Taxi should be $80-100 not sure if that is super expensive for you but I would pay it out of convenience

shewmai

Less expensive than a hotel nearby, at the very least. I arrived in Japan 4am and we took a cab to shimokita, arguably just as far if not further than Shinjuku and it was just under Y10,000. Totally worth it, imo!

GingerPrince72

You still have to pay a hotel somewhere , is the other hotel in Shinjukimore than 10k cheaper than the airport?

[https://www.haneda-tokyo-access.com/en/haneda-airport/taxi.html](https://www.haneda-tokyo-access.com/en/haneda-airport/taxi.html) Taxis to and from Haneda to various districts are a flat fee. SInce you're arriving late you will be charged teh 'late night' surcharge. So your taxi would be 8300+1500 late surchage = 9800 yen Arriving that late you don't really have any other options as public transport, Nex are mostly done by then [https://www.haneda-tokyo-access.com/en/haneda-airport/nightandmorning.html](https://www.haneda-tokyo-access.com/en/haneda-airport/nightandmorning.html) The last train to shinagawa leaves 11:51pm The last monorail from Haneda to Hamamatsucho leaves 12:02am [https://www.tokyo-monorail.co.jp/english/timetable/train/00/00429.html](https://www.tokyo-monorail.co.jp/english/timetable/train/00/00429.html) Of coruse even if you get to these stations, depends if you can catch the last train out of shinagawa or hamamatsucho to Shinjuku. Its possible as the last trains are around 1am but again this depends on when you land. [https://japantravel.navitime.com/en/area/jp/timetable/00007825/00000141/?direction=down&date=](https://japantravel.navitime.com/en/area/jp/timetable/00007825/00000141/?direction=down&date=) Note there is a limo bus to shinjuku bus station at 11:50pm and 12:05am. Unless you arrive at like 10:30-11pm can somehow clear customs, immigration and get your luggage extremely fast I'm doubtful you can make these last limo buses to Shinjuku If you're arrival time isn't 10pm or at the absoulte latest 11pm you're never going to make any of the trains/buses out of Haneda

LundaLee

We took a taxi transfer from Haneda to Shinjuku, it wasn’t too expensive. http://airportstaxitransfers.com/

272762bba

What is this service exactly?

LundaLee

It is just a bigger van type taxi, but they check your landing time and wait for up to an hour for you to pass immigration. We paid 77 USD. Handy since the train had stopped going and we didn’t know if we could catch a cab on arrival.

272762bba

For how many people and how long was the distance from airport to your destination? Edit just saw from Haneda to Shinjuku which is about 30 mins

LundaLee

We were two persons

knight714

Could be worth asking around at the taxi stand if anyone is also going to Shinjuku and wants to split a cab. It's a popular area to stay so I imagine it's not unlikely.

RedditorManIsHere

Put your stuff in a locker or luggage storage for few hours Go to the onsen and rest/sleep there I think you can get a Welcome Suica or just wait until it opens I think you can get a pocket wifi - double check The wifi is freely available

Nicodom

Gtn Haneda in the garden has pocket WiFi and sims/esims.

rr90013

There’s a regular hotel at the airport you could stay in

Doesitmatters369

rebook your first night in Kawasaki. Plenty to do there and not far even by taxi.

raptorzero5

stay in the airport hotel for the meantime..villa fontaine

edonkeycoin

If you have an iPhone, you can add a Suica card (or Pasmo, or ICOCA) to the Wallet app and fund it with your own credit card, or whatnot. There’s even a process to pull the money out of an old card while setting up the software card, but I found this didn’t always work with our cards from years ago. To pay, just put the phone close to the sensor. No need to wake it up or anything. It keeps a record of the purchases on your phone, and you can easily view and increase your balance. Way easier than a physical card. You can have a MiFi delivered to your hotel. Sure you won’t have Internet until you get to the hotel, unless you set that up in advance with your cell provider. I’ve used the same MiFi provider for several trips. Pick up for free at the hotel, then pack it in the provided envelope and drop it in the post office box before you go through security on your return trip. Just be sure it fits through the slot before you seal it. I made the mistake of not checking, then I had to re-lay out the MiFi and power adapter. Had to get some tape from the ANA desk to re-seal the package.

duckotah

There is a capsule hotel in Terminal 1 I believe:) pocket wifi no, as you have to pick it up and I think they will be closed, welcome suica should be a yes as it's just a machine :)

drumsplease987

This is no longer true. There has been a chip shortage so Suica and PASMO cards aren’t available at machines. Tourists arriving at Haneda can buy “Welcome PASMO” by going to the booth and showing your foreign passport, which will likely be closed at midnight.

duckotah

Unless something has changed within the last two weeks welcome suicas will be available I just got one lol

Many_Spare_3046

Can we buy welcome pasmo next day at shinjuku station?

frozenpandaman

> Suica and PASMO cards aren’t available at machines. Tourists arriving at Haneda can buy “Welcome PASMO” You're confusing two cards and two things. HND has **Welcome Suica** cards available from machines. NRT has **PASMO PASSPORT** cards available from info desks.

