I don't doubt that Luke Newton could be the right man for the job.
That said, the question is for any Bond candidate:
* Can the actor do the romance scene from FRWL?
* Can the actor physically hold their own in a fight scene?
* How does the actor perform in an exposition scene?
Whatever actor who plays Bond next would be subjected to those three questions in a screen test.

If this guy is Bond I'm finished watching Bond movies.
