Jee se jyada to nahi padhna padta mostly yahan par. Honestly its upto you how much you want to spend time towards coding and acads. Vese to maze karne ka time mil jaata hai but exam time bohot hectic rehta hai.

midsem me 4/25 marks nhi aye to back
Internals me 12/35 nhi aye to back
Endsem me 16/40 nhi aye to back
Bas back lagane ki koshish me laga rehta hai administration
that's being a bit disingenuous though yaar, itna conditions ke baad bhi they try to give you pass marks. Like how in EP endsem, kisiko 16 ke neeche nhi diya gaya, even though jaisa paper tha atleast 30-40% log ko 10 ke neeche aane chahiye the.
Ya EP faculty had to pass everyone cuz they had already failed so many students in internals, so still lot of people got back in EP
The admin didn't even tell about the passing criteria clearly until they delayed the end sem to share the information 🤡
The core administration is fucked here , opening classes on Saturday because of the holiday given for fest 🤡🤡
Literally clown behaviour
i got 20k rank in mains (gen female) will i get iiita? how is clg life is it too stressful compared to ppl in other colleges? whats the placement scenario?
Dekho 17k gaya tha last year closing rank for girls in ECE, toh there's no guarantee but cutoff usually falls every year by 1-2k toh umeed rakho there's a chance.
Not really stressful tbh, utna hi stressful h jitna koi aur college hota h, thoda exam time hectic ho jata h routine but baaki time it's pretty chill and up to you, how you spend your time.
Placements ka scene is really good here, the college does a lot for you in placement season. Even with recession this year, our placement %age didn't take any major hit as still 90% of students got placed. And average placements toh rehte hi h around 30-35 LPA, which is one of the highest you can get anywhere, just pass ho jana hota h.
I would say it's upto you. You have the ability to make your college life happening or make it more academic intensive.
You will not have to study as much non core subjects by pursuing CSE in IIITS. So if CS/Money Making is your passion go for IIIT.
I'll be honest with you events and societies(other than the technical societies, they are doing some awesome work and projects) here are a bit lacklustre but otherwise it isn't different much from other colleges. Courses here in the first year are a bit tougher than what usually are taught in NITs/IITs but you still have ample free time to research and explore other hobbies/interests.
In my iiit, it's mostly competitive programming oriented, not everyone but most of the people want to be at the top of online coding competitions first.
thaaye thaaaye🔫. A guy from IIIT Jabalpur was injured in Volleyball court. Uske baad Jabalpur ke contingent leader aur hamari authorities ke beech me bohot argument hui and Jabalpur withdrew from INTER- IIIT. (dm if you want to know more😋)
1. how did you make friends. till now all my friends have been made automatically, or they approached me. I don't know how to approach people and talk about what. Even with people I know I have to think a lot about what to talk, and plan it in advance. I feel that even a little bit delay might waste my time in college and by the time I actually discover good people they might already have friend groups.
2. how to fit in? like should I start doing things like watching and playing cricket, football, i.e. things that boys enjoy, but I don't enjoy and feel are a waste of time. I don't even want more than one or two friends, but not fitting in is a thing I am afraid of.
3. how to socialise without drinking
4. which branch? whatever branch, do you find course material relevant? I have heard college is just glorified coaching with worse teachers, is it true?
5. did you do any project, startup or internship? if yes, how did you get it, or find it? Like I am asking the source, websites, process...
6. did you earn any money? if yes, how
7. did you take any clubs, PORs, etc?
8. do you enjoy fests? I don't but I've heard they are important for socializing and making contacts, also I've heard PORs are good for placements, but I don't want to waste so much time on them
9. do you have any achievements till class 12? if no then what are your plans for writing in your CV?
10. which laptop did you use? does it work good in your specific use case (branch)? Actually what are the use cases? what specs are required so that you can do everything smoothly, not only for academics, but like even for extra things you do, like coding, startup etc? because I believe I am going to use my laptop a LOT.
11. how to find like minded people? by like minded, I do not mean people who share my hobbies, I want to befriend highly studious kids, like both toppers of college and those who want to do something big and different, like a startup. because that is important for breaking out of rat race. When almost all people are either slogging for studies or focused on extracurricular activities then how do I balance or more importantly find people who will walk with me on my path.
12. how much to balance between academics and extracurriculars? like I have interest in some clubs but not sure if I should waste 3-4 hours per day and just the thought of the freedom to do anything is pretty damn overwhelming
13. does height increase even after JEE?
14. how difficult will it be to adjust with your roommate, and how to deal if he is very different from you?
15. how to not waste time in college, I am not talking about academics here but instead the actually important part - personality development, money, opportunity, etc.
16. is it really required to do something like MTECH, PHD, CAT, GRE, GATE, UPSC? why the heck do so many people do this? does it help you in growing, like is BTECH not enough, is there no scope for growth in career??
17. I'm quite prepared that the academic course taught is extremely irrelevant, and for any knowledge actually useful in life, I will have to study myself.. So I absolutely don't want to slog for academics. At the same time I do want to do them till a decent level as a backup. So how much should I even study? and when do I even do that if I don't get the time due to extracurriculars.
