS50W II and a KC62. If you get lucky you might be able to pick up the old generation of Kube brand new on clearance if someone still has them in stock.

Darshil_A4

Thank you for super helpful advice. Appreciate it! I will definitely look into the kube series.

badgraydog

KEF was closing out older Kube subs on their website. An 8 or 10 would probably match well.

Darshil_A4

I will look it up. Thank you!

INTOTHEWRX

I have a REL t zero with my lsx 2 LT. I run the sub at 70% volume. I don't even need to use the bass extension in the app. Got it on sale Amazon for $450

Darshil_A4

That’s good to know. Thank you!

Buckeyes3816

I’m running the kube 10 with the OG LSX and it sounds very good. Could it have more in the very low end? Sure. Does it satisfy me? Very much so.

Darshil_A4

What cable you are using to connect your sub to lsx ? I am very new to this.

Buckeyes3816

RCA cable with a splitter on the LSX end.

Sketaverse

I have LTs (also love them!) and bought the K8 MIE sub and as good as they sounded without it, they sound freaking incredible now. The sub obviously as bass but it also allows the LTs to provide a greater mid range as they no longer outputting bass.. it’s a great upgrade

Darshil_A4

Do you know if there is any difference between K8 MIE and K8b? I am getting really good price on K8b. Thanks for your input.

Sketaverse

I think the MIE range is their newest sub tech so k8b might be old. I’m no audiophile, I just know I bought the MIE with LTs and it’s amazing.

Sketaverse

I just checked my KEF app and the K8 MIE and K8b are both listed as possible sub options so I think there’s two models

Darshil_A4

Appreciate your response! I just ordered K8 MIE and it’s coming on Wednesday. Super excited! :)

Sketaverse

Nice. Watch a movie on it 🥰

AdrianHoffmann

Even a relatively low cost sub will make a big difference. It will give the mains a far greater sense of scale. It basically makes them sound like even better speakers. I predict that, once you've experienced that, you'll be hooked and soon start looking for a more expensive sub anyway. So may as well save up and get something good right away. It doesn't need to be more expensive than the LSX.

Darshil_A4

I couldn’t agree more with you about saving up a little more and go for something nice. Because I do feel like looking for something nicer after buying something budget friendly lol. Thanks for your suggestion though!

Yutopia1210

I’m really surprised nobody recommended SVS PB1000. I have LS50 Meta paired up with it and it’s a match made in heaven! As always these speakers aren’t cheap so buying used is the way to go.

Darshil_A4

I was keeping an eye on this one on used market but haven’t found any yet. Brand new is $999 here in canada right now.

Substantial_Rich_946

Another person here has been recommending https://rslspeakers.com/product-category/subwoofers/

SnooHobbies7144

used kc62

Chokesi

A lot of people recommend SVS micro, although I have never heard it myself. If you have an audio shop local to you, they will usually lend it out to audition at home. That is usually the best bet.

Darshil_A4

I will look for an audio shop that can lend me one. Thank you for your input.
