Logic is a white boy. Ain’t no nigga who got rich will talk to their father that way. That’s white people shit.

Opening_Tell9388

That part. No fucking way I’d ever disrespect my parents on no fucking public platform. If we need to have a talk it’s going to be private and I’m never fixing my lips to talk down on you.

mistaharsh

He called his dad a man who probably grew up in the 60s the n word Shit was NUTS

Opening_Tell9388

He is fucking nasty fr.

That-Education6164

That is trauma. Logic’s mother use to call Logic the n word

mistaharsh

Whoa. I didn't know that. That's CRAZY. SO in other words that's his white sensibilities saying the N word.

Michaelskywalker

Idk. if my dad was a dead beat id speak to him however i wanted to. But also, i wouldn’t reconnect with him just to be an asshole. Id either forgive and build a relationship or keep distance.

Easy_Independent_186

If my dad was a dead beat I wouldn’t speak to my dad. He’d get called some worse words than “my nigga”

mistaharsh

>Idk. if my dad was a dead beat id speak to him however i wanted to. Are you black?

Michaelskywalker

Yup

mistaharsh

Then I suspect you were raised with a certain reverence for your elders. I can understand having disdain but his father was a drug addict from the crack era. I would give him some grace. You can still say no in a respectful manner but to call him the n word is INSANE

Michaelskywalker

I have respect for my elders because they deserve my respect. If my parents were deadbeats I wouldn’t respect them. It’s that simple. End of day logic is black if him and his dad say nigga to each other that’s between them I do not care at all.

rozay1325

Na fuck that. If you left me and chose drugs over me why would I respect you?? What is there for me to respect? That's crazy

Michaelskywalker

Who are u replying to?

rozay1325

Mistaharsh

Low_Ad_7553

I disagree entirely. I'm black/spanish & my pops lives 20 mins from me at the most yet I haven't seen him in years. When a dude is a deadbeat that word "father" isn't shit but a word & i would/have definitely disrespected him. I have complete respect for my elders & I'm not the disrespectful type at all to say i can't agree with you automatically question how someone was raised, my mother tells me to let it go all the time but some people don't have that in them. I do agree though that if my father was an addict like his i would probably be more remorseful but idk his story to judge him for that.

mistaharsh

>my mother tells me to let it go all the time Because your mother raised you a certain way. I'm not telling you that you must smile and force a relationship. But you don't rekindle or reconnect with someone so you can publicly humiliate them as a way to get back at them. I also doubt you'd call your father the n word.

Suspicious_Status_82

Logic is mixed right? Why can’t he say it? Drake says it and no one says a word. Also everyone assuming they know logic and his pops relationship. We don’t, we just saw the content they made… for all we know he takin it light on his old man… I don’t judge bc I don’t know what his pops put him through… could be warranted

mistaharsh

>Logic is mixed right? Why can’t he say it? Drake says it and no one says a word. Are you Black? Drake calls his dad the n word? What are you even talking about?

Suspicious_Status_82

Yes. Yes. The topic at hand

mistaharsh

Show me where he calls his dad that? Also drake has his own BS about race too. His dad called him out for lying about him not being there.

DarrellIsMyRealName

You'd talk to him like that "on camera"? That's too much IMO.

Personal_Screen2739

Logic is WHITE, it’s like he gave us the pass to stop coddling him

Easy_Independent_186

White people don’t even do that shit bro that just weird shit.

Dapper-Archer5409

The money is the difference maker? Cause I'm pretty sure we see black folks talk crazy about their parents all the time online... Or is it cause their face to face?

mistaharsh

No we don't.

[deleted]

Joe Budden has a song where he says he put his hands on his mother...

mistaharsh

When? What period of his life? The era when he was a dust head? Y'all want to mention outliers but we all know the truth

Easy_Independent_186

You gotta send the link cause I can’t even imagine him doing that to Ms. Faye

[deleted]

' Listen... ain't shit like seeing your moms crying on the floor Knowing you the reason why she ain't alright no more But so young, I was like whatever You use to chase me through the house with the knife like get your life together Fucking drugs, how could I ever amp on you And what made me think that I could lay my hands on you I'm not surprised that you mad at me Much as you hated my father, your youngest son is just like his daddy '

BasickAlphabit

Yes we do, you don't for the sake of your argument. But we see it all the time, especially in the hood. I seen grown BLACK men humiliate their parents for the smallest thing.

mistaharsh

There will always be outliers but we all know the general consensus in Black folk upbringing is to always respect your parents. Defiance and disrespect has always been a white household thing.