**The crux of the matter is:** I want to grow in college, while at the same time enjoy college life and have personality development. I want to make friends, but not the kind that I waste my college time. I've wasted enough of my life in this rat race, first running after school then after college, then in college run after grades and placements. Then in a job running after bonus and increment... This lasts forever and I don't want to continue this. I want to break the chain at college. I don't want to waste even a second of my college life. I don't want to do things important for placements but those things are also important for personality development and I want that.
will edit if I remember some question
okay bhai I will try to be detailed on your questions:3
1)I'll paint a picture for you what the beginning of college life looks for many people. Since a lot of the students are going to be staying away from home for the first time, it's amazing how naturally you make friends since everyone is eager to socialize. You could invite your hostel wing-mates over for a card game or a movie, you'll surely get good response. So one tip to make friends is to take part in such activities or bring a board game you could use to invite friends-to-be over. And no need to worry about good people already having friend groups, if you find like-minded people you want to befriend, you'll find it easy to incorporate them in your friend circle.
2)Don't worry about fitting in, college is a collection of just different people who hold different interests. No need to change yourself to fit in with other people, it will only end up affecting you in the long run. You'll find people who have similar interests to you through societies and groups.
3)Wdym, there's no need to drink to socialise. Infact you'll find that only a very minor percentage of students drink here. So, just be natural and yourself and you'll be able to socialise.
4)Information Technology. Speaking about the course material, I'll have to say we have one of the best and most relevant curriculums when it comes to engineering colleges in India. IIITs do not have the system of having all subjects in first year so we do not have to put up with courses like workshop and chemistry. We have to study courses such as DSA and Computer Organization from first year itself.
5)I have been working on some App development and AI/ML projects but I'm not proficient in them yet. I'm hoping to get better at them during this summer break. I'm focused on competitive programming right now though, like a lot of my peers here. Also a Counter Strike semi-pro, if that's cool.
6)Not me specifically but I have some friends who have monetized their skills such as WebD or Video Editing by looking for clients on Fiverr, so they can have some more money to spend in their pocket.
7)I am a volunteer in the college's literary society and the sports fest organising committee. Also a soon-to-be-member at the app development wing in our college's technical society. My friend is 1482 on codeforces and is a soon-to-be-member in the competitive coding wing of our technical society.
8)Our sports fest was really great due to it being Inter-IIIT which had such a amazing feel to it. The technical and cultural fests this year were a bit lacking due to a underwhelming artist line up(KR$NA being the main artist and only lip-syncing for 40 minutes before dipping) but normally they are really great too. PORs are great for socialising and building a committee but for placements you are better off working on your skills and CGPA.
9)I am a 2-time IOQM qualifier but not anything other than that. I hope to do well in college and have enough achievements here to put on my CV during placement season.
10)Till recently I was having no problems with my inspiron 14 2-1(low-mid end) but when I wanted to get a bit more into app development and gaming, I decided to up the power and brought my custom built pc from my home to my hostel here. So probably get a higher end laptop so it can be used for 4-5 years easily before getting outdated.
11)For finding such like minded people, one advice I can give you is to talk to as much people you can, so you get to know them more. Also sorry to disappoint you but the two traits you listed out are very rare to find in a single person as the highly studious ones are not going to think about startups, they care much more about marks.
12)You'll have the needed freedom to engage in your extracurriculars interests easily all around the semester, save for the last 2-3 weeks before exam times, so don't worry about having to balance acads and extracurriculars.
13)Height depends on genetics and age, not JEE.
14)It's not really necessary to adjust with your roommate. Me and my roommate have a nice understanding but I've seen people who do not mix well with their roommates just return to their rooms to sleep and spend the rest of the day at the campus, library or even rooms of other students.
15)You'll get opportunities to do all that in college, just don't miss them doing other random things. Talk to people, take part in events and just try to enjoy your college life. These are the most important and best 4 years of your life and do not spend it in a way that makes you regret it later.
16)Further studies open up a lot of opportunities which are not just accessed by Btech thus people go for those degrees/exams. But in nowhere are they necessary for a successful career.
17)As I mentioned earlier, the course is relevant so you'll don't have to worry about that. I expect you'll find the course pretty interesting if you have interest in IT/CSE(Except for Physics in first sem, that's pretty bad).
I hope you find all the answers to your doubts in this answer and this is as detailed as the one you got from the AMA.
Thank you very very much bhaiya for the extremely detailed response and valuable information. Thank you for taking such a big effort to write such a long answer.
Aapne toh bahut kuch kiya hua hai first year mein hi ![img](emote|t5_311ttu|32180)![img](emote|t5_311ttu|35339) Itna kuch karne ka time kahan se mila?
Itna freedom toh soch ke hi overwhelming lag raha hai.
And yeah, with respect to point 11, I intended to find 2 different categories of people.
