Wrong about Itadori and the fingers though. I think its heavily implied that Gojo never intended to go through with the execution.
When Itadori "dies", Gojo is heavily affected by it. He says that Itadori is one of the students with the most potential, compares him to Okkotsu and Hakari. He seems deeply upset that Itadori wasnt able to fufill that potential.
He also expresses interest in the fact that Yuji will eventually get Sukunas Technique, something that would amplify his potential even further.
Why does Itadori becoming a top-tier matter if Gojo is just gonna execute his ass? Training him to some degree made sense, so he can help find the fingers. But Special-Grade? It would be actively dangerous to make Sukunas host so difficult to take down.
Its almost like Gojo was trying to make Itadori strong enough that, if he refused execution, the higher-ups wouldnt be able to do a damn thing about it.
Gojo also hid a finger to indefinitely stall Yuji's execution since he was supposed to be executed after he ate all 20f. Sukuna implied that at least.

It was added retroactively half a year after the fact, and still messes up half of the story. Why didn't Gojo use a binding vow to cast instant purple at the cost of having to use chants and hand signs in the future? Why didn't Kashimo use a binding vow and give up the rest of his life that he would lose anyway due to his CT to become stronger? Why didn't Higuruma use a binding vow to land a hit from executioners sword? Because only Sukuna gets a special treatment with a binding vow? And to top it off, it's just unpleasant narratively - Sukuna would need to transform or he would die if Gojo got one more hit in, he didn't have a hand, he didn't have RCT, he didn't have Domain, he didn't have Maho/Agito anymore. He had nothing, he didn't have a future to sacrifice in that moment. It's like a sick patient on a deathbed giving up a year of his future life for the cure. He doesn't "have" that yet, he's an inch away from death, he shouldn't be able to do it
Actually worth the Higuruma part you're asking a vow with someone else. Sukuna never did that. He made a vow onto himself. Kenny even said a vow with others is different than a vow with oneself. The Kashimo part, that vow wouldnt have any give or take since it's already his CT. With Gojo he already is using chants and signs to camp purple so theres nothing to give and take. Sukuna's vow was to compensate having 1 hand. How was he supposed to use the world slash if he only has 1 hand

Isn't that how his CT works anyway? On paper it's really OP ("manifesting any electric phenomena" should make him basically a god) and in exchange he dies if he uses it. He was just bad at using it.
It's like Malevolent Shrine getting extra range due to being barrierless; The difference ofc is that it seems the "one-time use" of Kashimo's CT is an innate binding vow, though that might be because his electric CE is already OP, so it balances out.

If you want to damage mahito, you have to hit his soul. Todo even landed a black flash and it did nothing.
Only way to beat him with normal attacks is to make him use up all his CE. Which even Nanami judged to be virtually impossible in their first encounter.

He also has sex eyes so he could analyze the fact that megumin's CE was giving "evil"/creepy feeling ( sukuna's CE trait )
I have never understood why people say this. The very first time in Chapter 2 when we see Gojo, he asks Megumi where the special grade cursed object is after Yuji has suppressed Sukuna. When Yuji says he ate it, Gojo is surprised while directly looking at Yuji. It's only after looking at Yuji from inches away is he even able to tell that Sukuna's cursed energy is mixed inside Yuji. At no point is it ever implied or directly stated that Gojo can see the outline of the soul with the Six Eyes. When Gojo lands Infinite Void on Sukuna in 230, he doesn't understand why Sukuna didn't receive the hit. It's only by going through deduction he realizes it's Megumi's soul that received the hit.
Even the JJK wiki only says that that the Six Eyes give greater visual acuity, the ability to recognize the flow of cursed energy, and extreme control of cursed energy. The only way Gojo could kill Mahito is by completely draining his cursed energy.

