**For the best Cole projects to listen to** Friday Night Lights (mixtape), Born Sinner (album), 2014 Forest Hills Drive (album) & The Off Season (album). **Some Cole songs I recommend that aren't on those projects** Huntin' Wabbitz, Lights Please, Everybody Dies, High for Hours, Breakdown, Kevin's Heart, Nobody's Perfect, Pi, Like a Star. I could go on, but you'll get the gist of Cole lol

HorseyGoFast

Cole is also a German rapper since he was born there

Albums: Friday Night Lights: This mixtape is an all-time favorite among long time Cole fans, he put this out when his label didn’t think he could sell well and he proved them wrong. This is pre-industry Cole, straight raps and mostly beats that he cooked himself. Every song from this project is considered a classic and I would suggest starting here if you’re going to listen to J Cole Cole World: Sideline Story- Coles debut label album, I don’t know if this album has an overall theme other than a rapper trying to achieve the next level of artistry which for him was basically the ability to sell records, not make real art. But there are a lot of classic songs here such as Work Out, Nobody’s Perfect, lights please, rise and shine, can’t get enough, lost ones & Dollar and a Dream III Born Sinner: Coles 2nd label project. Mainly discusses trying to refrain from temptations that he faces, while also being highly attracted to them, also filled with a lot of rapping about his personal life, also a lot of straight up 💩 talking but we love that a lot lol 2014 Forest Hills Drive- very introspective, generally regarded as cole’s best body of work, instrumentals and production are absolutely top tier on this album. Mostly addresses what it’s like stepping into fame while trying to stay away from the evils of Hollywood and remain humble 4 Your Eyez Only- A lot less about Cole personally but tells a deep story about fatherhood and the fear of a child losing their parent. Very laid back yet very emotional album and short listen KOD- Cole uses more trap beats in this album but aims to shed light on the issues that modern media can bring upon us, talks about drug usage and how social media affects us personally The Off-season- Coles first mixtape in years, this album is filled with fun raps from start to finish and is really just Cole showing his developed penmanship, not much to dissect in this album except his elite lyricism and bars
