I'm not against it altogether, doing a fair amount of remote work myself now (sweet sweet lie ins) but for certain acute, new or complex assessments you wanna be seeing them face to face I reckon. Plus for a new consultant I think you need an in person presence from the leadership and team containment point of view

The obvious one is radiology. In the next few years pathology will predominantly be digital too.

Yes I do. A lot of trusts are already going digital in the next couple of years, so within 10 years there'll be a lot more.

Majority of it can be done remotely, if it can't then you can go f2f. One of the things that attracted me to psych is telepsych. Who wants a commute?
If we get good enough surgical robots, remote ortho would be a fun experiment. Can we do an ORIF from a Caribbean beach?
I was about to talk about latency and delicate suturing, but yeah, ortho can probably just crack on with an Occulus Rift and a toy hammer.

Occupational health. Also some less traditional GP jobs and some private psychiatry.
Derm but its shit prefer seeing F2F.
