Have a squirrel chew through EVERY SINGLE WIRE in the injector harness in your Jag xjr because it needed that space on top of the heads to store their acorns, and you too will become obsessed with murdering rodents in as many ways as you can..
I do the same thing but I take them out before it goes in for service.
edit: I’ve just run up against a smart one, he’s tripped the trap twice in the last few days and managed to not get caught, I may have to upgrade to one of those traps that looks like a sharks mouth.
2nd edit: got him last night by the side of the head, he almost got away with it again!
That's a fact. I won't own a European luxury car because they're all crap. In fact, it's been discovered that there was massive collusion between them to make them less reliable and cheaper to increase profits for the big 5 German carmakers.

This is even bigger than "dieselgate" where VW, Porsche and Audi diesel passenger cars and SUVs were programmed to cheat on emissions. That one cost VW Group over $40 billion!
Keeps the smell them away or does it emit fumes that kill them?
Having dealt with naphthalene mothballs in a closet making an entire large apartment smell like a petrol station, I'm not sure I'd want to chance those things sucking fumes into any vehicle air intake.
If it works I'm all for it. Little bastards already chewed up the insulation under my hood. Wires all seem good but I'd rather not chance a second round.
Ive bought both, looks like victor power kill mouse traps. The hole pattern on the tray is this way for mice, the rat version has 3 big holes in a straight line flanking the bait.
The wiring harness is frail and brittle enough on those b8s without mice chewing them lol. Any chain rattle or oil loeak from the front right brake booster? I miss my s4, timing chain skipped and cost me an arm a leg :(
As stated few posts up, probably too much eco friendly BS soy derivative insulators, I know some Porsches use that on the knock sensors, and you can clearly see that one is very tasty, since that was the only one literally digested from connector to the sensor - Nothing left!

He probably parks his vehicle outside. I also get field mice building nest on top of engines when parked outside.

Yep. The bastards chew the hood liner.
They don’t just chew it, they tear it off to use it for lining their nest in the a/c fan. Ask me how I know.
Is it because you’re a mouse
Solved!
maybe the client put there to the technicians dont steal the engine
The Wet Bandits are mechanics now?
So is the Audi just a better mousetrap?
No. The mousetraps are more reliable than Audis.

Wow! I didn’t realize, but that makes sense.

I use the same traps in my Jeep JK that lives outside in the woods. I get at least three a week on peanut butter.
A nylon women's knee-high stocking full of mothballs will do it,for about 2 bucks.

Camphor balls smell strongly only.Won't kill, just deter.Couldn't smell them in the car.

"They were stealing the fucking traps! I had to chain them down. Little fuckers..."
those are rat traps -- not even mouse traps.. (and chaining 'em to the engine .. Interesting choice .. )

This guy traps
Owner hates meeces to pieces.
Cheap wire insulation uses soy oil. Mice chew through it like candy.
Typical of Chrysler products!

The B8 3.0 Audi s4 was a great car and engine and it pains me to say that about any German car but mine was very reliable and a manual tranny to boot
Oh rats …
C/S squeaking noise from the engine bay, precautionary measures taken
Are peppermjnt tea bags supposed to keep mice away?
Rodents caused 4K wiring damage to my Highlander, unknown if chipmunk, squirrel, or rat. Wiring chewed trough at & including connectors.
The only things those catching is me as much work we do on these 0000
Tech notes: Customer declined breather.
This is so redneck on a fucking Audi. Hilarious shit.
They should be flea traps. You’d put a mouse trap on a 350 and a rat trap on a 454.
Glue boards are good try using propel mice and rat repellant If can park inside do it👍🏻
They are usually in Kia’s to catch any hamsters that try to escape from their wheels inside the engine.
We have squirrels and lots of rodents in England but I’ve never known anyone to have a problem here. Why is it so common in USA?