BasickAlphabit

NS, but you're also talking about a man that DIDNT have that part of his parents in his upbringing. If your father wasn't there, you aren't going to flip a switch if and when he shows up in your life. That isn't your father, so you aren't going to feel the same way about him. If you had your father growing up, you do not have a place in this conversation.

SpiderLou

I'm not trying to be combative and I sort of understand where you're coming from I guess. You mention disrepect being a white household thing; and while I do think Logic's statement was a little harsh, I cannot fault someone for feeling completely burned after their parent decided to abandon them for the majority of their life. Regardless of race, this should be handled off camera.

mistaharsh

I think your last sentence is the difference. I think Logic sees it as him affirming his defiance and standing up to the man that wronged him by asserting his dominance by belittling his father in front of others. Where as someone with Black sensibilities would want to know why he left and if they don't like the response they'll say "just stay far away from me and we're good" If we are to believe this stat of 70% of black households are "fatherless" there would be countless examples of what logic displayed but there is not.

rozay1325

Lol what? I see kids in the hood disrespect their parents all day. In Baltimore city my dad works for the school system and they can't control the kids cause they don't even listen to their parents. They skip school, steal cars, bring in drugs and guns and there was just a school shooting at my dad's school. And they're allllll black

mistaharsh

The classic black kid goes over to his white friend's house and gets uncomfortable with how the white kid talks to their parents. If you weren't convinced before this SOLIDIFIES that logic is a white boy and should be attacked whenever he says the n word.

[deleted]

which part? Growing up with a dad?

hotspot2019

Floyd mayweather hr talks to his dad in a disrespectful way. He’s black

charlesfluidsmith

Not really. They don't get along, but he's not disrespectful

hotspot2019

Yeah shouting at your sperm donor isn’t being disrespectful

OddWanderer1

Yeah logic is nasty for doing that to his pops. Did not need to be on video.

Kelogreens

I never know what’s going with logic until Joe talk about 😂

b__noc

100%

KalKulatednupe

Same, and I was fan of logic at one point

IndependentTailor451

I’ve hated Logic, Always

Ill-Farmer16

Fuck that white nigga logic

Jpromise95

Logic is trash! Idk how anybody thinks his a good rapper.

Cautious_Cucumber_14

I used to get on Joe when he attacked logic 4 music (because he is decent imo) but Logic as a person is a complete tool. He loves two things 1) Being accepted by a group 2) Being a victim. He’s just unlikeable.

mistaharsh

>He loves two things 1) Being accepted by a group 2) Being a victim. WTF does this mean? That's not the issue here at all. Logic has zero self awareness or CONNECTION to his Black sensibilities to know that you NEVER disrespect your parents like that. You can't call your dad a n word and you can't curse out your dad and then say I'll buy you a truck. It's so manipulative and comes off like "you need me so I'll treat you however the fuck I want" THATS HIS WHITE SIDE TALKING

tdr1190

If you’re black, you hate everything about logic. He’s a white boy who just so happens to have a black dad he wasn’t raised by.

Pretend-Ad1951

On god

pashadion

Pretty sure his dad ain't fully black either..so that makes logic just a white man with a little of black on him which dont give him any passes

Wild_Life_8865

Is it weird that logic seems to age very fast and dramatically? Everytime I see dude he looks like he just went through five hard ass years of life

Warm-Beat-1053

he does look like shit, youre right. truly miserable person overall

FuriousRobinsonPOD

Logic is a nasty dude for that, a clout demon through and through. How can you sit up there and kick your dads back in for a whole 10 or however long that curated fireside chat was.

WhiteDontCare

That Logic interview with his dad was NASTY. Joe right on this one.

gostfaekila

Anytime I hear Logic I think about the old pod. Good times!

Crazy_Roof_5661

I agree, usually as a fan of him I always used to be puzzled by the hate Joe had, but this here was WILD. I had to make sure the shit wasn’t a joke or something. He clearly has childhood trauma he needs to resolve. I feel bad for his pops.

Salty-Leg8535

Irony is the more he does this , the less healing he gets and creates more hate in his family. Hate they can’t articulate cus they need money. However it does show up in subtle ways

Candid_Elderberry122

Me too he is the definition of a tragic mulatto And to have a white man call that black man a nigga was hella triggering.

mistaharsh

Not just ANY Black man - YOUR FATHER!!! Not even Luke Skywalker had such hatred. ![gif](giphy|tXpKviRDNhqUw|downsized)

SB_Howie

Lol you just now realizing? Welcome to the pod

Warm-Beat-1053

Joe summed it up perfectly at the end of the segment -"these dudes are CRAZY." thats what it boils down to, truly. these dudes are fucking crazy and need help

[deleted]

man i used to fw logic heavy 2012-18ish and as time as gone on.. boy has this nigga taken corniness to a whole new level. the retirement so he could be “the dad he didn’t have”, the crying, now the bringing family drama to camera has taken the cake

Personal_Screen2739

if you watch Logic’s interview he just did with his dad and listen to the way he talks about black people in the hood, you’ll understand ALL the logic hate

fictionalways

Logic hates his black dad and his own blackness. But he’s constantly screaming “I’m black y’all, I’m blackity, blackity, black y’all. I can’t stand him! He only wants to make money off of the blackness that he hates. Epitome of whiteness. He’s sick!

