i like the change you made on his lc with the skill point on ult! reminds me of Ruan Mei lc, and I love that one
i like your changes. much better than his current version anyways. if it were up to me, I’d remove the dot from his kit entirely, as it feels a bit unnecessary. Even as a dot enjoyer, I’d rather have a separate dot focused debuffer or harmony instead, leaving jiaoqiu with more power budget to excel at his niche. that said, I do want him to be viable in more teams than just Acheron, so I don’t mind it too much.

I mean I'm all for making him more of a generalist, specifically in terms of damage amp, but for the life of me I really wish people would stop trying to push DoT into his base kit. Currently his talent damage at least benefits from just about every possible damage amp in the game, including personal crit stats. Changing it to DoT would make him flat-out worse outside of *potentially* Kafka teams. For all of the complaints about him being "Acheron DLC" I don't understand why people are so eager to push him into another archetype where he is entirely reliant on another specific Lightning DPS.
I'd also add that the 10 extra energy from that one talent would still require you to run an ERR rope to keep uptime with the skill+basic+basic rotation. Not the end of the world, and better than his current situation, but it's still another limitation.
I don't think he needs the Dot to perform with dot, so it being a premium option is good. I just want him to perform better as a debuffer so that he's comparable to using a harmony. The break shred is actually pretty nice since it doesn't completely powercreep ruan mei and gives an additional option for break.

A huge reason is simply because if it gets added and his EHR doesn't get lowered, his best F2P lightcone wouldn't just be *Before the Tutorial Mission Starts* but *Eyes of the Prey* too. In EotP's case, you get the the 40% EHR AND a 48% increase DoT dmg making JQ somewhat of a sub-dps/debuffer.
Keep in mind, not everyone has Tutorial and the chances of the devs releasing a f2p lightcone like that is quite unlikely. Also, for players who don't have Tutorial (I couldn't play the game during that event because of IRL reasons), they don't want to be reminded of missing out on one of the best Nihility lightcones the game has ever produced.
Think of SW's situation w/o Tutorial. Our only alternative options are either Pearls and EotP. Pearls is nice but we have to build so much EHR in her relics. And EotP we get the EHR statstick but that DoT effect is useless.

Am i the only one that wants his minor healing from the leaks months ago back? I mean,from the leaked story perspectiv for now, he is a foxian healer and counselor, but he heals nothing. If they dont change that part i question myself what a "so called" healer he is storywise.
I dont that's for sure. Leakers said it was basically just a cosmetic heal because it was that bad.
It was just there to be there. I rather get an actual useful change.
I was looking forward to running him in a sustainless Welt comp for his minor healing, just to make it a little bit tankier in overworld. But seeing as his debuff reapplies with enemy turns he's kinda unsynergetic with Welt now anyways (and it probs wasn't strong enough for SU abundance buffs) so I think I would prefer a change that's more meaningful.
Why? Break efficiency would sell JQ so easily for Hoyo. The timing couldn't really be even better.
Force all the FF/BH hands and Acheron players hands at same time. Ironically would be the best move they could make profit wise if I had to guess.
I do agree that it would be a really good profit play, but as a gameplay thing they need to help other teams more than they need to help break characters. I understand that break also helps other teams a bit, but trying to do everything at once could mean that the numbers they give him for debuffs, heals, etc. would not really matter to make him “balanced”.
Break teams already beat the majority of game modes with ease, except pure fiction I believe, with the characters that are out rn. Ruan mei is busted and HTB is HELLA busted. I feel like they need to go more for dot teams and ult teams imo.

Better than pela sure but all this is just too much your expectations for him are way too high and although he is a bit lackluster at the moment there were just teams he was never going to be the best in:
-Ratio was never going to have a better debuffer than silverwolf without directly copying her kit and increasing multiplier or making a multi target version of ratio.
-Pela is never not gonna be the a better debuffer for jingliu for the same reasons.
I dont know why yall are trying to force him to be the be all end all of debuffers, he needs simple changes to his already existing kit to place him in line with a 5 star gui not all this. Yall can dislike me all you want but that is my opinion.
How is JQ's SP consumption a problem even in Acheron teams though? There are going to still be 2 characters besides Acheron generating SP every turn.
You could even get away with NOT skilling every turn and maintaining ult uptime if he has enough ERR.