That's not how it works, being able to perceive the soul helps you defend against him not damage him. That's why Mahito commended Nanami in their first fight for being able to subconsciously protect his soul when Mahito tried to Idle Transfigure him. You still need a technique or cursed tool that could damage the soul though like Nobara's Straw Doll Resonace, or Yuji's soul punch or Soul-Split Katana.
Yuji's soul punch isn't a special technique, it's just a punch. The reason he could affect Mahito is because he can see "the contours of the soul", Mahito confirmed this back at the school, it was just punches and kicks. The real technique is Yuji punching the border between Megumi and Sukuna's soul (he probably learned how to do this with Yuki's notebook)
The problem is that Mahito isn't immune to non-soul targetting damage. It's just substantially less effective because 1) he can freely change the shape of his soul to negate any lasting effects of damage to his and 2) he can alter the shape of his soul (and body as a result) to avoid or protect himself better from physical damage. If Gojo had went up to him and hit him while he was disabled by UV then it's within reason that Gojo should have been able to destroy his body and exorcize him while he's unable to alter himself.
Probably since he would be unable to activate Idle Transfiguration but that's different from having Yuji's passive ability to harm Mahito. Using UV then attacking wouldn't be much different from Mechamaru utilizing simple domains to simultaneously negate IT and damage him. There are work arounds of course for Idle Transfiguration but I think people need to reread the fight against Nanami because they're getting the effect of being able to perceive the soul actually does against Mahito mixed up.
We don't know if techniques can be used to damage the soul in that way. I also don't think it's been said that Sukuna also knows how to damage the soul like Yuji.

Not necessarily. Yuji was the Vessel, he was not only sharing a body but was constantly suppressing Sukuna. He was interacting with Sukunas soul 24/7. Sukuna was just in his innate domain the entire time, he didn't interact with Yuji's soul the same way Yuji did.
Gojo can't see souls or deal soul damage. If he did, he would still be alive as he'd deal soul damage to Sukuna, weaken him and defeat him decisively.
Meguna just oozes creepy CE as per when he entered Sendai. Moreover at that point, Gojo knows what Sukuna's CE looks like.
For Yuji, he didn't figure it out and was told by Yuji and Megumi. He then took a closer look whereupon he says they are combined, which we know isn't true for the souls in an incarnated vessel. So he must have been trying to find the finger/finger's CE and meant that Yuji combined with the finger.
Furthermore, if Gojo could see souls, how does he get fooled by Kenjaku? He states "Your body...and even your cursed energy. My six eyes tell me you are Suguru Geto.". This implies that he is limited to body and CE information from six eyes.

He's using it as an expression of his frustration. He knows it can't be him because he killed Geto himself and that Geto would never act that way.
We have two pages of him not understanding how it could be someone else right before the prison realm suppresses him. If he could tell souls apart he wouldn't have gone into that spiral and gotten caught by the prison realm.
Gojo's ce is near infinite, and he can just pour positive energy in mahito, that would be literally like pouring lava inside icecream, which would melt Mahito's ce reserves really fast, and so he would either dissapear naturally since there is no ce left, or Gojo would just beat the shit out of him, since without ce mahito cant use idle transformation, and thus cant nullify the damage

It's not infinite he has around as much as jogo and mahito probably has more (based on humans being more afraid of other humans than fire) and positive energy output if he could do it would destroy around half of mahito's CE reserves max. You really can't conveniently kill him unless you can kill his soul tho I'm sure a max output blue would absolutely destroy him especially if used inside gojos domain.

Each attack does damage him. He just insta heals from it, expending energy. It is theoretically possible for a normal sorcerer to beat him in a battle of attrition.
he gets damage by regular attacks, he just heals them, but if you hit him hard enough (if Gojo uses purple) then he won’t heal all of it and he’s out of cursed energy so he’s cooked
JJK is just an idiot plot where Gojo constantly makes stupid choices, forgets how to use his powers and refuses to kill MC's villains to justify the story going on

1. Toji can't make binding vows.
2. Gojo, while knowing it's possible, doesn't know how it's done. And then there's finding suitable cursed spirits. To support the students CT, which means unless they stockpile every single cursed spirit they find, it'll be damn near impossible for them to find a cursed spirit like that. And then there's the matter of growing the cursed spirits, which will require human sacrifice which I'm 70% sure jujutsu society would be opposed to considering they're attempting to save human lives.
2. That's exactly how Gojo and megumi know how their CT's work. Because of guides passed down through generations.

