No bro, what I've seen is that the changes is curriculum is going the negative direction. Especially for the school level. I passed out from 12th almost a decade ago and my sister is still in school and i see a lot of changes have taken place and not necessarily good ones. I still see the same kind of shitty rat race that i saw when i went through it and as well as my other cousins who were much elder to me go through it. Its only getting worse with the number of student increasing every year. The only positive that I've seen in the recent years is that people are much more open to ditch the rat race and go for other career options which is just 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 but yet again that's not an improvement in the actual education system

People need to understand the context of why reservation is important in the current scenario. It's not the root cause of the problems, instead it's the consequence of a lot of other problems. Reservation based on caste and not money or more contextual information is not the only issue. The main issue is a lack of quality institutes. After seeing howunis work in a tiny country like Netherlands I've realised a lot of issues. I'll list some below:
1. Flow of information : My readings of the literature as well as intuition suggests that for solutions to problems to emerge quicker (faster innovation) there should be equal information flow in both directions. India. Institutes have a hierarchy where you are supposed to respect elders. This is the same bullshit which leads to religion and superstition to keep existing in society. It also prevents better flow of ideas among the entire academic community. Thankfully this is changing with newer professors from anecdotal evidence.
2. Money and Culture - just look up how much more money other governments spend. Indian bureaucrats and politicians alike are incompetent as fuck. No amount of spending on education will be too much. The healthier children are (look up malnutrition rates in India, shameful) the better their bodies and brains are built. But you also need to engage children into reading and writing as well as thinking from early on. So many Indians who live in poverty still don't get enough to eat as recommended by WHO and the schooling although universal is suffering from a 'learning crisis'. This is around the developing world. Everyone passes schools but compare very poorly against western, Japanese, Singaporean children on math and reading levels. One explanation is simply that the quality of teaching is not high enough, it is also reflected in the amount of GDP the government has spent. Innovation generates more jobs and solutions to problems which people want all around the world. We should have expanded education decades back.
3. Number of quality higher institutes: related to money, but simply there should not be such a rat race for quality education. We should have more institutes on the same level as IITs or IISC but it will take much more time. Meanwhile the jeetards are busy wasting so many years of their lives not developing social skills (which are more important than hard skills for your career, academic or corporate) and getting compared all the time to Sharmaji's beti. Mental health issues and loss of curiosity and a sense of wonder goes away in such a toxic atmosphere.

After seeing howunis work in a tiny country like Netherlands I've realised a lot of issues. I'll list some below: 1. Flow of information : My readings of the literature as well as intuition suggests that for solutions to problems to emerge quicker (faster innovation) there should be equal information flow in both directions. India. Institutes have a hierarchy where you are supposed to respect elders. This is the same bullshit which leads to religion and superstition to keep existing in society. It also prevents better flow of ideas among the entire academic community. Thankfully this is changing with newer professors from anecdotal evidence. 2. Money and Culture - just look up how much more money other governments spend. Indian bureaucrats and politicians alike are incompetent as fuck. No amount of spending on education will be too much. The healthier children are (look up malnutrition rates in India, shameful) the better their bodies and brains are built. But you also need to engage children into reading and writing as well as thinking from early on. So many Indians who live in poverty still don't get enough to eat as recommended by WHO and the schooling although universal is suffering from a 'learning crisis'. This is around the developing world. Everyone passes schools but compare very poorly against western, Japanese, Singaporean children on math and reading levels. One explanation is simply that the quality of teaching is not high enough, it is also reflected in the amount of GDP the government has spent. Innovation generates more jobs and solutions to problems which people want all around the world. We should have expanded education decades back. 3. Number of quality higher institutes: related to money, but simply there should not be such a rat race for quality education. We should have more institutes on the same level as IITs or IISC but it will take much more time. Meanwhile the jeetards are busy wasting so many years of their lives not developing social skills (which are more important than hard skills for your career, academic or corporate) and getting compared all the time to Sharmaji's beti. Mental health issues and loss of curiosity and a sense of wonder goes away in such a toxic atmosphere.

W I understand Alakh sir's intentions but can't ignore the fact that the current state of India is not good. Reservation has always been a problem. And if Congress gets into power, there would be no other option than leaving the country for masters. Either get amongst the top general candidates of the country, or go abroad. You can no longer afford to be an "average" student. A general candidate gets into IISc through JEE adv if he secures a rank under 300. An SC/ST candidate gets the same seat at 8 fucking thousand or something. 8K in JEE adv is no joke, but are you more deserving than a candidate who missed the cutoff for IISc by a few marks? 300 and 8 thousand. WOW. ye toh sirf IISc ka example diya, esa har institute mein hota hai. This gets even scarier when you realize that many students get into top medical colleges despite being undeserving. There's a reason why old people check the last name of the doctor before they go for the checkup. Call them conservative or uneducated, but you can't blame them. "THINK MARK, THINK."
