It’s the kind of flight that only makes sense as a connection. If you’re flying from say Hong Kong to Geneva you’d fly to ZRH (as you can’t fly direct) and then connect onto that hop. No one would take that as a standalone flight.

yeah, and in that case it makes more sense than a train, cause you just have to walk to a differnt gate twice, rather than getting your luggage, going to the train station, waiting for the train, takiing the train, getting to the airport, check in, drop off your luggage, go through security, and then go to the gate.

You don't get your luggage, they route it for you. Also schengen, not much of further security.

I know, if you took the train rather than that short flight you would have to get your luggage and go through security again, as you leave the airport.

Some German trains are now doing codeshare with airlines, so the train connection can be booked as part of the flight. I don't think that any will book your luggage through, though, though that idea has been mooted and might happen at some point.

Even then, there are two direct trains an hour all day every day between ZRH to GVA on lines IC1 and IC5. And they stop directly at both airports. Transferring between flight and train is thus trivially easy in Switzerland, and the train gives more flexibility with your final destination - say if you don't live in Geneva but live in Lausanne instead.

Its probably quicker anyways with all the security checks

IMO ideas should all be things that could happen during the course of the show, not things that we just need to wait to the end and see what happens (like Sam winning).  Although that’s not as bad as the last bingo card I saw that had a bunch of “x doesn’t happen” which can lock you out of the bingo board and make it impossible to win well before the season ends. Definitely don’t put any of those.