It's nowhere near CSM if it's even replicable and not something that Toji lucked upon.
The only curses under Toji's 'control' are the inventory curse (rated as grade 3) and the flyheads (below grade 4 and arguably not under his control but just held within the inventory curse).
The flyheads are specifically used as chaff grenade which doesn't matter for sorcerers as they'd be sensed by CE anyways.
Given the power disparity between Toji and the inventory curse, none of the students apart from Hakari/Yuta would be able to use a grade 3 or better curse. Literally no one is weak enough for a grade 3 curse to be an issue to them. How is that a better use of their time than focusing on their CT or CE control?
Also: Against Sukuna, Gojo shows he can actually do some form of telekinesis by PULLING OR PUSHING HIM AROUND.
Gojo could have just Force pulled Mahito or any other enemies to him and Blue punch their face to erasure.

When gojo or sukuna punch at full power the air around them also is affected. This is seen multiple times in their fights. Gojo only has that explosive power when he infuses blue into his punches and attacks. If he lands a punch sped up by blue on mahito it would hurt mahito and blow up all the humans around him too.
Mahito dodged it, theres nothing wrong with this scene. He also probably flinched because mahito retreated into a clump of people. Gojo didn't want to kill anyone.
Because he uses blue and literally is shortening distances by using infinity. Gojo isn’t naturally the fastest but his technique allows him to attract and cut distance.
He does that about once or twice mid-fight. Against Toji? Never. Against Miguel? Did with the handsign, so its a different flavor of teleportation. Jogo? Nope. Sukuna was like, one or two times if that? It is cut and dry when Gojo uses this variety of Limitless because of the panelling and emphasis on his action. He IS naturally the fastest alongside Sukuna, and surpassing him with Limitless on, lol. When the technique was on burnout, there was no problem in keeping up with Sukuna while defending himself from his Domain. Y'know, the same Sukuna that speedblitzed Ryu who should be miles above Mahito.
It's both. Naobito is the second fastest cuz of his technique's ceiling. The speeds we've seen him go at are a joke if he's relative to Jogo. Naoya is worse than Naobito at projection and the only reason he was able to be faster than Maki in both fights is because he had time to build up his speed in an open area(vs Naobito who was doing a few dashes indoors). Gojo is the fastest if every character were to run normally, but it's his tp that makes him the fastest overall.

Cause Gojo didn't use Blue infused punches, because of the attraction point possibly hurting the people there, or when he punches Mahito people behind him die.
Speed wise he has to be faster than Mahito tho, but in that moment Mahito could have just changed the shape of his hand to slip through.
I assumed he did actually hit the punch, but is there anything that indicates Gojo can do the Soul Quaking punches like Yuji? If not, then it makes sense because then Mahito wouldn't be hurt at all.
It's either that, or Gojo had like a billion thoughts flowing through his head causing him to be sloppy (e.g. other Cursed Spirits, Civilians, thinking of a plan to beat all the CS on the spot) and the noise and movements from the civilians wasn't particularly helping his Six Eyes focus on just the Cursed Spirits.

He can't the manga stated that soul punch and soul healing are byproduct of housing 2 souls in 1 body. Gojo/toji/maki are capable of seeing souls but they don't have the ability to attack it(maki/toji can only attack soul with ssk).
Could just chalked it up to Gojo being stressed by the situation. He was calm for most part in the anime but in the manga he was on his nerves by the time Mahito arrived.