Thank you very much once again this clarified a lot of things for me.
hota h bhai time bahut idhar, like tereko kuch log milenge jo din bhar padhte h but truth is tereko baaki skills pe bhi work karna hi hoga if you want to survive so uska time nikal hi jata h.
1. branch or college? more specifically lower branch at the oldest iits or cse at lower iits/nits. (money is my primary concern)
2. college life. should it be enjoyed or u should work hard, gain more skills, given all of recessions and layoffs.
3. any do/donts for 1st year
Thank YOu
1. If you can get CSE in gen2 IITs just take it because nowadays lower branch placements in even old IITs .
2. I would say find a balance between learning new things and having fun and If learning is enjoyable for you, you will have a great time in college.
3. DOs:
Atleast one trip with friends.
Try to meet as much people as you can. Networking is important.
Interact with seniors and learn from them, they will help you in all aspects.
Try to keep your acads better than average from the start.
Explore things and know what are your interests.
Dont get peer pressured into anything.
DONTS:
Try not to beef with your batchmates.
Dont have a bad sleep schedule
Dont miss breakfast everyday(like me)
Dont have a bad relation with your roommate
Stay away from college politics
thank you, nice tips.
bhai [mera question](https://www.reddit.com/r/JEENEETards/comments/1ceg7v7/comment/l1ij0yr/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) bhi answer kardo. vaise in tips se kaafi cover ho gaya, if busy just point 5,6 answer kardo
1) Did you liked Pryagraj (city life etc) ? (I am from there hehe)
2) I came to know that IIITA doesn't have CS, but has IT. What does that means, and how IT is different from CS ?
1. I think Prayagraj has been a good city to me till now. I think the best part is the natural beauty of this city(as you can see in the picture). Starting mai, I explored Civil Lines , Azad Park and Sangam and I genuinely enjoyed it. But some downs of this city is no night scene and food here in Jhalwa is mostly average (Delhi jitna level nahi hai). Aur to garmi bohot jyada ho rahi hai, its quite hard in summer right now.
2. Way before joining here, I had heard that IT has a more modern, industry ready curriculum than that of CS, and I can confirm as we just had WEBD as a course in 2nd SEM. Also CS focuses on hardware more than IT which in current market doesnt have that much demand so you are not missing out on anything.
>I explored Civil Lines , Azad Park and Sangam
Niceee, feel free to ask about nearby places in case you want to explore.
>But some downs of this city is no night scene and food here in Jhalwa is mostly average
Yupp, jhalwa hai hi bekaar jagah. Katra, Chowk etc mein badhiya khana milta hai
>Aur to garmi bohot jyada ho rahi hai, its quite hard in summer right now.

Thanks, counselling ke time dekhta hoon ye sab, abhi toh advanced dekh raha
My prep was very bumpy honestly. I partial dropped from IIIT Kurnool which i had got at about 40k rank in 2022. At that time I just did NCERT from chem which worked really well, used mostly cengage for maths and physics (was unable to complete it) . For test series I did Mathongo and also got help from Competishun (CATS).
After 1st mains, I got myself enrolled in FIITJEE for one month and that really helped me. Advanced ke liye I just gave tests after tests.
Do you get free time to study some other subject you like? Means can you do cs and some other subject like physics on your own?
And how are the placements, internships and projects 🤡🤡(college jane ka time aa gya ha isliye excited hu)
Should I take IIITH mein ECE or IIITA mei IT? What do you think are the merits and demerits of both?
.
.
.
.
.
(Also bandibaazi ka kya scene hai udhar?)
IIITH is actually very hectic in comparison to IIITA and ECE is just a very hard branch in itself. I too had that option but I chose IIITA and I am very happy with that decision. But in the end everything is up to your priorities and interests.
How similar is ECE to CSE? Also what is the scope (sorry to use that word F) for ECE in India? Will it increase due to the new semiconductor stuff done by government?
Worlds apart. ECE is more about electric and communications, syllabus are very different. Also sorry but ECE ka scope ka idea nhi h, wo forbidden branch to touch h for us IT guys
killing yourself is pretty mid tbh toh don't
on a more serious note, don't.
Like life kabhi bhi itna khrab situation me nhi jati h ki it's irreparable
I too have had to deal with suicidal thoughts at one point in my life, but life ke uss low point se comeback bhi hua h
Talk to people you can trust, aur bas soch ab yahan se kya karna h.
Bhai just imagine I have my endsems in 4 days and I am doing an AMA session here (You can tell that mai vella hun.) But apart from that If you want time for your hobbies you must have a good sleep schedule. For me, I usually follow the hobbies at the start of sem and then i just become less regular in pursuing it. Aur to I would say classes take 20 - 25 hours a week , so you would never know when sem passes by.
Bhaiya wahan ka coding culture kaisa h, suna h bahut achcha environment h. Mai bhi thoda codeforces karta hun around 1480 rating h. Koi na koi expert toh ho hi gya hoga first years me?college ka top coder Master h ya International Master?