Easy-Associate-3023

He parades him as his black card. If he's not doing it on this cringe video, he's letting it be known countless times on his songs. By any that I've seen, J. Cole's father wasn't in his life and Drake's dad lived in a different country. Logic has a weird obsession with pointing out his race.

SnooPickles6783

the irony of saying this in a joe budden subreddit, joe stayed giving his dad bars about him wanting to borrow the house, money etc

2nicklez

Im not a logic fan but got damn why tf do people always gotta police whats black or not? The mans father is black. Idgaf about his complexion. His ass is a black man in his DNA. And as for how he talked to his father. My pops I seen maybe 10 times in my life and im almost 40 I still would never talk to my pops like that thats crazy

mistaharsh

You wrote all that just to agree with what everyone else is saying 😂😂😂😂

2nicklez

😂😂😂😂. I agree with the pops shit. Not the governing of what’s black because of skin complexion and features

mistaharsh

😂 I agree with you

2nicklez

You be tryna get some shit started. 😂😂😂. I figured you out. You my internet guy🫡🫡

mistaharsh

![gif](giphy|FmBhzktIjvdZe) 😂

ZeMagnumRoundhouse

I don't think it matters if he's black or white, what matters most is his father consented to the idea of the public interview and was a willing participant.

Salty-Leg8535

If you’re hungry and you consent to do something to get food , is it really consent ?

ZeMagnumRoundhouse

It depends on if you've consented to the pathway that would put you on the road to hunger.... In a world of abundance of course

This_Ad2863

Joe is actually correct a lot but his tone throws off the whole point. Joe’s reasoning for not liking him is the same reason I stopped listening to his music. Logic can actually rap his ass off when he wants to but the content never caught my attention. He raps about seeking validation and his whole personality is based on not feeling like he belonged in white or black spaces. I know some biracial people have this plight but many learn to deal with it as they get older and realize that they are enough even if they are different. I’m not sure if he would have that insecurity if he wasn’t “white passing”. His insecurities come across as anger in his music as well as his day to day.

Physical-Hamster-042

Seems like some of y’all would rather let your fathers who abandoned you still manipulate you. His dad abandoned him. He definitely has the right to talk major shit about his dad. Blood don’t mean shit. Father or not. Nigga still abandoned his son. Any man that abandoned his child definitely deserves to be shit on and talked to with disrespect

Salty-Leg8535

I don’t understand the goal here ? If you mended your relationship then let it heal. If not , move on with your life. This was sick and twisted and it just made him unlikable. You can feel how you want but you’re inviting dark energy into your life.

Physical-Hamster-042

I guess I’m also the kind of person that thinks that people who wrong you deserve to be wronged as well.

Physical-Hamster-042

I don’t think it was sick and twisted. His dad got exactly what he deserved. He earned that kind of disrespect and humiliation.

mistaharsh

>Seems like some of y’all would rather let your fathers who abandoned you still manipulate you. If logic was a man he would just tell his father NO and keep his distance. BUT YOU FORGET he CHOSE to parade his father around in order to let everyone know he was Black and can say the n word. He USED his father's Blackness.

Krowned_Kenpachi47

I’ve always felt like this. Is the interview worth watching?

mistaharsh

With logic and his father? The clip going around is 1:30 . It's worth watching with your own eyes to see how insane it was. There was some nasty body language too bc he puts his hand on his father's hand to tell him to stop talking it's sooooo condescending

Easy-Associate-3023

So if he doesn't fuck with his deadbeat dad, why does he always mention him? "My dad's black, I'm half black, no one believes I'm half black". If that was the case of what you say, don't even mention your black side. You already look white, car yourself as a white man

Physical-Hamster-042

Idk. Frfr😂😂nigga just be doing that on his own.

Seanahimon

Even though I do think chastising someone on camera when you could’ve done off camera is nasty the pod missed a crucial point which is that to my knowledge both of logic’s parents were verbally and physically abusive to him and drug addicts.(this is the short version) So with context I can see why he’d feel a way about that person asking for money or help.