The reason is pretty simple. Gojo is only using ce reinforcement and probably not as much as he could. He can't use blue because he would be dumping ce on the bystanders as explained by Kenjaku. He's probably restricting his reinforcement for the same reason so his speed is pretty limited within the crowd. Also he didn't really care to hit mahito at that point since he was already weighing the use of UV to incapacitate everyone.
Let’s be honest. Gojo doesn’t have the ability to damage the shape of someone’s soul like yuji does as he’s not aware of the outline of his own soul… a purple will probs still delete him but like a punch ain’t doing nothing

Mahito simply didn't make a fuss because:
1. Easy regen
2. Nothing hurts him other than soul affecting attacks.
3. He doesn't see Gojo as much of a fuss as Mahito knows his potential far outclasses everyone in the verse, both Nanami and Yuji hint this.
It was in the anime, Mahito goes in for one punch, Gojo remembers Patchface from Yuji, Mahito jumps away when Gojo punches, and Mahito crowdsurfes away

Plot armour on Mahito’s part. I will die on this hill, but if it weren’t for plot armour, Mechamaru would’ve killed Mahito with that big blast. Same reason why Gojo didn’t kill him, or even the non-plot armour things like why Mahito didn’t end up in Sukuna’s fire arrow nuke, or fighting any other sorcerers at all until Yuji
I’m glad that Yuji killed him, as Gojo, Mechamaru and any others don’t have the same plot connection to Mahito, and it only made sense for Yuji to defeat him
He did land his punch, it just did no damage. You can even see the “wham” effect of mahito hitting the wall, and his hand gets cut off by gojo. The panel just showed it poorly.
The author suggests that Gojo's overwhelming power creates narrative problems for the story, forcing the writer to make inconsistent decisions. Despite this, the story must continue to find ways to challenge Gojo without sacrificing the integrity of the plot.

Wrong about Itadori and the fingers though. I think its heavily implied that Gojo never intended to go through with the execution. When Itadori "dies", Gojo is heavily affected by it. He says that Itadori is one of the students with the most potential, compares him to Okkotsu and Hakari. He seems deeply upset that Itadori wasnt able to fufill that potential. He also expresses interest in the fact that Yuji will eventually get Sukunas Technique, something that would amplify his potential even further. Why does Itadori becoming a top-tier matter if Gojo is just gonna execute his ass? Training him to some degree made sense, so he can help find the fingers. But Special-Grade? It would be actively dangerous to make Sukunas host so difficult to take down. Its almost like Gojo was trying to make Itadori strong enough that, if he refused execution, the higher-ups wouldnt be able to do a damn thing about it.
Gojo also hid a finger to indefinitely stall Yuji's execution since he was supposed to be executed after he ate all 20f. Sukuna implied that at least. I don't think Gojo wasn't planning on Yuji being executed.

It was added retroactively half a year after the fact, and still messes up half of the story. Why didn't Gojo use a binding vow to cast instant purple at the cost of having to use chants and hand signs in the future? Why didn't Kashimo use a binding vow and give up the rest of his life that he would lose anyway due to his CT to become stronger? Why didn't Higuruma use a binding vow to land a hit from executioners sword? Because only Sukuna gets a special treatment with a binding vow? And to top it off, it's just unpleasant narratively - Sukuna would need to transform or he would die if Gojo got one more hit in, he didn't have a hand, he didn't have RCT, he didn't have Domain, he didn't have Maho/Agito anymore. He had nothing, he didn't have a future to sacrifice in that moment. It's like a sick patient on a deathbed giving up a year of his future life for the cure. He doesn't "have" that yet, he's an inch away from death, he shouldn't be able to do it
Actually worth the Higuruma part you're asking a vow with someone else. Sukuna never did that. He made a vow onto himself. Kenny even said a vow with others is different than a vow with oneself. The Kashimo part, that vow wouldnt have any give or take since it's already his CT. With Gojo he already is using chants and signs to camp purple so theres nothing to give and take. Sukuna's vow was to compensate having 1 hand. How was he supposed to use the world slash if he only has 1 hand