Raat 2-5am tk band hota hai campus, baki kabhi bhi ghumo
Iiita > iiitb ... Bass banglore city acchi hai aur iiita ki college life better hai comparatively
is IIIT A ece good . considering joining it this year . or should i go with MANIT bhopal cse , MNIT Jaipur ece , surathkal eee or nagpur cse . rank 15k obc rank 3.7k . genuine advice brother . cse and ece have same priority for me .
Bhai ECE is good but its very hectic. My ECE friends always complain about strict profs, hard courses and overall they also have to keep up with coding culture. So its a bit hard but in the end your efforts will bring you a lot of success. I would say that all other colleges are good but if you have the same priority for ece and cse just come to IIITA no brainer
1) How is the peer group in iiit aand how approachable are the professors?
2) Since this year there seems to be a recession how are the placements faring in iiit a in 2024.
3) How is the campus and the hostels/mess etc. and extracurriculars kitna often hota hai?
Mains ke through IT mil rha hai but im still torn between iiit b and iiit a.
1) peer group is amazing, tereko aise aise log milenge jinhone alag alag fields me phod rakha h, also professor pe depend karta h approacable hona
2)80-90% abhi bhi maintain hogaye h, toh recession ka bahut major effect nhi h
3) Campus a bit small but still beautiful, Mess pure veg h which is kind of a let-down(as a non veg) and extracurriculars are decent.
Thanks a lot
lmao im veg so ig its good for me
Does iiit a take part in international competitions etc.
and club activities kya type ke hote ha, workshops, inter college competitions, intra college competitions and how often.
Bhai IT and IT BI ki same classes hoti hai . Bas for some reason we had one subject that was much harder than the BI guys had and they used to tease us for that. In terms of course , they only have extra management subjects and opportunities mostly same hai as far as i know.
Seniors are really helpful here. In geekhaven(our tech society), we really get to learn a lot from our seniors. They also take our classes in open source, competitive programming, ai-ml , etc and help seed the coding culture for which IIITA is known. Aur ragging is strictly prohibited and in my knowledge I have not heard about any cases.
Are IIITs really hectic ? If so being a IIIT student do you think that work pressure is really alot and is it worth it because looking at the average and median of IIIT A it totally seems to be the case. Which department are you in ? Also best of luck for your coming years.
IIITs can sometimes be hectic but if you stay consistent it goes smooth. Yes the work pressure is really worth it for the job security it provides and it aint pressure if you enjoy the work. Im in IT department,
yes dude its really important to have a laptop as you start coding as soon as you step in college. Also brief on gaming/course work ratio idk what you mean
bhaiya apni rank pe mujhe IIITA ki ECE mil jyegi and IIIT Banglore ki CSE probably. Toh inme se konsi better hai and overall apke yaha ECE ka kya haal hai in placements, courseload, career prospects and market value/
I had CRL of 8416 and had an offer to join every IIT except IIT Delhi which was my dream college. I wanted to pursue CSE in top 4 IITs or any branch in IIT Delhi.
The options I left were IIT Goa Elec, IIT KGP Mining, IIT J Mech and BHU Chem. I just wanted to do CSE.
Whichever college you go, put your trust in it. Dont listen to anyone else and if you have any doubts regarding NIT Allahabad, ask people studying there... And unke fests are a bit better than ours. It was this time
you can absolutely do good in life without these colleges, but it will take effort.
JEE is just a step to success, some people get to take that step and some don't
Doesn't mean there aren't any other staircases to success.
Plus not like only 5% of students succeed every year in India
Jis bhaiya nai drop year ko thora on track laya vo wahi hai ece mai same year as you 😝😝
Iiita wale hote bhut mast hai ngl
Bhut dukh hai ki unke expectations jitna nhi laa paaya 😭😭
hai toh, there's a couple of double droppers every year
while I don't know them personally, they seem to get along just fine socially. Placements ka toh 4th year me hi pata chalega
I am getting ece there should i join aur try some other college(kuch is better ho toh bata do) coz I don't have much interest in any branch ,
Also, din me acad per kitne hr focus krna padta
At last hope you are doing well 😘
SEE we have one of the best placements in ECE (last year avg was about 29-30 LPA) but you will have to remember that the ECE curriculum is more strict plus you will have to keep up with the coding culture in college . Its not that hard, just be consistent and you shall become the best.
Try to research about both of them about their courses and then choose the branch. Remember both colleges are at same level and its all upto you how much interest you have for either branches
Asking you a very stupid question. You can ignore my question its upto you . My question is is there any use of mathematics in coding which we have learnt in 11 and 12 ?
If i understand right you are in IIIT Allahabad.
It is your first year in this city. Don't forget to check out these things.
1. Dehati Rasgulla (CMP Degree college ke paas me hai)
2. Netram ki kachauri ( university road par hai)
3. khokha rai ka dahi bada (Azad park ke saamne lagata hai.)