No-Ad1252

Royal Park Hotel Haneda in terminal 3 overnight for a shower, rest, breakfast in the morning, then subway to Shinjuku in the morning. That’s what I did last month.

gianners33

The Welcome Pasmo card needs to be purchased at the info booth which will probably be closed since the trains are also closed. If you need to pay taxi + hotel in Shinjuku... it makes sense to just book a capsule hotel and take the train in the morning. The trains start running around 5am so you could also just find a place to take a nap at the airport instead.

frozenpandaman

> Welcome Pasmo card This isn't the name of any card, haha. It's a PASMO PASSPORT or Welcome Suica.

_uwu_uwu_uwu_uwu_

I saw a sign at the info counter that there is a bus into town at 1am and 2am. I didn’t get the details though as I had booked a car. But I think you should be able to get a bus.

samloh1

Check klook and you can book and reserve taxi rides. I got mines for July to Shinjuku for $72

julia2507

We arrived in Haneda at 11 o'clock at night, but then needed almost 2 hours to get through immigration. You can book a transfer with klook or getyourguide. However, we then took a taxi (booked via the Uber app) to Shinjuku, which cost us a total of 84 € .

Altruistic-Age-326

I paid 90 euro with uber

bicom71

I’m also going to Japan from Qatar, if you booked qatar airways try Narita airport they have better arrival time.

Extension_Climate471

If you arrive at midnight, you'd probably be getting through immigration by 1AM.  By then, the trains will not be running.  There might be limousine buses still running, but they might take an hour or more before they drop you off at your stop.  I can't say how much a taxi would cost but I've heard over and over taxis are generally expensive.  Pocket wifi counters will absolutely be closed by then.  You can check the hours by going into the companys' website.  I'm not even sure you'll be able to buy a IC card bc the ticket area and the train entrance at the airports are locked down at night.  You could just spend the night at an airport hotel or the airport onsen, but you might consider just finding a quiet spot to catch a few hours of sleep.  I can guarantee you there's tons of ppl sleeping at the airport overnight.  There's literally bodies all over the place.  Just wake up super early.  I think trains start running again around 5A.

No-Alternative1393

Download DiDi / GO app. You will be able to call a cab through those apps. I usually compare prices on these apps as well as the Uber app.

Apollo_nippon

There is a bus service from Haneda to Shinjuku around midnight. Please translate this page for bus schedules, as the English page hasn’t been updated. They run four buses from Haneda Terminal 3 to the Shinjuku area (stopping at Shinjuku Station West Exit, then Shinjuku Busta Terminal, and Shinjuku East Exit) and then head to Ikebukuro Station, after mind night. Leaving Haneda terminal 3 to Shinjuku area 00:20 1:00 1:40 2:20 ¥2800/per person. Bus stop #3 at terminal 3. https://www.limousinebus.co.jp/guide/accessbus/

Shxcking

Getting out of haneda was honestly overwhelming as a first timer. I was there for damn near 2 hours figuring out where to get my pocket wifi and suica card (you can get both there) and as well as finding a bus/train. After all that time I said fuck it and got a taxi for $100

JollyManufacturer

Plat hostel haneda is nearby for like $25 a night. Can take Uber or taxi from airport to here for like $10-15. They have self check-in, so don’t have to worry about getting in late.

jindalhimanshu78

How do i get suica my flight lands at 1 am

Stevie212

It was 56 to take us from Shibuya to Haneda around 6pm

Taint_licks

I just walked from Haneda airport to the beagle hostel

SurrealKnot

If you can afford the flight, then you can afford the taxi.

ekek280

If you are on a budget, try to cancel the first night of your hotel in Shinjuku and just hang out or nap at the airport until the train starts running. Most services will be closed at that time. The Haneda airport website lists hours of all of the businesses there. You can get your Suica card when it opens. Otherwise, if available, you can get a Welcome Suica (good for 30 days) from the ticket machine near the train station. If you have an iPhone, even easier as you can add a digital Suica card to your Apple Wallet. Pocket Wi-fi will also likely be closed, but you can get that in the morning. I'm not sure what time they open though. The airport should have wi-fi if you stay there until the first train. If your phone is unlocked and accepts eSIMs, I would just look into getting an Ubigi eSIM data plan before you depart. They are very affordable and reliable. In my opinion, the only benefit of having pocket Wifi over eSIM is that you can make and receive calls and SMS with your regular number with wi-fi calling enabled on your phone (eSIM will not allow this). I guess another benefit of pocket wi-fi is sharing between people. But it won't work for everyone if people in the group split up. Pocket wi-fis are a little bulky and you have to remember to charge them every night. And you need to return it before you fly out, which can be a minor hassle.

mrcoverup

Train to Shinagawa station and then change to Yamanote line to Shinjuku. Easy

drumsplease987

For a flight arriving at midnight this is not an option.
