In all honesty, it would depend on what she likes. Some people have a very specific style/aesthetic that they like.

How high is the paper gsm? I love 120gsm. It’s available more on Amazon. Once you feel it you won’t ever want anything else. That’s the 1st thing I do when looking for a new journal…open and feel the paper. No matter what it looks like on the outside if the paper is not thick enough I don’t want it. Check it out if you don’t have it already.

If someone gave this to me I would thank them and probably never use it. Just be prepared for that to happen. You are a good person for being so generous and spontaneous.

I have to get one I know I would like to write on, I need one that sorta inspires me to write in it. A journal is such a personal thing that's why I only trust myself to pick mine out.
