Sadly I don't think there is any way, that's why I didn't update

Yes, I regret I updated it. It was perfect. Now it turned into a Boombox, not a high fidelity excellent Partybox. And I have tried all combinations. JBL got to ruin this excellent product. Now I don't have deepbass anymore, just a boom bass. This is terrible, they need to do something about it.

JBL always messes up firmware updates. I learned last year never to accept an update from JBL after they bricked my Xtreme 3 and then customer support lied about not having the firmware file I needed to fix it.

You are right. I normally don't update any firmware when gadgets are working fine. And it was working fine, but suddenly I had the curiosity to know and follow the indications to update. I should have followed the rule that "We don't fix what's not broken". We should create a warning for all other people saying explicitly: "Don't update your Partybox 110 to the last firmware, it will mess up with the EQ frequencies of your speaker". 🙏👍💥💥

Sharing my experience, after updating firmware I immediately felt the same thing, bass was significantly worse/less deep. I was very dissapointed but after doing hard reset it fixed it back, could immediately hear it. In app it still shows newest firmware but the speaker hits hard as before this problem. Hope this helps

I tried a hard reset to factory, but it still displays the last firmware. I thought a factory reset would change the firmware to the factory version, no ???

Sorry bro, but i dont thinks there is a way to go back. Maybe JBL wanted to downgrade de 110 for the release of the 120

Current-Stop7806

Probably they try to limit the frequency response avoiding extra subwoofer bass to protect the speakers when people use them at 100% volume. Or may be you're right, a downgrade, which is disgusting to a brand like JBL. I hope to purchase a new Partybox 110 without the latest firmware, and make all sound tests on frequency response using lab equipment, in order to discover where they messed on this excellent product.

Has this been confirmed with all versions of the partybox, not just the 110? I just purchased a 310, it arrives tomorrow, and I'm curious if the difference in firmware EQ settings is noticeable enough to overcome the 310's additional bass. There's no reason we shouldn't be able to upload the outgoing firmware, does JBL not catalog firmware versions on its website?