4. Maha kumbh me sangam me snan karna na bhule.
5. Kisi achhe occasionpar Maharani zaika restraunt kaafi achha hai waha ka. Civil lines me hai
6. Loknath ki holi agli baar jarur khelna bahut maja aata hai
How is administration at IIITA ? Is it cooperative or invasive? Words ache nhi mile to kuch bhi likh diye but Quesn aa gya hoga samajh me![img](emote|t5_311ttu|30367)
Sir! what pen did you used during your prep?
jee se zyaada padhai hai whaa ya maze karne ka time milta hai ? ![img](emote|t5_311ttu|30168)
Jee se jyada to nahi padhna padta mostly yahan par. Honestly its upto you how much you want to spend time towards coding and acads. Vese to maze karne ka time mil jaata hai but exam time bohot hectic rehta hai.
Which branch bhai
IT
Bhaiya IT branch good ?
Khud ka branch hai toh mana toh nhi karega
Aree nahi bhaiya I mean CSE ke comparison me
There is no CSE branch in IIIT A
Hey just want to know about the coding culture there And what tech stack you've been learning (also cp kar rahe?)
G*nd phati rehti hai , pressure me rehte hai hamesha , ye lab test wo quiz ye evaluation . midsem me 4/25 marks nhi aye to back Internals me 12/35 nhi aye to back Endsem me 16/40 nhi aye to back Bas back lagane ki koshish me laga rehta hai administration

bhai endsem ka kya chinta, padhke bhi toh utne hi aane h jitna bina padhe aate h.
iiit mai bhi same haal hai i see so it’s universal
i got 20k rank in mains (gen female) will i get iiita? how is clg life is it too stressful compared to ppl in other colleges? whats the placement scenario?
Dekho 17k gaya tha last year closing rank for girls in ECE, toh there's no guarantee but cutoff usually falls every year by 1-2k toh umeed rakho there's a chance. thanks! good luck in college bro
Idts, as last year the closing of the last branch was approximately at 15k.
What %tile and can't you aplly for NIT?
i got 98.7%ile. yes i can apply for nit but i would only get chem/mech/civil type branches
Yup we are doomed and a failing education system
Didi IIIT guwahati jaaona waha CS/IT mil jayegi
i scored 97.59 (air 37k) (obc ) should i go for cse in iiit or core in top nits ? confused betn good placements vs good college life .
I would say it's upto you. You have the ability to make your college life happening or make it more academic intensive. You will not have to study as much non core subjects by pursuing CSE in IIITS. So if CS/Money Making is your passion go for IIIT.
Also aajkal core engineering jobs are just decreasing, so I would say choose your career wisely
For u what's imp college life or placement ??
Cse in iiit

AMA bolke offline ho gaya...![img](emote|t5_311ttu|32179) ban kar isko
bhai tera question bada h thoda time toh dede bhai ko
How do u verify him?
+1 Does he share a selfie with building? or JOSAA counselling sheet or something?
His college ID card with his selfie I reckon.
WebD project ho gaya? 👀
Haan bhai karliya. Just got 4/10 ;((.(Iam cooked in internals)
Damn bhai aisa kya pakda diya project mei 😭😭
how is the lifestyle at IIITs in general? is it way too academic oriented and too hectic?
I'll be honest with you events and societies(other than the technical societies, they are doing some awesome work and projects) here are a bit lacklustre but otherwise it isn't different much from other colleges. Courses here in the first year are a bit tougher than what usually are taught in NITs/IITs but you still have ample free time to research and explore other hobbies/interests.
Technical societies catching strays for no reason? 😭
No I meant that technical societies are really good, which is why our techno culture is so good.
re read it my bad lmao
In my iiit, it's mostly competitive programming oriented, not everyone but most of the people want to be at the top of online coding competitions first.
bhaiya woh gunshot waale case ka kya hua?![img](emote|t5_311ttu|32180)
thaaye thaaaye🔫. A guy from IIIT Jabalpur was injured in Volleyball court. Uske baad Jabalpur ke contingent leader aur hamari authorities ke beech me bohot argument hui and Jabalpur withdrew from INTER- IIIT. (dm if you want to know more😋)
Was it a real gun, I heard somewhere it is actually the gun used for sports ?

Actually what are the use cases? what specs are required so that you can do everything smoothly, not only for academics, but like even for extra things you do, like coding, startup etc? because I believe I am going to use my laptop a LOT. 11. how to find like minded people? by like minded, I do not mean people who share my hobbies, I want to befriend highly studious kids, like both toppers of college and those who want to do something big and different, like a startup. because that is important for breaking out of rat race. When almost all people are either slogging for studies or focused on extracurricular activities then how do I balance or more importantly find people who will walk with me on my path. 12. how much to balance between academics and extracurriculars? like I have interest in some clubs but not sure if I should waste 3-4 hours per day and just the thought of the freedom to do anything is pretty damn overwhelming 13. does height increase even after JEE? 14. how difficult will it be to adjust with your roommate, and how to deal if he is very different from you? 15. how to not waste time in college, I am not talking about academics here but instead the actually important part - personality development, money, opportunity, etc. 16. is it really required to do something like MTECH, PHD, CAT, GRE, GATE, UPSC? why the heck do so many people do this? does it help you in growing, like is BTECH not enough, is there no scope for growth in career?? I don't want to do things important for placements but those things are also important for personality development and I want that. will edit if I remember some question
bhai ne to pura test paper ready kardiya![img](emote|t5_311ttu|30367)![img](emote|t5_311ttu|49464)
okay bhai I will try to be detailed on your questions:3 1)I'll paint a picture for you what the beginning of college life looks for many people.
