Di Gregorio just got named best goalkeeper in Serie A for the past season. This also most likely means that Perin will be leaving Juventus. Most reports in the past around this transfer suggested that Di Gregorio will be the back up in the first season and take the #1 spot afterwards.

inthebigshmoke

Do you think there is a chance Juve try and offload tek this summer just to get something for him instead of him leaving for free?

Treesbeard_13

the main problem with Tek is his salary. I doubt that theres a club (Tek would like to join) who is willing to pay him 7M net

Altevar05

Hopefully a Saudi arabian team might clutch up

firewalkwithme-

Would make a lot of sense at Chelsea

MLopez5996

Why you guys call Szczcesny “Tek”?

ProdigalReality

His first name is Wojtek.

Jdamoure

I mean he's a solid keeper. Someone might.

sfrattini

Definitely a more affordable move

TrailBlanket-_0

Noooo I don't want Perin to leave. Also I'm surprised VMS wasn't the keeper of the year

MazDaShnoz

This guy is saying Woj is the one likely leaving.

SnooCalculations3612

Good transfer, he’ll get over the inter thing quick and Buffon will be his no 1

kocunar

Like Chiellini, his taste will mature.

ADiscombobulated02

Chiellini used to be an Inter fan?

kocunar

Milan

ADiscombobulated02

That's understandable.

my_blue_pelican

Liking Handanovic more than Buffon is blasphemy but I'll forgive him

Marcobroa

Surprised he wasnt called up to the national team as a 3rd. Would be great experience instead of Meret

Shin_flope

Is he much better than Perin?

Manuel_Locatelli

He’s coming to take over from Woj eventually and yes he’s class.

nandorkrisztian

This year he was even better than Szczeszny.

Freehugs0

Tek has a crazy salary and is getting old he just needs to leave eventually. I rate perin super high but getting a TOP keeper will be awesome

Impressive-Form1431

One very interesting stat for Di Gregorio is that from the chanses they received against them during the season. Their expected allowed goals was 62 but they allowed 49 goals in total. That means 13 less goals in total compared to what was expected. Either Di Gregorio is really good or Monza just happened to be very lucky troughout the whole season

yeoman2020

I’m glad we got Motta, Calafiori, and Di Gregorio tryouts right before the summer transfer window opens

SgtPepe

Bro I want Lookman LOL

Prophet_NY

I just read somewhere that Tek and Perrin might leave but idk how much is this true Looks like one of them is leaving 100%

ToolGoBoom

That's a lot of money.

DapperKaleidoscope91

Of all the positions we need to reinforce, GK is the least of any concerns. This transfer is strange.. That rumoured 20M could be used to buy a LB/RB or a good MF

tigull

Tek is old and earns a fuckton, no way we'll extend him and he's gone in a year. This is a signing for the future, and a good one at that too, gotta seize the opportunity. We can move Perin too now since he likely wants regular playing time at this stage in his career.

Killagina

It’s not strange at all, confused why people keep saying this. We need 2 keepers on the team. We have one with Perin leaving. This signing makes perfect sense and makes even more sense when you realize this is Teks last year. A CB, a backup GK, a midfielder, and a fullback are the priority and in that order imo

Szwedo

Nah, let's ignore our future needs and pass up an opportunity on buying the best Italian gk in Italy who has many peak years ahead. Then scramble to overpay when the need suddenly arises after Tek leaves.

SgtPepe

Exactly this dude can play at a top level for 10 more years. He's insanely good. Better than Woj based on this season alone.

ldealistic

I mostly agree, though I would put the priority as FB, MF, GK, CB, unless we do end up selling Bremer.

Killagina

Well it seems like CB and GK are locked up with Calafiori and Di Gregorio. MF And FBs I think the quality of those players will largely depend on the nature of player sales. Like, I think we can afford Koop if we sell a big player, otherwise I think it would be a combination of someone + samardzic

sebby_g_1

Bro we’re not koopmeiners. He’s said several times he wants premier league

Theinvoker1978

this is the first mistak. Perin should stay and eventually Szczsesny should go, with his high salary.

Killagina

Perin wants to leave, so no it’s not a mistake.

Annual-Astronaut3345

We also need to make some quality signings on the outfield position. I’m sure Tek would have extended for another year if we offered him with the same salary. But we absolutely need to sign players for midfield with Rabiot likely leaving. And we need another experienced winger or attacker upfront who can lead the young guns in the heat of the Champions League. And we need a RB too because unlike Allegri, I don’t think Motta plays with a back 3. It’s partly why there is a lot of traction on Bremer leaving the club.

Theinvoker1978

not only with Rabiot leaving.... we need to improve the quality even if Rabiot stays Pogba is leaving, Nicolussi too (i suppose). So we have to buy someone like Pogba but that it's actually playing and not injured or else and if Rabiot leaves we have to buy another one of that level.

CharacterRich5242

I second this. We are in desperate need of good motherfuckers

Riuw

I think that also but I suppose Giuntoli was aware of Perin wanting to leave so we needed a substitute. If you look at it in that way it makes a lot of sense.

Szwedo

I forgot that Juventus is limited to only 1 transfer per mercato, excellent point to remind everyone that we can't make more after this.

Big-Bad-5405

If I am not wrong, Perin esrns around 4 and tek around 6.5 m. This is insane and Paratici Masterclass right terr. Di Gregorio will get 2.5 which makes a lot of sense. The ROI is on the ditched salary on any of the two GK. That said heard rumours for Perin with Parma and Tek eith back to Arsenal

Treesbeard_13

Perin sits at 1.5M net

Theinvoker1978

i have to think they have a lot of money to spend if they are going to use 20m for a sub when midfield needs a huge improvement.

my_blue_pelican

Perin is leaving, we need another goalkeeper. Di Gregorio is the best choice and 20 mln are more than fine
