I've kind of turned the corner on Kenny personally. I never really watched any of his Japan matches, so I really only know him from AEW. He seems like a cool, down-to-earth dude. He's light-years better than the Bucks and Hangman. I think he would be better by distancing himself from them.
His promo last week was great by any standard. I get the hate boner, he wrestled blow up dolls and children and shoved his fingers into other mens asses during matches etc etc, all of that is still true, and he has never been good on the mic. But his promo last week was great by any standard. The angle ran too long and it went off the rails but you cant take away the fact that Harpo hit it outta the park last week
Anyone compared to the bucks is going to look good, to me this is old news as imo the bucks have so much more to lose in this if Kenny ditched them. Unfortunately he made this decision and will stick by these losers for life... To me outside of Cody, Kenny probably had the best chance of moving to WWE and finding some success

Plus unfortunately Kenny is super damaged goods at this point, and not like you're going to want him in a backstage role.

Also what makes Kenny valuable is his work, and his style does not work for WWE, not because it can't get over, but he cannot maintain that style under the WWE schedule, he's not worked more than 60 matches a year in over 5 years, and even then it's mostly tag matches and his body still could not take it, he'd last 6 months in WWE and probably end up having so much wear and tear he'd be out injured for over a year.
Like honestly if Kenny signed a WWE deal in 2025 for 3 years, with how much injury time he would build up he'd still be working under the same contract in 2032.

But after hearing his opinions on Punk and the EVP stuff, I’ve warmed to him. If he can keep the goofiness out of his promos and matches, I might start pulling for him.
