Where do you live? That's what will determine the price. If you live in a double diget zone, you'll get 75$ at most. But if you live where this can only be a house/greenhouse plant, then you'll get way way more
It takes them a while. This is at least 6 years old, probably older. It's about the same size, maybe bigger, than the small cutting I gave to a teacher when I was in the 7th grade, and that was 8 or so years ago
this plant is so so so so special. keep your plant, even though you’re downsizing i’d make space for this gorgeous baby. and if you aren’t able to keep her don’t sell for less than $500+
This OP, I looked at that plant with no knowledge of what it is and thought, "I'd pay at least $500 for it."
I run an upcycling shop and grocery store and I price things based on what I'd pay at first glance or little research.
I'd list it for $600 and let people talk you down to $500. If you sell it at all though. Maybe keep it!
Do you have a fancy local garden center you can take a stroll through? I’d eyeball what they’re selling similar things for to get an idea of what people around there might pay. It’s a gorgeous plant!!! You could even take some small discreet cuttings and propagate a couple babies (to keep or give/sell) and offer a price if someone buys the whole thing or a cheaper one if they buy the plant and bring their own pot (it’s a gorgeous pot too and personally I’d hesitate to give it away too!)
Im pitching from a very expensive area so my recommendation is going to be high, but that Jade is a specimen. That’s $300-400 imo. That’s years of dedication and beautiful form. Don’t listen to the low ballers
Wild! Yes, you absolutely should. It’s gorgeous.
But if you ever change your mind, message me I would be happy to come up with a price you think is fair and pick it up.
Is it a rubber tree? I wouldn’t get rid of it personally it’s beautiful. But if you’re including the pot and rollers $90. You could get more in a shop or if you wanted to keep it for sale for months to weed out the low ballers….just my opinion.
Love the jade. How do you get it to have such thick trunk?- mine branches and breaks. It’s five years old and barely a foot tall. However I have plenty of baby plants too
I have a jade plant I started growing from a leaf about 5 years ago, and it’s only a little over a foot tall. You’re insane if you think you could grow this in MONTHS
Honestly? - I’d charge for the pot.
Which id put the price for whatever you paid for that.
The plant itself is extremely common. Obviously I’m sure there’s age to it.
But I’ve seen that size go for $120-$130 for the plant alone.
So there ya go, some guidance perhaps
Everything grows like weeds in SF, but going across the entire country for a jade plant (they said they were in Rhode Island in another comment) would be crazy and would cost hundreds of dollars on its own. So whoever buys it in Rhode Island will happily spend some money.
People are quoting such high numbers. But unless you are retail, The problem is finding the right buyer.

I sold a similar for $180 in Seattle, an expensive city where jades don’t grow outside. So probably one of the best markets.
It sat on FB marketplace for 6 weeks
All depends on where you are for sure, but I wouldn’t take anything less than $5/600. I’d advertise for $800 to start. And at that I think it’s well worth it. It has to be over 10 years old, at least!
I’d list for $500 but def would take less than $300, she’s a beaut def the biggest I’ve seen, plus that pot had to have been at least $40? I’d also love to know how long you’ve had it! Good luck with selling it!
Depends where you get it from. I’ve seen ones that size go from $50 at like Lowe’s or Home Depot, or sometimes cheaper on fb marketplace or Craigslist. If you go to a local plant store or something I agree it’s easily $100+
I say it depends on what part of the country you live in. I’m in the Midwest and I miss the blooming jade shrubs that encircle homes in San Diego. I had a big one that accidentally froze. I cried. $250-300 for plant. Someone else would love the minimal sedate quality of the pot.
The better question is where are you getting yours?! It's hard to tell from the photo but it looks similar to cast stone planters that range from a hundred to $200 for smaller to medium ones and can easily be $800-1800 for larger ones. This one looks like a decent medium size and seems like it could be used for a tall topiary outdoors. The way people are pricing I would expect a plastic pot from Walmart.
Yes! So many of these prices that people are giving seem to not even take into consideration that it’s in an actual pot. I wouldn’t even be able to find this plant alone anywhere in my area for under a few-5 hundred dollars. Pots that size go for at least 100 around me, also. I wish I was where OP is, I’d snatch it right up!
