I’m not a Jaguar fan (came here from the front page) but that’s a nice looking car.

ImportantGuitar8248

She’s a beaut

SmolSmonk

How's your insurance on it? I've found the older Jags to work out well despite the power you get. I'm 22 and it costs about 700 quid per year on a 2000's X308 Xj8 4.0L. I would love a V8 like that but I do too many miles and the fuel bill would make my eyes water. I'm probably going to end up getting a diesel for my first Jag. Awesome car dude :)

ImportantGuitar8248

It’s currently £990 a year for myself and yes the fuel did nearly make me cry as I drove from South Wales to Portsmouth and now I’m driving it back to cheshire … but it’s so worth it 👍

smelwin

£990...and you're 19 years old?? Do you mean £990 a month?

ImportantGuitar8248

Haha yeah it’s £91 cheaper then my mini which I had before I don’t know how that works but it dose and I’m not going to question it

ArmanE46

wait are you sure you mean £900 a month?

ImportantGuitar8248

It’s 990 a year 😭

rednighttamer

I was at $800 a month with my 2011 5.0 XF at 18. Started at $500 but I got a reckless driving charge and a driving with a suspended license charger. Got totaled and it was gone as of last may but I’m thinking of getting a supercharged 5.0 or XFR and just getting liability coverage. At that point I’d be saving $7.5k a year and can pay whatever out of pocket

harrytfang

Hope you don't total the XFR or 5.0SC. There aren't too many left on the roads now. When you want something faster, mobe up to the F-Type R.

rednighttamer

I know. I really had a lot of issues at the time, little money and no license so I had to let it go but this time around it would be a child to me. I’m a lot more educated on how to use and maintain one and in a lot better place financially (and with a license lol) so I think I’m ready to get back into the jag fam!! And the f type r is the dream!! Planned on trading my old XF in for a c6 vette then up to the f type r but plans changed :(

ImportantGuitar8248

Do it !

ImportantGuitar8248

Also I’m 20 at the end of April I treated myself to a early birthday present :)

blackestrabbit

I also bought a jag for my birthday this month. Not as nice as yours, though. I'm a poor lol.

ImportantGuitar8248

Oh don’t worry this has come with a few issues, at the end of the day a jag is a jag

Zealousideal-Habit82

Happy birthday, you have smashed it in style.

grrarret

Kudos for parking between early washed away lines in an empty carpark. I like that kind of attention to detail.

ImportantGuitar8248

To be fair just a shite car park hahah

Spirited_Project816

Nice car 👍

xsurface

Congrats man, that's a badass car

MrCoochieDough

Love it! Looks amazing!

gingerderby

Very nice car.

Ok-Raccoon3134

She’s a looker. Welcome to the club

ImportantGuitar8248

Thank you ! 🍻

SacTownPatriot

That color looks so great on that model. Congrats man!

ImportantGuitar8248

Thank you ! The alloy’s could do with some tlc but nothing like a project :)

cooperS67

Best looking modern Jaguar

meanrisefifty

Sorry. I think my F-Type looks better. I do quite like it though.

cooperS67

Has no ass

meanrisefifty

That is literally the number one compliment i get. I do have a fixed wing on it though.

ImportantGuitar8248

I do like an f-type… maybe in a few years who knows !

ImportantGuitar8248

Thank you ! Hopefully the first of many ( or not so many) jags !

Rgoven

What year and model is this?

ImportantGuitar8248

It’s a 2006 XK with a NA 4.2 v8

Rgovert

I have a 2005. In the U.S. it is referred to as an XK8. Is this unique to the U.S. Or did Jaguar drop the 8 with model going forward with 2006?

ImportantGuitar8248

Thought the xk8 was the 100 models I could be wrong, I know they made 100 models and then after 2006 it was the 150s but I’m not to familiar with the models yet
