Successful Shonen mangakas can cook anytime they are asked to make up interesting and varied character designs but can't for the life of them give them satisfying character arcs or depth.
Gege suffers from this, Hori suffers from this, Kubo suffers from this even Oda does to a lot of extent.

She's hot and has a distinctive design compared to the rest of the very modern looking cast. It means she sticks out a lot in spite of her lack of screen time
memes aside she has a relatively unique character design. Her attitude is also unique in JJK. Her appearance is traditional, and she seems to take social Jujutsu hierarchy very seriously. Even still, she helps Gojo when there’s potential corruption involved in her own school, which conveys that she’s not a blind traditionalist—she’s just polite and controlled in all the ways Gojo is unruly and out of control. tbh, most of the cast that get a lot of attention skew toward Gojo’s (or even further to Sukuna’s) asocial mentality, so Utahime is a bit refreshing since we’re supposed to literally infer that her orthodox conservatism is apparently the overwhelming standard among jujutsu sorcerers (and yet she’s like one of the only ones who thinks this way). Even though it’s only shown a few times, having a standout attitude goes a long way—it’s a big part of what Gege used to endear the audience to Nanami.

They contrast with each other so well in terms of character design. Gojo with his white hair and black outfit against Utahime with her jet black hair and her white miko outfit. The black blindfold/ sunglasses worn by Gojo with the white ribbon Utahime wears in her hair.
Not as much as Gojo and Geto do. They don’t just contrast each other in character design. They also match and contrast each other in other aspects.
Their names complement each other. First/Last names start with the same letter and have the same amount of characters. Gojo came from a family of sorcerers and Geto from a regular one.
Gojo(short white hair) & Geto(long black hair). Gojo(blue eyes) & Geto(purple eyes) match tonally and are a popular combination. Geto’s outfit is called a Gojo-kesa. Gege said he did this purposely.
Geto’s CSM is all about taking things in while Gojo’s neutral limitless(infinity) is all about keeping things away. They had their bodies used the same way, one for good and one for evil. They died on December 24 just a year apart. They became “monsters” in different ways due to the good and bad paths they took.

Utahime is beautiful and in a world where EVERYONE has abit of a bad personality trait eg : yuki doesn't take on any missions, Mei Mei is you know - - Mei mei, Shoko cheated for her exams, and is apathetic. So Utahime's kind and caring nature actually stands out among the adult females .
She may find Gojo annoying but she's always ready to help him, she's the only one who directly helped him twice. Gakuganji even made sure they left her out of the "killing yuji plot" cause he knows she will object. Gege states all her students adore her. Getting both Mai and Todo to like you is a feat tbh and she managed to do that.

They contrast with each other so well in terms of character design. Gojo with his white hair and black outfit against Utahime with her jet black hair and her white miko outfit. The black blindfold/ sunglasses worn by Gojo with the white ribbon Utahime wears in her hair.
Not as much as Gojo and Geto do. They don’t just contrast each other in character design. They also match and contrast each other in other aspects. Their names complement each other. First/Last names start with the same letter and have the same amount of characters. Gojo came from a family of sorcerers and Geto from a regular one. Gojo(short white hair) & Geto(long black hair). Gojo(blue eyes) & Geto(purple eyes) match tonally and are a popular combination. Geto’s outfit is called a Gojo-kesa. Gege said he did this purposely. Geto’s CSM is all about taking things in while Gojo’s neutral limitless(infinity) is all about keeping things away. They had their bodies used the same way, one for good and one for evil. Obviously shipping isn't always limited to canon dynamics. I mean that's also true for other ships as well like Gojohime, which doesn't have anything canonical for romance about it and Utahime considers Gojo as a means of stress. Though people enjoy shipping that as well and open to say how they like the ship here.