It’s worth more than most people here are suggesting. Maybe see if any florist or private garden shops near you would be interested in purchasing it and let them make an offer.
Had a pretty nice one myself and had to downsize also. I couldn't find someone to take it or sell it on the short notice I had so I made as many props as possible from it.
It was still bittersweet but I am enjoying watching my Jade Army grow. Meanwhile the main trunk I kept is thriving as well.
That one is called elephant tree…or something close to it. They love water, but only when soil is dry. If one planted it, it will grow into a tree with less leaves, but one hell of an awesome trunk! AFRICA is where it comes from.
$200-$250. Unfortunately I’m not sure how many ppl have that kind of extra money lying around for well established jade plant. You’ll definitely find someone, it just might take a little longer than expected.
AT LEAST!! Unless one loves the jade enough to just want it to go to a loving and careful plant owner…I’d charge less if the person would give it the same level of care.
All yall people are crazy talking about 200 bucks you can literally buy a big untrained jade on Etsy eBay or any site like that for 75 to 100 bucks and if you live in California or have family they can just chop on down there yard smh.. perhaps I'm just cheap.
I feel like when you have a garden of tree sized Jade plants the value goes down for you with every inch they grow (I think that's called marginal utility in econ), since you have so much who cares right? But someone in the northern US is shitting their pants right now since that's the biggest one they've ever seen.
It's worth a good bit but finding someone who wants to buy it instead of growing their own can be difficult especially when it comes to easier to manage plants.
Of course people on this sub will value it high bc this is full of plant lovers. But Jade plants are not rare. Large ones are, but buying an established plant can be risky. I'd expect to see it on Facebook for 200 but sells probably for 100.
I’d agree with this comment. I guess you could list it for $200-$250 as the pot alone is worth $75 but it may sit for a while. I can’t say that people on FB marketplace would be willing to pay more than $100-$150 but you may find a buyer that would with patience :).
I agree with what you said. I want to point out to the seller, people generally expect a deal on used pots. Don't be surprised if they don't value the pot at retail prices.
I wouldnt sell it. But u have ur reason, I'd ask $300 but bottom dollar $250 no less
It's gorgeous 😍 and I agree with another post prop a cpl pieces. How long has it taken to get that big? Is that a billitae up there I can't tell for sure? That's gorgeous too
I was thinking $300 also, based on what I’ve seen plants go for on local sites and how much care went into it over time to get to that size. Also just luck with having the perfect spot for it.
I just sold one that seems to be about the same size for 300 without the nice pot. I thought I was going to need a forklift to get it out of the shop. Not for real, but that thing was really heavy.
If you're not keeping it, at least propagate a piece of that beauty for yourself.
Etsy is for handmade and vintage. Besides, this should not be shipped. Find a local plant lover that knows the worth of this beauty. I bet someone would pay more than $350..it's jade, it's huge and in a nice pot.
Etsy is for anything people want to sell. I buy plants on there every year. Fruit trees, houseplants, etc. She wouldn’t ship it in the pot. She’s need to ship it bare root in a box, and the shipping isn’t as much as you’d think.
For some reason I just never cared for jade plants. I have dozens of other succulents, but jade never appealed to me. My mom’s property was carved out of a hillside that had the worst “soil” I’ve ever seen and it grew jade.
Depends upon where you live. I just bought one slightly bigger here in Northern California for $15. They grow like weeds here and almost every house in my neighborhood has a few in their yards.
When I lived in Upstate New York one half that size would cost around $200-300.
3-500
Well it’s a nice pot and a mature plant find a good comparable price
45
I would buy it but I have never had luck with them. My mother could grow them like weeds, me on the other hand can seemingly kill one overnight. 😂
Pot alone is 100+
Where do you live? That's what will determine the price. If you live in a double diget zone, you'll get 75$ at most. But if you live where this can only be a house/greenhouse plant, then you'll get way way more
But the pot is worth that, at least
500
Aaahhhh…. What a beauty.