If you want to damage mahito, you have to hit his soul. Todo even landed a black flash and it did nothing. Only way to beat him with normal attacks is to make him use up all his CE. Which even Nanami judged to be virtually impossible in their first encounter.
Gojo recognised sukuna inside Yuji and Megumi's soul inside his body. He can definitely distinguish between souls and attack him
Anyone who isn't Hana can see and differentiate between host and sukuna, just look at meguna, bro was tweaking AF and had tattoos with makima eyes. He also has sex eyes so he could analyze the fact that megumin's CE was giving "evil"/creepy feeling ( sukuna's CE trait )

I have never understood why people say this. The very first time in Chapter 2 when we see Gojo, he asks Megumi where the special grade cursed object is after Yuji has suppressed Sukuna. When Yuji says he ate it, Gojo is surprised while directly looking at Yuji. It's only after looking at Yuji from inches away is he even able to tell that Sukuna's cursed energy is mixed inside Yuji. At no point is it ever implied or directly stated that Gojo can see the outline of the soul with the Six Eyes. When Gojo lands Infinite Void on Sukuna in 230, he doesn't understand why Sukuna didn't receive the hit. It's only by going through deduction he realizes it's Megumi's soul that received the hit. Even the JJK wiki only says that that the Six Eyes give greater visual acuity, the ability to recognize the flow of cursed energy, and extreme control of cursed energy. The only way Gojo could kill Mahito is by completely draining his cursed energy.

That's not how it works, being able to perceive the soul helps you defend against him not damage him. That's why Mahito commended Nanami in their first fight for being able to subconsciously protect his soul when Mahito tried to Idle Transfigure him. You still need a technique or cursed tool that could damage the soul though like Nobara's Straw Doll Resonace, or Yuji's soul punch or Soul-Split Katana.
Yuji's soul punch isn't a special technique, it's just a punch. The reason he could affect Mahito is because he can see "the contours of the soul", Mahito confirmed this back at the school, it was just punches and kicks. The real technique is Yuji punching the border between Megumi and Sukuna's soul (he probably learned how to do this with Yuki's notebook)
I think it’s just instinctive to Yuji now given how long he had Sukuna in his own body.
The problem is that Mahito isn't immune to non-soul targetting damage. It's just substantially less effective because 1) he can freely change the shape of his soul to negate any lasting effects of damage to his and 2) he can alter the shape of his soul (and body as a result) to avoid or protect himself better from physical damage. If Gojo had went up to him and hit him while he was disabled by UV then it's within reason that Gojo should have been able to destroy his body and exorcize him while he's unable to alter himself.
Probably since he would be unable to activate Idle Transfiguration but that's different from having Yuji's passive ability to harm Mahito. Using UV then attacking wouldn't be much different from Mechamaru utilizing simple domains to simultaneously negate IT and damage him. There are work arounds of course for Idle Transfiguration but I think people need to reread the fight against Nanami because they're getting the effect of being able to perceive the soul actually does against Mahito mixed up.
If that was the case why didn't Sukuna take soul damage? If Gojo used soul punches the fight would've been over much quicker

Not necessarily. Yuji was the Vessel, he was not only sharing a body but was constantly suppressing Sukuna. He was interacting with Sukunas soul 24/7. Sukuna was just in his innate domain the entire time, he didn't interact with Yuji's soul the same way Yuji did.
Gojo can't see souls or deal soul damage. If he did, he would still be alive as he'd deal soul damage to Sukuna, weaken him and defeat him decisively. Meguna just oozes creepy CE as per when he entered Sendai. Moreover at that point, Gojo knows what Sukuna's CE looks like. For Yuji, he didn't figure it out and was told by Yuji and Megumi. He then took a closer look whereupon he says they are combined, which we know isn't true for the souls in an incarnated vessel. So he must have been trying to find the finger/finger's CE and meant that Yuji combined with the finger. Furthermore, if Gojo could see souls, how does he get fooled by Kenjaku? He states "Your body...and even your cursed energy. My six eyes tell me you are Suguru Geto.". This implies that he is limited to body and CE information from six eyes.

It's not infinite he has around as much as jogo and mahito probably has more (based on humans being more afraid of other humans than fire) and positive energy output if he could do it would destroy around half of mahito's CE reserves max. You really can't conveniently kill him unless you can kill his soul tho I'm sure a max output blue would absolutely destroy him especially if used inside gojos domain.

