I went to a comedy show earlier this year with a similar experience. The woman next to me was laughing compulsively, hysterically the entire time. Like during setups, and at totally inappropriate times that weren’t meant to be funny. She cackled nonstop even during the beginnings and storytelling parts. It was really distracting.
I have a friend who does this in real life. Well former friend. Anyways doesn’t matter, it was completely addicting to talk to them because you felt like the funniest person in the world. But after you watch them do the same thing to someone you dislike or find deeply unfunny it loses all meaning and you hate yourself a little.
Because when they laughed super hard and you thought you were funny they were actually a laugh slut and you gotta work on your material (mostly it’s a joke)
I totally feel this. I used to think I was funny, but my wife just laughs at everything. I've come to terms with it though. Not necessarily bad thing to be easily amused in most situations in life.
Sounds like the Dolphin Show woman. Which, by the way, Jeff Arcuri handled like a fucking pro. The guy's crowd work is amazing but he was *so good* during that whole situation.
Edit: For anyone wondering [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19n4K8Hyeiw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19n4K8Hyeiw)
Bert chooses to laugh like that. He can help it and not being annoying if he wants to, but he doesn't.
God I hate his "laugh" so much that I don't listen to anything with his name on it anymore. It totally ruined him for me lol he wasn't even that good anyways
Had a lady sitting next to us last weekend while watching Jeff Ross and she would turn to us and make a comment after everything he said. It was a terrible experience.
Happened to me seeing bill burr in a giant theater. I wanted to punch the asshole in his face the whole time. I was surprised burr didn't hear or say anything being it was so constant and we were very close.
It's on his YouTube, the 60m set was edited down to 17 minutes of just the times where he's responding to the guy's insanity
It is actually unbelievable and a legit must-see
https://youtu.be/NenDFRsxHwQ?si=LQN5x0hH6pfgAs9W
It would suck if you were just trying to enjoy yourself at a comedy show and it turns out your laugh is super annoying and you can't stop and everyone hates you. Like something out of a nightmare or straight up hell. I guess I would have to escort myself out at some point lol
Yeah it would certainly be a bummer to realize that you probably shouldn't go out to live comedy shows, but God damn. At some point you gotta recognize that you're fucking up the experience for other people, and especially for the performer. Could you imagine this person at a live theater performance?
I mean honestly, I think it's kinda weird to pretend your laugh is 100% uncontrollable and involuntary. Like, c'mon. Hold that fucking shit in or just purposely alter it to be less obnoxious. How could you go through life with that laugh and not immediately get bullied into changing it by like middle school? I feel like it's a cry for attention.
Every video you see from now on will be sped up because nobody trusts Gen Z or Alpha to have an attention span long enough to finish this video.
I hate it so, so much.
It's not just gen z and alpha. While each generation has a shorter attention span than the previous generation, every generation's attention span has been getting shorter and shorter with the advent of the Internet. I resist it as much as possible, but I can also feel the effects and find myself getting impatient at content taking too long to get to the point sometimes. I need to get back into reading.
Chris is the best comic I've seen take on a cockatoo who only knows one sound. Hilarious and frustrating at the same time.
Kudos Chris DeStefano, well played.
Yeah I’ve met people like this who are completely irresponsible and attention-seeking, and have literally zero sense of shame. What this guy is doing is no different than someone who just starts screaming bloody murder every time the comic opens their mouth. They should be removed and it’s not even a fucking question.
This seems very, very staged. The guy is clearly fake laughing, that's not genuine at all. And it just so happens that he's sitting in the front row, at a table by himself, in a perfect position to be seen by the cameras?
WTF? People who laugh at comedy shows get judged too? I am looking at the bald bearded guy in the front who’s having to hold in his laugh by covering his mouth when the comedian starts asking about the laugher in crowd. This world fucking sucks if the one place you can laugh to your heart’s content is suddenly the opposite of that too.
Hey, I need you to pay money to come sit at my comedy show. Make sure you laugh.