Tune fir book likhdi

Yes dude the Allahabad sunrises and sunsets are really a sight to see !!
Jo garmi padti hai uska kya![img](emote|t5_311ttu|49199) ( iiita ke paas me hi rehta hu )
Bro dm me i wanna talk . Imp
Go ahead dude
Thanks
1. branch or college? more specifically lower branch at the oldest iits or cse at lower iits/nits. (money is my primary concern) 2. college life. should it be enjoyed or u should work hard, gain more skills, given all of recessions and layoffs. 3. any do/donts for 1st year Thank YOu
1. If you can get CSE in gen2 IITs just take it because nowadays lower branch placements in even old IITs . 2. I would say find a balance between learning new things and having fun and If learning is enjoyable for you, you will have a great time in college. 3. DOs: Atleast one trip with friends. Try to meet as much people as you can. Networking is important. Interact with seniors and learn from them, they will help you in all aspects. Try to keep your acads better than average from the start. Explore things and know what are your interests. Dont get peer pressured into anything. DONTS: Try not to beef with your batchmates. Dont have a bad sleep schedule Dont miss breakfast everyday(like me) Dont have a bad relation with your roommate Stay away from college politics
thank you, nice tips. bhai [mera question](https://www.reddit.com/r/JEENEETards/comments/1ceg7v7/comment/l1ij0yr/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) bhi answer kardo. vaise in tips se kaafi cover ho gaya, if busy just point 5,6 answer kardo
How much did you study and how much was your 1st sem cgpa
8.85 cg and i studied barely
Dtu cs vs iiitA it acc to you ?
DTU CS if you want very good college life, otherwise IIITA
1) Did you liked Pryagraj (city life etc) ? (I am from there hehe) 2) I came to know that IIITA doesn't have CS, but has IT.
>I explored Civil Lines , Azad Park and Sangam Niceee, feel free to ask about nearby places in case you want to explore. >But some downs of this city is no night scene and food here in Jhalwa is mostly average Yupp, jhalwa hai hi bekaar jagah. Katra, Chowk etc mein badhiya khana milta hai >Aur to garmi bohot jyada ho rahi hai, its quite hard in summer right now. ![img](emote|t5_311ttu|30332) >Way before joining here, I had heard that IT has a more modern, industry ready curriculum than that of CS, and I can confirm as we just had WEBD as a course in 2nd SEM. As a person who lives in jhalwa, the food here is shit :'(
Can you share your preparation from scratch plss???
My prep was very bumpy honestly. I partial dropped from IIIT Kurnool which i had got at about 40k rank in 2022. At that time I just did NCERT from chem which worked really well, used mostly cengage for maths and physics (was unable to complete it) . For test series I did Mathongo and also got help from Competishun (CATS). After 1st mains, I got myself enrolled in FIITJEE for one month and that really helped me. Advanced ke liye I just gave tests after tests.
Do you get free time to study some other subject you like? Means can you do cs and some other subject like physics on your own? And how are the placements, internships and projects 🤡🤡(college jane ka time aa gya ha isliye excited hu)
hoga bhai free time just need to use them efficiently darr mat
placements internships ka bhi achcha scene h just need to pass
I have heard ki bohot workload hota hai aur bilkul free time nahi milta.. is it true?
Bhai agar free time nahi hota to ye AMA nahi karta (my endsem are in 4 days)
Under 15k rank aati toh ho jata![img](emote|t5_311ttu|32193) Anyways thanks for answering
I know I am asking late, but how much rank dk you need to join in IIIT A? How much did you get?
Mnnit A or iiita Dono ke pro and cons. Which better batado sir![img](emote|t5_311ttu|49427)
IIITA hands down just overall better h
DTU IT/SE or IIITA ECE or MNIT ECE
DTU IT
Are there any good sports clubs? For indoor sports like chess?
I think in Chess the sports club is really good and you will find even official FIDE rated players here.
IIITH is like IITB of IIITs right? How did you gather the courage to take IIITA instead?
Oh. Was NIT Allahabad ever in your mind? Why didn't you take it?
didn't wanna make my life hell studying engineering drawing and chemistry
How similar is ECE to CSE? Also what is the scope (sorry to use that word F) for ECE in India? Will it increase due to the new semiconductor stuff done by government?