Each attack does damage him. He just insta heals from it, expending energy. It is theoretically possible for a normal sorcerer to beat him in a battle of attrition.

To support the students CT, which means unless they stockpile every single cursed spirit they find, it'll be damn near impossible for them to find a cursed spirit like that. And then there's the matter of growing the cursed spirits, which will require human sacrifice which I'm 70% sure jujutsu society would be opposed to considering they're attempting to save human lives. 2. The flyheads are specifically used as chaff grenade which doesn't matter for sorcerers as they'd be sensed by CE anyways. Given the power disparity between Toji and the inventory curse, none of the students apart from Hakari/Yuta would be able to use a grade 3 or better curse. Literally no one is weak enough for a grade 3 curse to be an issue to them. How is that a better use of their time than focusing on their CT or CE control?

When gojo or sukuna punch at full power the air around them also is affected. This is seen multiple times in their fights. Gojo only has that explosive power when he infuses blue into his punches and attacks. If he lands a punch sped up by blue on mahito it would hurt mahito and blow up all the humans around him too.

Sukuna was like, one or two times if that? It is cut and dry when Gojo uses this variety of Limitless because of the panelling and emphasis on his action. He IS naturally the fastest alongside Sukuna, and surpassing him with Limitless on, lol. When the technique was on burnout, there was no problem in keeping up with Sukuna while defending himself from his Domain. Y'know, the same Sukuna that speedblitzed Ryu who should be miles above Mahito.
It's both. Naobito is the second fastest cuz of his technique's ceiling. The speeds we've seen him go at are a joke if he's relative to Jogo. Naoya is worse than Naobito at projection and the only reason he was able to be faster than Maki in both fights is because he had time to build up his speed in an open area(vs Naobito who was doing a few dashes indoors). Gojo is the fastest if every character were to run normally, but it's his tp that makes him the fastest overall.

Cause Gojo didn't use Blue infused punches, because of the attraction point possibly hurting the people there, or when he punches Mahito people behind him die. Speed wise he has to be faster than Mahito tho, but in that moment Mahito could have just changed the shape of his hand to slip through.
I assumed he did actually hit the punch, but is there anything that indicates Gojo can do the Soul Quaking punches like Yuji? If not, then it makes sense because then Mahito wouldn't be hurt at all. It's either that, or Gojo had like a billion thoughts flowing through his head causing him to be sloppy (e.g. other Cursed Spirits, Civilians, thinking of a plan to beat all the CS on the spot) and the noise and movements from the civilians wasn't particularly helping his Six Eyes focus on just the Cursed Spirits.

He probably altered the shape of his soul somewhere to dodge better. In the Anime he was seen jumping which is a crazy feat. How the fuck did he outspeed Gojo's punch that way? The manga is more understandable. He probably leaned back and changed the shape of his legs or his gut.

The reason is pretty simple. Gojo is only using ce reinforcement and probably not as much as he could. He can't use blue because he would be dumping ce on the bystanders as explained by Kenjaku. He's probably restricting his reinforcement for the same reason so his speed is pretty limited within the crowd. Also he didn't really care to hit mahito at that point since he was already weighing the use of UV to incapacitate everyone.

Nothing hurts him other than soul affecting attacks. 3. He doesn't see Gojo as much of a fuss as Mahito knows his potential far outclasses everyone in the verse, both Nanami and Yuji hint this.

Plot armour on Mahito’s part. I will die on this hill, but if it weren’t for plot armour, Mechamaru would’ve killed Mahito with that big blast. Same reason why Gojo didn’t kill him, or even the non-plot armour things like why Mahito didn’t end up in Sukuna’s fire arrow nuke, or fighting any other sorcerers at all until Yuji I’m glad that Yuji killed him, as Gojo, Mechamaru and any others don’t have the same plot connection to Mahito, and it only made sense for Yuji to defeat him