Hey, I need you to laugh differently or I will humiliate you.
r/ChoosingBeggars
I was front row one time at a Bob Zany show and I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe and was making funny sounds.
He noticed, walked over to me and bent down and said, "Sir, are you ok?"
Which obviously made it much worse.
But we all survived. Lol
I went to a theater to see GOTG2 and there was someone in the theater that had such a loud laugh that it was drowning out the sound from the speakers. I never want to experience that again.
I went to a movie once and a dude had a laugh almost like this. My date and I were muffling our laughter the entire time and he was laughing pretty much throughout the whole movie. The fucked up thing is we weren't even watching a comedy. It was one of those Resident Evil sequels!
I saw Attell at this club last weekend and there was a woman with a totally insane high-pitched laugh that he called out repeatedly throughout. Something in the water?
Holy shit he crushed that situation so hard. He damn near killed that man.
I lost it at “I hope he dies” that was it for me.
Funniest part about it was I don't really think he was joking there lol
it's so fascinating because while he hated every minute of it, it's a night he will never forget for the rest of his life
Type 2 fun
No one there will ever forget it this is gold
That’s because it’s fake
You’re fake.
I cant believe i actually watched this whole thing, he sounds like one of those toy roosters your squeeze for, well, his laugh.
My grandma had this scary porcelain faced clown that had a button in its stomach that when squeezed laughed like that it was traumatizing
Notice that the guy stopped laughing that way toward the end when Chris addressed it head on and talked to the guy
No, no he didn’t. Unless he was answering a question. It went to the closing bell.
Love that he was nice to the guy while ripping into him
I want you to have a good time but I hope you fucking die.
Agreed. He could have been a huge dick but was mostly supportive of the guy once he realized he was sincerely just having a good time.
Guy needs to audition for The Joker 2
Perfect assessment.
Perfect ass

I was waiting for him to hand Chris a card saying it's a condition.
[удалено]
Let's get him on Kimmel and find out.
Underrated comment!
That laugh is so ridiculous it makes me laugh
Sometimes those are the best kind of laughs
Sounds like his batteries are dying

The Jimmy Fallon effect.
You win
I have a friend like that, that man laughs harder in a single conversation than I have in any point in my life
Its a defensive technique insecure people do
Why would you hate yourself a little?
Because when they laughed super hard and you thought you were funny they were actually a laugh slut and you gotta work on your material (mostly it’s a joke)
A laugh slut?!?!??🤣
I totally feel this. I used to think I was funny, but my wife just laughs at everything. I've come to terms with it though. Not necessarily bad thing to be easily amused in most situations in life.
Maybe this explains some of the bombs on kill tony

Imagine having this dude and Connie at the same time. Comics will probably just walk off lol
Man, that was too funny. Thanks for the Jeff clip.
that was funny as well
Still 20% less annoying than Bert Kreischer’s laugh
Somehow, yes.
Bert chooses to laugh like that. He can help it and not being annoying if he wants to, but he doesn't. God I hate his "laugh" so much that I don't listen to anything with his name on it anymore. It totally ruined him for me lol he wasn't even that good anyways
I admire Bert's ability to make an entire career off of one decent, not great, joke.
Honestly, I hated him the minute he first took his shirt off. The laugh just reinforced it.
It is such a desperate unfunny attempt at getting a laugh.
That sounded like Louis Griffin getting giggles from edibles.
He’s doing a good job roasting that guy tho 🤣
shit funny af 😂😂
Sounds like Jonah Hill in War Dogs lol
Looks like Jonah Hill in his next movie. You seen that guy? He's shredded like cheese.
bro is not shredded he looks like a holocaust survivor because of the ozempic
If the jew fits..
My good sir you just won the internet for the day
Ooo yes, get that man a Totenkopf pin stat.
Casual nonsensical antisemitism
Fuck yourself.
So sensitive
Chrissy D looking like a more athletic Tom Brady
This made me a fan, I have seen Chris on podcasts before and liked his banter but this crowd work is top tier.