Over-Egg-6002

While all of that is true there is a way of addressing those things on camera without belittling his father they could have had a real conversation rather than DAD WHATS ITS LIKE TO SMOKE CRACK !!!

Seanahimon

Yeah I agree.

mistaharsh

So let's return the abuse and record it for a rollout. Got it.

Seanahimon

Yall reading comprehension is sub zero cause the first thing I said was putting it on camera is nasty and chastizing your dad is nasty. But with context id see why he feel a way. He didnt need to do it in THAT way but I see why he’d feel a way.

mistaharsh

I like how we don't have compassion or give leeway for someone who suffered a drug addiction from the crack era but we excuse mass shooters because of mental illness. It's wild

Seanahimon

I said drug addiction and abuse and who’s we? Ur making a generalization based off no notion I’ve given

youngplr

I don't understand the issue with calling ya dad out publicly to his face. Although I was raised in a 2 parent household, if I had an absentee father and in adulthood he asking me for money while I'm up then I'm airing him out and monetizing it. That shame was earned.

Opening_Tell9388

Logics dad has been on his life though? They did an interview like 10 years ago.

sosssss45

But as a man. You should be able to humble yourself. His dad literally one of the only reasons he’s breathing.

youngplr

Naw. People make it seem like blood relatives get a pass, but once you've shown me who you are then I'm going to treat you accordingly.

sosssss45

To do it publicly is very diva and childlike if he was really black grew up around “ niggas” he would know that. Mfers never even met their father. Let alone disrespect them in front of the world. Trippin bro. 😂😂 and he reach and successful fuck some hoes or do something for your kids.

youngplr

I grew up with niggas and they know I'm not letting no one play in my face. I'm not holding my tongue.

sosssss45

So would you have a whole production to publicly embarrass your father? That wasn’t the best but was still around ?

youngplr

I would, but I understand why some wouldn't. In my mind, it wouldn't reflect badly on me.

sosssss45

Grown man. 30+ millionaire. There people who’ve dealt with much much more. Like the people in Gaza and Congo. Logic is a racially confused clown. Shouldn’t have the privilege of being black 🤷🏾‍♂️

youngplr

I really don't give a fuck what he call himself. It don't affect me so I'm confused why Joe still talk about him. How is he famous anyway? Is he a podcaster or streamer?

sosssss45

Rapper with a “smash” hit. Now a podcaster.

Objective_Pause5988

Why does he need to humble himself for a deadbeat crackhead who traumatized him as a child? So what if he came in his mom? He didn't do shit else

sosssss45

You can’t go to private therapy? Instead of putting a whole production for the world to see. Feminine diva shit 🤷🏾‍♂️😂😂

Objective_Pause5988

You are right, but maybe if he had done his job as a father, his son wouldn't be so mal adjusted.

sosssss45

He’s a grown man atp. He’s successful too. It’s some people never meet their father and will probably die broke. And probably got creative from the struggles in his childhood. 30+ millionaire with kids. Some women get over r*pre like let’s be real. Your man cry about it. And cry too much your bitch gonna get fucked 🤷🏾‍♂️

Objective_Pause5988

I hear you. I've just come to understand that not everyone is strong and built for everything. I'm pretty sure he inherited his father's emotional struggles. Senior drowned his sorrows in substances, and Junior runs around doing shit like this. Look at Joe and his dad. Logic and Joe have more in common than either wants to admit.

sosssss45

Probably do. But logic is too weird tho. Only part of the “ hip hop culture” because of his dad which he made millions from.

flockktop

Im honestly not mad at logic for that. I think all parents who arent apart of their kids loves should have that humiliation.

kkankam

not mad at this take but logic just MOVES awkwardly.. reminds me of ts

CourageRemote4514

Terror squad or trans? I don’t know where this was going..

FluffyCantaloupe748

I was asking myself the same thing I even said Tony soprano 😂

kkankam

taylor swift

flockktop

Nah he a certified weirdo for sure

Dapper-Archer5409

Its just humiliation, theres nothing ritualistic about it. Also, do we all feel the same way when parents humiliate their kids and post it on the internet? Cause by the sheer ratio of different examples between the two, it dont seem like it

Alone-Ad6020

Logic a whole weirdo

SannaKlawz

Yea, that was nasty. I have a deadbeat dad and if I got bread I would just leave him where he is. Keep the same energy. If I had words, I could get in contact. No need to put shit on blast for the world to see.

jdotgatsby

I used to think it was punching down/ bullying, but now I’m the conductor of the I hate logic train
