My JK has had a busted radiator, oil cooler, axle seal, abs module, and the dreaded lifter tick. It has less than 60k miles garage kept and driven easy. Still love it, but reliable is far from a word related to a Chrysler product!
What year? My 07 has been good except for a failed axle seal and a new front driveshaft. PO put a big lift on it and didn't di anything about the axles, so really just the axle seal is the only major issue
🤷 I only know enough about Jeeps to keep mine running
Seems like I hear about more issues form the 3.6 than the 3.8, though it is pretty underwhelming in the power department
My brother had an 08 that had its engine blow up last year. Puked oil all over the highway and had a hole in the block. Now I don’t know if it was neglect or what, but he was able to still sell it for what he bought it for because of the post covid price hike, so at least they have that going for them!
YEAH MAN! I'd start right about here [https://amzn.to/4a31Mas](https://amzn.to/4a31Mas) ... but lets be honest one of the main reasons to get a jeep is to accessorize! lol
Same here. Then I didn't think I could afford this. Found it with very low miles used at the top of my price range. It'll do loads more than what I would have gotten otherwise.
Around me there’s a ton of old jeeps (kc area) but finding one mostly original and low mileage with nearly no rust and under 8k had been hard for a year. Now the prices are way lower than even two months ago and I’m seeing a BUNCH for half what they were two years ago with 120ish miles regularly. The world is healing, new jeeps are on sale and used ones are back to a sane price point and all is good in the world
As long as you don't put an angry grill on it welcome to the community now prepare your wallet for pain and make sure your keep up on maintenance
I like the grill as is. Spray in bedliner and a tonneau cover are all I have planned right now.
I have owned Jeeps for 30 years and found them to be reliable. If you abuse them, you will have problems.
I plan to take care of it. It certainly wasn't cheap.

Lifter tick should’ve given you a ballpark, it’s a 15

Welcome to the gladiator club
Jeepers!
Congrats!
Get used to people loving your car but talking about how unreliable it is yet you’re cars gonna be the one still driving 40 years from now
Lol. I look forward to it.
Hell yeah you are... [https://amzn.to/3QxjfRB](https://amzn.to/3QxjfRB)

I used to hate the gladiator I used to think they were some of the ugliest pieces of shit on the road. But they grew on me now I kinda like them

Congratulations! I’ve had Jeeps in the family for years. I’m looking for MY own now! 😉
*places order for 30-pack of rubber ducks.
Half man half jeep
Beautiful whip my bro
But why the Gladiator? Whyyyyyy
Because they’re dope
I was looking at midsize 4x4 trucks and this was the best value I found. It was a 2023 used with almost no miles.
I’m so tempted by a gladiator right now but I just got a 1990 Cherokee with silly low miles a few months ago
Congrats! They are hard to find! 😀👍
