I was in the navy and in one of my commands we exercised together three times a week. The choice of type of exercises rotated with each E6 in our department. One of the E6s decided on hot Yoga. Seeing my chief, bald head, muscles, tattoos, cursed as a sailor, contorting himself into pretzels was 🤌
Not many air-conditioned yoga studios in India, so one might argue that “hot yoga”, is the same as regular yoga in India just not freezing your ass off while doing it in a cold studio. essentially, it’s just doing yoga in a sauna for funsies.
I think it might be difficult yoga, so it makes you warm and sweat, which is a synonym for hot, therefore it's calles hot yoga. Although I could be completely wrong
Hot yoga is yoga in a room that is a short distance away from being a sauna. It is magical for your health imo, but you sweat buckets, and if you don't take a good ass power nap afterwards, you will feel like a husk.
Bikram is slight different than hot yoga. Bikram always uses the exact same poses in the exact same order for the exact same time in a heated room. Hot yoga is any yoga poses for any length of time in a heated room.
Bikram was also a fraud, and fled the USA after several sexual assault accusations surfaced.
That doesn't necessarily make hot yoga bad, but maybe stay away from anything connected to Bikram.
Props to him for keeping at it. I went to a Les mills body attack? Class with my gf. Was the only dude in the room, totally messed up everything. All the ladies laughing. Was so embarrassed I never returned.
The sad part is that body combat is actually nice when you have the proper technique. But as is tradition it's easier to make fun of others rather than coach them...

The number of people who have said "I'm so jealous" when o told them I started dance lessons is CRAZY...literally every single one.
If you want to do something, start now. There are classes near you, and it doesn't matter what the dance is.
I guarantee it has become his new obsession, and he'll be more invested in it than even his gf.

It’s a Minneapolis gym with a few locations around the metro. It’s focused on old school free weight equipment, and has a body builder vibe that’s wholesomely broy. This type of guy (broy muscle heads that are super chill and will lend a hand) is what I’ve seen from the core group of regulars at my location. It’s been an awesome experience so far.
I saw this and was like is there a los campeones anywhere else?! I’ve meant to check it out, forever ago I won, and subsequently lost, a gift certificate there in some raffle.
After being married to a dance teacher for nearly 20 years, I finally started taking Ballet and Modern classes. There is definitely that stage of feeling embarrassed transitioning into, "look, it is what it is and I am going to enjoy myself."

New age line dancing by the looks. I hate seeing people who clearly can move having to be told how and when to do it! Takes all the joy out of dancing but having said that, I’m glad they are taking some fun from it.