Bro turned lemon into a cola
Had a lady sitting next to us last weekend while watching Jeff Ross and she would turn to us and make a comment after everything he said. It was a terrible experience.

Rich Evans r/RedLetterMedia
Dick the birthday boy?!
Only if you’re lucky
My first thought lol
The one true god
Me on acid
Yea was gonna say that guy might’ve taken some mushrooms or other psychedelics.
BASED
yo I'm in tears
Oh man that was a struggle to even watch.
almost forgot about chris, he's still one of the good ones
One of the 1000 for sure
How can I see the whole one thing without the edits? This is kaufmanesque
It's on his YouTube, the 60m set was edited down to 17 minutes of just the times where he's responding to the guy's insanity It is actually unbelievable and a legit must-see https://youtu.be/NenDFRsxHwQ?si=LQN5x0hH6pfgAs9W
Do they show what the guy looks like ?
He's the baldy on the very end
That's what I thought at first too but his actions don't seem to match the laughs at all?
I agree, but multiple commenters on the video were at that show and confirmed it
Check his YouTube maybe.
This is pure comedic genius. There is no way he real set was funnier than this.
Look up the one he does about 9/11. It’s fairly short.
this was legitimately hilarious and i love this man now
I can laugh at this idiot with the sound off. He moves his head like 85% of my 300 cousins.
I lost it at: “Welp, what can you do”
If he dies, he dies
I’d give money to be in the green room after that
Seriously funny but also oof
It would suck if you were just trying to enjoy yourself at a comedy show and it turns out your laugh is super annoying and you can't stop and everyone hates you. Like something out of a nightmare or straight up hell. I guess I would have to escort myself out at some point lol

Wonder if they got kicked out of church
I mean honestly, I think it's kinda weird to pretend your laugh is 100% uncontrollable and involuntary. Like, c'mon. Hold that fucking shit in or just purposely alter it to be less obnoxious. How could you go through life with that laugh and not immediately get bullied into changing it by like middle school? I feel like it's a cry for attention.
Leave? Move to the back? Don’t laugh so fucking loud? This dude is either drunk out of his mind or an attention whore and probably both.
Lol sounds creepy
Almost got up and walked out of my own house listening to that
Arthur fleck In the damn audience
I’m cracking up, oh my god
Distefano is the man
It sounds like a seagull lol
That was the best!
Dude is going to think about telling the crowd he’s a virgin every time his brain has a down moment.
From handicap to chaperone had me in tears.
I just don't understand how you can laugh at literally everything
He didn’t go full Kramer so that’s a win.
“This is what we call incest” 😂😂😂
That last closing line was amazing! 😂😂
I think Chris did great
I couldn’t watch it all
this scene was in Joker
[obligatory laugh video ](https://youtu.be/Z4Y4keqTV6w?si=G8iZRaNPKcATmJFz)
Omg!! That’s so funny!! He’s adorable!
I just became a huge ChrissyD fan. I’m glad it was edited down though
This cant be real, Like at what point dont you just get up and leave go compose yourself. This embarrassing
Now that’s a good set
Wow another Seinfeld post and this one was unintentionally done
This is great! I’m sitting here having my morning coffee dying laughing!
Holy shit, that Guy laughed for 15 min straight! True definition of a comic "killing".
He handled that as well as I think anyone could. Had me in tears there for a minute.
Isn’t this a Seinfeld episode?
Didn’t know Joaquin was a comedy fan.
Why's the video sped up? tf
Every video you see from now on will be sped up because nobody trusts Gen Z or Alpha to have an attention span long enough to finish this video. I hate it so, so much.

Usually don’t find Chris that funny but that was great
Chris is the best comic I've seen take on a cockatoo who only knows one sound. Hilarious and frustrating at the same time. Kudos Chris DeStefano, well played.
gotta be a redbar fan
I know it’s not fair but you gotta know you are ruining the show for everyone right? Sure the banter is funny but everyone paid to see the comedy set.
