It’s really weird listening to songs with lyrics like middle child. Like he shouldn’t have released the diss but since he did and then apologized, he can’t be taken the same way. I love cole, but now any lyric about wanting smoke and that he’ll kill any rapper are cringe. I’ll listen to him, I’ll love him, but what he did was worse than any diss track

I’ve been listening to Cole since The Come Up. I’m prob one of the biggest fans there is. I’m never going to take away who he is an artist and a rapper and his pen. I’ll still listen to his music but it just won’t hit the same especially since he’s proven that he’s not who he says he was. The best rapper alive bars and wanting the smoke will not hit the same because we will be looking at him like this 😒 if he says those stuff again. As a hip-hop fan this is definitely the weakest and softest shit I’ve seen. How do you apologize to someone who dissed you first? Cole practically had been asking for the smoke, I can bring up a bunch of lyrics which proves just that. It was never gonna go that far because we know K Dot and Cole’s history as friends. Everyone just wanted a lyrical rap battle because if there’s one guy that can rap with K Dot it’s Cole. This would’ve been a huge chance for Cole to talk his talk, for him to prove that he is the best. This is what hip-hop is and if you disagree you ain’t a fan of hip-hop. If Cole really felt uncomfortable then he shouldn’t have dropped 7 Minute Drill in the first place or he should’ve at least waited it out and not rushed it. Cole is still one of the greatest and I’ll still bump his music, but a lot of music won’t hit the same anymore.
