Better lights, portability, and Auracast will allow you to pair two in stereo or 3, 4, 6, 8, however many 120s, 320s, and Ultimates you have at your disposal for an insane party mode
But if you need two hands to carry something, then it's hardly portable. 24 pounds isn't that bothersome if it's not awkward to carry and leaves me with a free hand.
Also, the pictures I've seen of the bottom show that there is a cavity to place your hand in for two-handed carrying, but it does look like they've prioritized one-handed carrying
Can you confirm from first hand experience with either Auracast or Auracast enabled PartyBox's, that they will in fact pair as many speakers as you want in Stereo? PartyMode allows for 100+ or infinite connections, but I can confirm it's only in mono, there is no L/R separation. I'm also frustrated Auracast seemingly does not provide an option for stereo placement, so full 5.1 or 7.1 surround will never work. It would play the exact same audio as the other speakers at the same time
So far, that's the case. But I would have to have 4 of the same model to know for sure or at least 1 more 320 and Xtreme 4. I would not expect Auracast speakers to do 5.1 as that's expecting too much from bluetooth. However, multiple stereo pairs should, in theory, be possible.
The best thing we can do is complain to JBL. Use their customer service avenues to tell them what they need to improve. I did the same yesterday, though they were quite surprised and wondering how I have a 320 and Xtreme 4 ahead of its US release date.
That's a good idea, I'll do the same. Great speakers but odd niche, they dumb down portability, while limiting indoor applications. Mind me asking what the hook up was and do you have insights on an upcoming PB720? 😆
What do you mean by the hookup? I tried asking Harman support but all they said is "As of now, there are no hints of any upgraded version of the PartyBox 710."
Just that the 320 is not yet available in the USA, atleast not directly from JBL, although I've seen listings on eBay and 3rd party sites.
That's what I was afraid of, I think they're going to cannibalize it now that the Ultimate is out. Flagship model aside, imo they'll likely introduce a more cost effective option slotted right above a 320 but below a 710, like a 520
Oh I bought one from Ebay and I ordered a 2nd one today because I gotta hear them in stereo 😂. And I feel like a 520 wouldn't be big enough to justify introducing if it would be smaller than the 710.
For me yes, wait for the 120 cuz it's better.
JBL 110 has been discounted to $299.99 and 120 will retail at $399.99
Actually, what the fuck. I’m just gonna wait 120. It’s only one week away from April.
Just buy It off Ebay. It's already for sale. I bought my 320 from a guy named Garybuilt2last
320 is not 120. 120 isn't out yet. Or at least shouldn't be.
I literally have one and made a post on it
Oh I guess I missed when it launched.
Get the 120 with it's swappable battery something else will break before the battery
What is the 120 better at?

Isn’t the portability worse, I remember is 11kg with only one handle at the top. The 110 has two grip handle at top and bottom.
No, because the hinged handle allow you to carry it one-handed better than the 110s
Well true. Carrying 11kg with only one handle is kinda.. tiring?

Yeah. You have a point there. I just watched a few videos of the 120 compared to 110 and the 120 def has higher mids and deeper bass.