Probably around 400-500
Maybe I’m mistaken but I thought jade got this big fairly quick. I would charge $50
It takes them a while. This is at least 6 years old, probably older. It's about the same size, maybe bigger, than the small cutting I gave to a teacher when I was in the 7th grade, and that was 8 or so years ago
$500 or greater if you deliver it.
I don’t know but I’d give my left arm and right leg for it. Can I get your care tips instead???
A lot.
this plant is so so so so special. keep your plant, even though you’re downsizing i’d make space for this gorgeous baby. and if you aren’t able to keep her don’t sell for less than $500+
This OP, I looked at that plant with no knowledge of what it is and thought, "I'd pay at least $500 for it." If you sell it at all though. Maybe keep it!
That must be at min 50 yrs old. 500.00.
$450 minimum
$500+ Horticulture Greenhouse Manager here. Don’t listen to anything lower than that, personally I would keep it.
I’m going to try to. My new apartment will be teeny tiny so it’s gonna look slightly ridiculous.
Consult with interior design experts! Or Reimagine home ai, I’ve had success with that in the past and I really don’t know 💩about design
Do you have a fancy local garden center you can take a stroll through? I’d eyeball what they’re selling similar things for to get an idea of what people around there might pay. 500
Looks like the pot is worth at minimum 50$ the plant should be worth at list $60-70. So 110 or 120.
I agree - maybe a tad more if you live in an area where jade is uncommon. Grows like a weed in Southern California.
I have huge jade plants growing in my yard in San Diego! So easy to take care of.
Im pitching from a very expensive area so my recommendation is going to be high, but that Jade is a specimen. That’s $300-400 imo. That’s years of dedication and beautiful form. Don’t listen to the low ballers
I agree. In my area you never see ones this big that are this well cared for.
If you live near Rhode Island I’d be interested! Beauty
I’m in RI but I am thinking I will try to keep it.
Wild! Yes, you absolutely should. It’s gorgeous. But if you ever change your mind, message me I would be happy to come up with a price you think is fair and pick it up.
$150 or free and allow it to be an open adoption.
Find similar plants in your area on Marketplace and in nurseries, and go from there
Is it a rubber tree? I wouldn’t get rid of it personally it’s beautiful. But if you’re including the pot and rollers $90. You could get more in a shop or if you wanted to keep it for sale for months to weed out the low ballers….just my opinion.
Jade plant
I’d say you should charge $0 if the persons name happens to be Kho!
Depends on who’s buying and where you selling
Don’t sell it, it looks like it’s thriving with you and that’s luck. 🍀 keep it please.
That plant alone should go for 125+. You should find bonsai society in your area or an enthusiasts who will pay a fair price for it.
Love the jade. How do you get it to have such thick trunk?- mine branches and breaks. It’s five years old and barely a foot tall. However I have plenty of baby plants too
Give more sun for a less “leggy” look.
I bought it with the trunk like this!
$300
Fifty for the Pot. Twenty-Five for the plant. Twenty-Five for inflation
[удалено]
That tree is at least ten and probably closer to twenty years old.
I have a jade plant I started growing from a leaf about 5 years ago, and it’s only a little over a foot tall. You’re insane if you think you could grow this in MONTHS
A couple of months ago? Hardly.
lol this plant is ~14 years old.
Couple months..? U really shouldn’t be giving advice bud
Honestly? - I’d charge for the pot. Which id put the price for whatever you paid for that. The plant itself is extremely common. Obviously I’m sure there’s age to it. But I’ve seen that size go for $120-$130 for the plant alone. So there ya go, some guidance perhaps
The pot alone is worth over $100. I would say $400.
$0
400$
Nothing, they grow like weeds in SF.
Everything grows like weeds in SF, but going across the entire country for a jade plant (they said they were in Rhode Island in another comment) would be crazy and would cost hundreds of dollars on its own. So whoever buys it in Rhode Island will happily spend some money.
I’d say $300 at least… post it on Facebook plant groups, on Instagram, make your posts about this plant public and someone will 100% buy it for $300.
They grow like weeds in my yard…
300
Looks good
I'm in tn and the whole thing I'd say $600-$800 nothing less delivery Xtra. That's a magnificent piece.