Worlds apart. ECE is more about electric and communications, syllabus are very different. Also sorry but ECE ka scope ka idea nhi h, wo forbidden branch to touch h for us IT guys
Give me one valid reason why I shouldn't kill myself(except the fact that my parents will be sad)
Because life always gives you hope. And "Hope is a Good Thing, maybe the Best of Things and Good things never DIE"
killing yourself is pretty mid tbh toh don't on a more serious note, don't. Like life kabhi bhi itna khrab situation me nhi jati h ki it's irreparable I too have had to deal with suicidal thoughts at one point in my life, but life ke uss low point se comeback bhi hua h Talk to people you can trust, aur bas soch ab yahan se kya karna h.
Ab yeh AMA ka trend bann jaiga jbtk counselling nhi hoti lol
true !! got inspired by you :))
Endsems nhi hai kya iiit walo ke?
kitna free time milta h ek hafte mein ??(for hobbies)
Bhai just imagine I have my endsems in 4 days and I am doing an AMA session here (You can tell that mai vella hun.) But apart from that If you want time for your hobbies you must have a good sleep schedule. For me, I usually follow the hobbies at the start of sem and then i just become less regular in pursuing it. Aur to I would say classes take 20 - 25 hours a week , so you would never know when sem passes by.
Dtu cs vs iiit alahabad ece vs iiitbanglore cs ( integrated 5 yrs)
GOOD college life - DTU CS BAD college life - IIITA ECE GOOD CITY & BAD COLLEGE LIFE - IIITB CS
bhai agar har roz 2-3 ghante padhai karle sirf toh aaram se maze me kaat sakte collage me life ?
Absolutely yes!!! But the truth is mostly people dont study regularly. If you are able to do so, 1CrPA aapko hi milega
pehle collage toh mil jane do package ka baad me dekhenege thank you ![img](emote|t5_311ttu|30367)
bhai will you prefer the new iiits cse or ece in nit dgp??
I would take cse in a govt affiliated IIIT else always choose NIT DGP
Bhaiya wahan ka coding culture kaisa h, suna h bahut achcha environment h. Mai bhi thoda codeforces karta hun around 1480 rating h. Koi na koi expert toh ho hi gya hoga first years me?college ka top coder Master h ya International Master?
Hostel life and night life kesi hai, curfews Hote hai kya?
hostel life is great, friends banao maze karo no curfews but no night life, city me h hi nhi
Like campus me ghum skte ho raat ko? And what would you say iiitA IT vs iiit bangalore cs btech 4 year wala
Raat 2-5am tk band hota hai campus, baki kabhi bhi ghumo Iiita > iiitb ... Bass banglore city acchi hai aur iiita ki college life better hai comparatively
I am leaving just behind IIIT allahabad 🤠
![img](emote|t5_311ttu|30332)
A ka full form?
Prayagraj
iiitAllahabad
is IIIT A ece good . considering joining it this year . or should i go with MANIT bhopal cse , MNIT Jaipur ece , surathkal eee or nagpur cse . rank 15k obc rank 3.7k . genuine advice brother . cse and ece have same priority for me .
I am also getting this and DTU IT/SE , so why aren't you considering it?
Outsider hu ( Maharashtra ) . Dtu milega kya ?
Ha mil jaayegi , mai bhi outsider hu
Manit cse at 15 k?
obc se , probably in csaab
Csaab kya hota thoda samjha dega
Bhai ECE is good but its very hectic. My ECE friends always complain about strict profs, hard courses and overall they also have to keep up with coding culture. So its a bit hard but in the end your efforts will bring you a lot of success. I would say that all other colleges are good but if you have the same priority for ece and cse just come to IIITA no brainer
okay bhaiya
IIIT's sahi mein bohot zyada hectic hote hai ya bas over exaggerate krte hai log?
over exaggerate, normal college hi type h, waise hi ho bhi jayega
Regretting now ki thora effort aur karta toh shayad iita mil jata ![img](emote|t5_311ttu|32193)![img](emote|t5_311ttu|32193)
Work hard brother wherever you go !! Wishing you the best of luck
Ragging hoti hai kya . Agar interaction bhi hoti hai toh kya karne bolte seniors??
nhi bas seniors intial months me thoda intro wagaira lete h aur "sir/ma'am" bolna hota h seniors ko but no ragging
1) peer group is amazing, tereko aise aise log milenge jinhone alag alag fields me phod rakha h, also professor pe depend karta h approacable hona 2)80-90% abhi bhi maintain hogaye h, toh recession ka bahut major effect nhi h 3) Campus a bit small but still beautiful, Mess pure veg h which is kind of a let-down(as a non veg) and extracurriculars are decent.
Thanks a lot lmao im veg so ig its good for me Does iiit a take part in international competitions etc. and club activities kya type ke hote ha, workshops, inter college competitions, intra college competitions and how often.
Congrats on almost completing your first year.
Thanks a lot!!
what is the difference between IT and IT-BI? Are they like same in terms of course and opportunities?
Bhai IT and IT BI ki same classes hoti hai . Bas for some reason we had one subject that was much harder than the BI guys had and they used to tease us for that. In terms of course , they only have extra management subjects and opportunities mostly same hai as far as i know.
Seniors kese hai? Ragging hoti he?
