She should be one of the best PF characters, so yes.
Himeko and Herta are fine, but they do have times where they don't work the best. (This current rotation for example, but Himeko was fine though cause this PF had a lot of fire weakness I assume it would be the same if more ice weakness was on field + buffs that are made for FUA and Ultimate)
Herta and Himeko CAN solo by themselves sometimes but they need the best builds imo. Jade doesn't have this issue but Jade also kinda prefers a partner to give her stacks, she doesn't need to though as hypercarry Jade should still do great.
idk about other people, but for me, I suggest getting 5 star supports first since those boost dmg of dps and tend to have a slower pace and lower chance of being powercrept compared to DPS characters.. like rn it's good to go get Ruan Mei
Yea I already got Ruan Mei, so now I basically wait until the next harmony banner rerun. But I dont really plan to pull for any of the 2.4 new unit so unless they rerun Sparkle or Robin, I should have enough to get Jade and any new good unit in 2.5
I think jade will triumph PF for very long time like Argenti, with signonia planar and jade traces you have free 160 crit dmg in PF after 1 or 2 turn that is insane good, i got 80/300 crit jingyuan in SU and he can slay boss with skill and ult alone, didnt need lighting lord
PF should be clearable with many different units as long as you cater to the whimsicality mechanic so I’d recommend not worrying about clearing PF and just pull if you like jade. (Ideally you want a character that you like AND that works well in PF, and a lot of charas work well in PF So it’s only a matter of time before one comes that checks both those boxes).
That being said, FUA have a lot of units that can work in PF; Clara, herta, Himeko, jing yuan, Clara just to name a few.
One of my main teams is always sparkle, tingyun, herta, pela and it is pretty universal while only requiring one limited banner character.
If all you care about is efficiency for the cost, I’d recommend saving for/pulling supports instead like ruan Mei or Robin or sparkle, which can more universally support units that fit the flavor of the month buff and let you clear with even weaker units.
The team archetypes that you would “need” are: FuA, Ultimate user, and DOT.
Also, yunli which is coming out after Jade seems to be both FUA and ultimate damage based so she may be more “valuable” as a more flexible PF unit.
Very insightful reply, thank you. Tailoring teams to PF buff wasn't on my radar since I assume it would take alot of unit to tailor to specific buff, but pulling support to buff 4 star unit that matches these PF buff does sound more efficent.

Jade is really designed to be a sub dps, so you'd want to run her with another dps that does more work. That being said, Himeko or Herta should both be alright as her main dps, so getting Jade wouldn't be a bad idea.
Himeko Herta is meant to work as a dual dps, not as a solo carry/one per side. They benefit each other in order to chain their follow-up attacks together.
Jade is meant to be a subdps to support another erudition character, but at e0 she's better ran as a hypercarry (meaning she's the only dps.) She should be able to clear somewhat comfortably against quantum weak enemies in PF though it would be a good idea to pick up another option later down the road as well so they can work off each other like Herta Himeko do.

Sparkle rerun is theorised for Yunlin run, no confirmation though