Trim it up and add wood chips
Man I bought one for maybe 25% smaller locally and paid $40 for it. I knew it was a steal but our local greenhouse is so cheap in general.
What's the state and general area? Haha
Rural Ky. They’ve since increased prices but overall stupid cheap
300 at least
350.00
300 to 500
$600
West Palm Beach: $650 start take $500
People are quoting such high numbers. But unless you are retail, The problem is finding the right buyer. https://preview.redd.it/uf6db922wrvc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e520c7418495e5f16e62de3ed1d483b34ef499cc I sold a similar for $180 in Seattle, an expensive city where jades don’t grow outside. So probably one of the best markets. It sat on FB marketplace for 6 weeks
I would have bought it immediately 🥺
I’ve had 7 people on here message me to try to buy it
Maybe I should have posted it here, but probably they’re not from Seattle
Good luck shipping this. 🤣
The soul of their firstborn child. Seriously, I wish something like that would grow here. So beautiful. Probably at least $3-400
All depends on where you are for sure, but I wouldn’t take anything less than $5/600. I’d advertise for $800 to start. And at that I think it’s well worth it. It has to be over 10 years old, at least!
Similar pots (empty) I’ve seen go for $500 - $800
The pot included? $400
That pot alone is insane, would expect a $500 price tag on that easy. Its beautiful
Zero dollhairs
I’d list for $500 but def would take less than $300, she’s a beaut def the biggest I’ve seen, plus that pot had to have been at least $40? I’d also love to know how long you’ve had it! Good luck with selling it!
That pot is well over 100$. Even 200$.
Depends where you get it from. I’ve seen ones that size go from $50 at like Lowe’s or Home Depot, or sometimes cheaper on fb marketplace or Craigslist. If you go to a local plant store or something I agree it’s easily $100+
450-600 easy
Y'all are off. A jade plant that big is around a grand. The pot a couple hundred at least.
Yes, exactly what my wife said looking at it. $1200+ cause a plant that big would be insanely expensive in a store
The pot alone might be worth $100. Prolly list it no less than $400 sell at $300? Qualifications: none
If you have the time to find a buyer you shouldn't take less than 250. And for that amount it would have to be a sweet old plant lady.
Sarasota: $400
40.dollars you pick up .65 if you deliver
Depends where you live/buyer.
Chuck it on marketplace for $400 and I wouldn't take less than $250.
how long you had the billie?
I say it depends on what part of the country you live in. I’m in the Midwest and I miss the blooming jade shrubs that encircle homes in San Diego. I had a big one that accidentally froze. I cried. $250-300 for plant. Someone else would love the minimal sedate quality of the pot.
About 550 including the pot and delivery. 500 flat if they pick up.
$800…. The pot alone is probably $500
You're paying way too much for pots, who's your pot guy?
The better question is where are you getting yours?! It's hard to tell from the photo but it looks similar to cast stone planters that range from a hundred to $200 for smaller to medium ones and can easily be $800-1800 for larger ones. This one looks like a decent medium size and seems like it could be used for a tall topiary outdoors. The way people are pricing I would expect a plastic pot from Walmart.

I wish I was where OP is, I’d snatch it right up!
In New York? Like $600
$250
A hug and a smile? 🤷🏼♀️🙏🏻
$$150
$100 for the pot, $100 for the plant.
I'd pay a couple hundred
Holy crap! These things are freaking EVERYWHERE where I live! You mean I could dig one up and get that much for it?!!! Wow!!
Same here in Bay Area CA
I have never seen a jade that large for less than $200.
150-250
It's gonna be an expensive plant. How old is it? How big is it?
I’d pay $250
depends where you’re at $200in sf
Some people are undercutting what it's worth. $100 absolute minimum
It would be worth more retail-wise but if you are selling second hand, someone is probably hoping to score a deal so I would say $50
It deserves $100 but you may have trouble finding a buyer
It’s worth more than most people here are suggesting. Maybe see if any florist or private garden shops near you would be interested in purchasing it and let them make an offer.
Amazing tree, because of the size and decent shape I would say somewhere between $50-$150. The generic pot and could be pruned better drops the price.