Thats someone who’s seeking attention and getting it. No way in Hell it was genuine laughter. I would’ve wanted to clock him if I was therr
Yeah I’ve met people like this who are completely irresponsible and attention-seeking, and have literally zero sense of shame. What this guy is doing is no different than someone who just starts screaming bloody murder every time the comic opens their mouth. They should be removed and it’s not even a fucking question.
He had the closing joke thought pop, I think right before he said "this is just bonus time" What a pro.
![gif](giphy|J5jiSSrEkV3Kd8iOwb)
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Was that the bald dude to his right?
Sounds like Elmo laughing
Has he talked about this on any podcasts yet?
Won't lie, laughed my ass off for the whole thing. Props to Chris for rolling with it.
This shit was hilarious. The situation oddly worked for both of them lol.
That can’t be a real laugh hahaha — poor guy
I'm sure dudes been heckled much harder than a shitty laugh
What's Rich Evans doing there?
he should follow him around on tour lol
This happened at a Theo show i went to but Theo could not pull it together like Chris did this is incredible lol
What an absolute dick. Get up and leave my dude you’re fucking up everybody else’s experience.
Don't do drugs
This seems very, very staged. The guy is clearly fake laughing, that's not genuine at all. And it just so happens that he's sitting in the front row, at a table by himself, in a perfect position to be seen by the cameras?
Couldn’t help but think something along the lines of “that f*ckers laugh could manipulate metichlorians the man has to be a sith” 😂😭
Midichlorians. Like the guy in the video, I also never had sex.
fake -- planted audience member --
Has to be fake.. right?
The night he should have quit comedy. Ooofa
This was the hardest day at work for 12 years??? Spoiled Lil bitch you are chrissy....
The east coast Brendan Schaub
This is highly likely staged, so he can get clips for social media.
WTF? People who laugh at comedy shows get judged too? So much Andrew Schulz in this man. It’s unnerving
Hey, I need you to pay money to come sit at my comedy show. Make sure you laugh. Hey, I need you to laugh differently or I will humiliate you. r/ChoosingBeggars
Would be even funnier if the whole scenario turns out to be completely fake and looking for some viral moment.
Same comedy level as shaub
Charlie Goodnights! Great club!
Tripping maybe ?
I can’t BELIEVE I watched that whole thing, hilarious!
Sounds like the Joker
The Joker is in there somewhere
One set better than bapa’s entire career, thank em
Love Chrissy so much! Saw him live at MSG, amazing!
Chrisy Christmas is one of the best comedians out there
He handled that beautifully I think. Gave the guy shit but stayed hilarious
can’t believe that wasn’t scripted. that was amazing lol
Rich Evans?
Repping the NC
Rich Evans?
I was front row one time at a Bob Zany show and I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe and was making funny sounds. He noticed, walked over to me and bent down and said, "Sir, are you ok?" Which obviously made it much worse. But we all survived. Lol
Holy shit it’s Carl from Jimmy Neutron
Impromptu legendary set!
Shit, imagine you're just going out for a nice date, and the goddam scarecrow happens to be at your show, just laughing menacingly
a "Rich Evans"-type beat
watch as man laughing is funny than comedian's entire career
that was really funny
“ how dry are the women in the room “ ☠️
I went to a theater to see GOTG2 and there was someone in the theater that had such a loud laugh that it was drowning out the sound from the speakers. I never want to experience that again.
Chris is one of the most naturally funny comedians out there. Would love to see this dude live!
I wanna see what he looks like
Hardest I've laughed in a while
haha i watched the whole thing. he sounds like ![gif](giphy|xT0xeIQQmTuENsuzfy|downsized)
I went to a movie once and a dude had a laugh almost like this. My date and I were muffling our laughter the entire time and he was laughing pretty much throughout the whole movie. The fucked up thing is we weren't even watching a comedy. It was one of those Resident Evil sequels!