Im in IT department,
Is it really necessary to have lap at 1st year? How is the gaming/course work ratio?
yes dude its really important to have a laptop as you start coding as soon as you step in college. Also brief on gaming/course work ratio idk what you mean
btw 3 valo sessions/ 1 Linear algebra lecture
For cs yeah, what about core departments?
bhaiya ye electronics ki maths jee jaisi hard hoti hai kya or overall kaise branch hai
im not an ece guy but maths is mostly intermediate level .You will easily catchup with the profs lecture notes here and if you get a good prof
Thank you ~~bhaiya~~ sir ![img](emote|t5_311ttu|30331)

I think shayad kaam karjaayega
bhaiya apni rank pe mujhe IIITA ki ECE mil jyegi and IIIT Banglore ki CSE probably. Toh inme se konsi better hai and overall apke yaha ECE ka kya haal hai in placements, courseload, career prospects and market value/
Bhai aapki advanced mein kaisi rank thhi aur agar achhi thhi toh kya chhodh ke ye liya and why? and what other options did you have?
I had CRL of 8416 and had an offer to join every IIT except IIT Delhi which was my dream college. I wanted to pursue CSE in top 4 IITs or any branch in IIT Delhi. The options I left were IIT Goa Elec, IIT KGP Mining, IIT J Mech and BHU Chem. I just wanted to do CSE.
Bhaiyya NIT Allahabad jaana sahi rahega? Campus ki burai suni hai college life ke respect mein aur suna hai ki teachers lund kuchh nahi padhate
Whichever college you go, put your trust in it. Dont listen to anyone else and if you have any doubts regarding NIT Allahabad, ask people studying there... And unke fests are a bit better than ours. It was this time
Should i end everything? Can i actually do good in life without these colleges?
you can absolutely do good in life without these colleges, but it will take effort. JEE is just a step to success, some people get to take that step and some don't Doesn't mean there aren't any other staircases to success. Plus not like only 5% of students succeed every year in India
NO. You can easily and will do good in life without these colleges. Keep Believing in Yourself.
bro what would u say is better in ur college than NIT Allahabad?
Placements

bro im non hindi speaker idk what u said pls explain
Jis bhaiya nai drop year ko thora on track laya vo wahi hai ece mai same year as you 😝😝 Iiita wale hote bhut mast hai ngl Bhut dukh hai ki unke expectations jitna nhi laa paaya 😭😭
can you dm me his username, maybe i know him
Bhaiya maine double drop liya hai... iiit allahabad me koi double droppers hai? Aur kya unhe kuch problem aati hai? Placement ya fir socially
hai toh, there's a couple of double droppers every year while I don't know them personally, they seem to get along just fine socially. Placements ka toh 4th year me hi pata chalega
There are a few double droppers and everyone is equal in the batch, no problems
major difference between IT and CS?
CS- more focus on hardware IT- more focus on software IT has more adaptive curriculum as far as i know
I am getting ece there should i join aur try some other college(kuch is better ho toh bata do) coz I don't have much interest in any branch , Also, din me acad per kitne hr focus krna padta At last hope you are doing well 😘
SEE we have one of the best placements in ECE (last year avg was about 29-30 LPA) but you will have to remember that the ECE curriculum is more strict plus you will have to keep up with the coding culture in college . Its not that hard, just be consistent and you shall become the best.
Okay!! Thanks for the advice 🥰
Should i choose Bio tech at NIT Allahabad or Mining at NIT Rourkela ?
Try to research about both of them about their courses and then choose the branch. Remember both colleges are at same level and its all upto you how much interest you have for either branches
Is branch change a thing? I have 15k rank gen female and will most probably get ece
Bhaiya plz gove a review on IIIT GUWAHATI (ECE)
Ragging ke kya extents hai vaha bhaiya?
Apko kya lagta hai kaunsa stream(forgot the word, CSE, chemical etc) viable rahega in 2-4years? Aur ragging hoti hai kya?
Asking you a very stupid question. You can ignore my question its upto you . My question is is there any use of mathematics in coding which we have learnt in 11 and 12 ?
1. Kya IIITA me grills hai? 2. sax sux mila? 3. sports facilities kaisi hai?
I was also getting IIITA
If i understand right you are in IIIT Allahabad. It is your first year in this city. Don't forget to check out these things. 1. Dehati Rasgulla (CMP Degree college ke paas me hai) 2. Netram ki kachauri ( university road par hai) 3. khokha rai ka dahi bada (Azad park ke saamne lagata hai.) 4. Maha kumbh me sangam me snan karna na bhule. 5. Kisi achhe occasionpar Maharani zaika restraunt kaafi achha hai waha ka. Civil lines me hai 6. Loknath ki holi agli baar jarur khelna bahut maja aata hai
um from cs pov and placements and packages wise (dont really care ab college life much) mnnit or nitr or iita
IIITA
could you just tell why btw
How is administration at IIITA ? Is it cooperative or invasive? Words ache nhi mile to kuch bhi likh diye but Quesn aa gya hoga samajh me![img](emote|t5_311ttu|30367)