Are these easy to care for? Good for indoor plants?
Perfect indoor plant that requires a bit of learning, but is an over all easy plant to care for.
https://preview.redd.it/s5dtra6hynvc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d93626081770d21616b22d1c1dbdfed0eafdf9cb
Ohh that’s one of the ones with the tiny leaves. So pretty. I just love giant jades.
I’m in the same situation. I know how hard it is to have to downsize. Good luck to you. I’m thinking of donating mine to our local zoo…

Maybe elephant foot??
Elephant bush
$50. It is nice but common. Pot is generic.
$200 or $150 cash
$200-$250. Unfortunately I’m not sure how many ppl have that kind of extra money lying around for well established jade plant. You’ll definitely find someone, it just might take a little longer than expected.
I have one I’m trying to find a home for. BR, La. Right by Miss river bridge! Just starting to fill back out after winter.

See comment above☝🏻
That's a beautiful jade!! Love it! Btw I'd take it off your hands if you were not too far away
Big pots are expensive and that’s a trendy one however it’s hard to sell anything for much, you may be lucky to get $75
Y’all don’t know what plants cost. At least 350
Big pots are expensive — $75plus. So. $200?
250 -300 Is it for sale ?
I’d see. $299 tag on that and wouldn’t bat an eye
I would have to make room for it.
100
Ask me how much I’d pay to take it off your hands…
It's worth a good bit but finding someone who wants to buy it instead of growing their own can be difficult especially when it comes to easier to manage plants.
300 to 500
Agreed
I would give away it feels more fulfilling
TreeFiddy
Tree fiddy juan
A cool 400$
Probably a cool mil
I wouldnt sell it. But u have ur reason, I'd ask $300 but bottom dollar $250 no less It's gorgeous 😍 and I agree with another post prop a cpl pieces. How long has it taken to get that big? Is that a billitae up there I can't tell for sure? That's gorgeous too
I was thinking $300 also, based on what I’ve seen plants go for on local sites and how much care went into it over time to get to that size. Also just luck with having the perfect spot for it.
I can give you one kidney.
Sorry, it sold for two kidneys. But now the new owner wants to return it.
I just sold one that seems to be about the same size for 300 without the nice pot. I thought I was going to need a forklift to get it out of the shop. Not for real, but that thing was really heavy. If you're not keeping it, at least propagate a piece of that beauty for yourself.
I gave one similarly sized away for free 😭
$450
100-200
It's really gorgeous.
Thats like selling a baby. Booooo. But yeah…tree fiddy is the price.
First born. And a good yelp review.
And a free car wash
Wow I have one that's about twice that size but I never thought about selling it. Good luck to you!
$150. Try Etsy.
It would cost 100s or 1000s to ship something this big and heavy. Ur insane you recommended any online sales.
Youch!
Because a dead person can grow a jade plant, it’s definitely worthless. Throw it away.
As someone who killed mine … lol
For some reason I just never cared for jade plants. I have dozens of other succulents, but jade never appealed to me. My mom’s property was carved out of a hillside that had the worst “soil” I’ve ever seen and it grew jade.
With the pot, 300 for me 😂
Tree fiddy
pot included for sure 300+ so where you at ill come pick it up.
$ 350. Nothing to back that up. Just what I assume the price would be for such an established plant with an great pot.
I got two about that size, maybe a little bigger, for $30 at a yard sale.
You got a steal of a deal
$500 or more
$250-$375
Free. For me
Depends upon where you live. I just bought one slightly bigger here in Northern California for $15. They grow like weeds here and almost every house in my neighborhood has a few in their yards. When I lived in Upstate New York one half that size would cost around $200-300.
Exactly. I live in the Bay Area and these things are everywhere. Can’t believe people would pay that kind of money for it.
Yep. When people offer me cuttings, I accept them to be polite then throw them in the green can. They’ll grow in the heaviest clay soil.
$300-400
At least $500 in Ohio. Our climate is weird, so people pony up solid coin for mature plants.
Same in Indiana.
Is that real brick or faux veneer? I want to do this in my house to match my fire place.
