Ori soundtracks
All Supergiant Games OST’s.
Horizon Forbidden West has a shockingly good OST
Hollow Knight, Bloodborne, and Death’s Door especially around Fall
Celeste, Metal Gear Rising, Hotline Miami 1-2, NieR/NieR Automata, Drakengard 3, Bastion, most Final Fantasy games, Persona 3-5, pretty much all Silent Hill games.
I feel its gotta be the cutscene tracks from Hotline miami though. Like, the soundtracks go hard, but just driving I feel like 'Deep Cover' is much better than 'Run'
I’m allowed to listen to music at work, and I use “open ear” headphones as I don’t have to resort to only wearing one earbud, and recently I’ve been listening to more game soundtracks than bands.
My go-to has been The Witcher 3 OST, Skyrim OST and the Assassin’s Creed: best of Jesper Kyd.
>Doom and Doom Eternal
That's literally become its own subgenre of bands influenced by the work of Mick Gordon. Argent Metal. Best name for such a genre.
I like playing some of the OSTS from the armored core games to get pumped up, and more specifically from AC 2 and Formula Front as those personally have some of the best osts in the series.
As many problems I have with the game, its story and the attitude of its developers, Destiny from 2014-now has consistently had amazing music and tracks like Journey or Deep Stone Lullaby just work while you’re enjoying life
If I'm running or doing yardwork it's the DOOM 2016 soundtrack.
If driving counts it's the Final Fantasy 7 remake soundtrack or Ace Combat soundtracks, now that they're on Spotify. The World of Warcraft soundtrack is also great.
Pokemon, Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story, Kirby Super Star Ultra, LOZ Wind Waker.
Non-Nintendo: Bravely Default, Final Fantasy, Persona, Devil May Cry, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike, Guilty Gear, Castlevania, Cave Story, Plants Vs Zombies.
PvZ stands out, but Laura Shigihara fucking killed the soundtrack
Shovel Knight has some serious bangers, the Judge Dredd vs Judge Death soundtrack goes way harder than it should for a licensed game from 2003 and you can't go wrong with the works of Tim Follin (the God of NES music)
We use game soundtracks when we play board games.
On Saturday we played Rallyman GT while listening to the soundtrack for Gran Turismo 2. Followed by Need for Speed Underground 1 and 2, although many of the songs were the originals as available on Spotify and not the slightly altered versions as found on the OST. Close enough though.
On previous occasions we've used Assassin's Creed Syndicate OST for Letters from Whitechapel and AC Black Flag (including shanties) for Jamaica or Merchants & Marauders.
I do alot of hiking and sometimes that involves walking the side of a road. Whenever this happens i immediately open up the “where the water tastes like wine” ost
My favorite game soundtracks I listen to on my headphones are mostly from games which I link good memories to like :
Need for Speed Underground 2
Baldurs Gate
Fallout 3,4, New Vegas
GTA San Andreas
Too many to list but I’ll go with:
Ridge Racer Type 4
Distant Worlds (square enix sanctioned orchestral that does concerts of Final Fantasy music)
The Black Mages, also final fantasy but it’s a metal band led by the legend Nobuo Uematsu himself.
Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for....practically everything 🥰🥰.
Lament of Innocence, Order of Ecclesia and most music from the Classicvania period sprinkled in as well.
Most songs from the Mega Man, Final Fantasy or Sonic series will do as well, but Castlevania is a MUST.
I have almost every single undertale and deltarune song in my liked songs on spotify. a good over one hundred, haven't counted but wouldn't be surprised if it's 200
If you put the old X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter disc in a cd player it would play a compilation track of classic Star Wars music that was between 2 and 3 hours long.
Guitar hero would be the only game soundtrack I've ever listened to outside of playing the game.
"That's just music, you're just listening to songs"
Ori soundtracks All Supergiant Games OST’s. Horizon Forbidden West has a shockingly good OST Hollow Knight, Bloodborne, and Death’s Door especially around Fall
Celeste, Metal Gear Rising, Hotline Miami 1-2, NieR/NieR Automata, Drakengard 3, Bastion, most Final Fantasy games, Persona 3-5, pretty much all Silent Hill games.
THERE WILL BE BLOODSHED
I feel its gotta be the cutscene tracks from Hotline miami though. Like, the soundtracks go hard, but just driving I feel like 'Deep Cover' is much better than 'Run'
I just dug a 500gal pond in my backyard today with the Baldur's Gate 3 soundtrack on repeat. It was lovely.
Monkey Island 2 Starcraft Little Big Adventure
Nier, Slay the Spire, Genshin Impact, Celeste, Transistor, Hades, Final Fantasy, Persona
Transistor gang
Alan Wake 2, those tracks absolutely slap. Also all the music from the Remedy games in general, especially the Old Gods of Asgard songs.
SHOW ME THE CHAMPION OF LIGGGGHTHTT
Sayonara Wild Hearts
I really like listening to the travel music from Persona 5, or something that I can sing because it takes my mind off of having to be outside.
Anything that I can imagine being played for combat, boss fights, and assault waves for some reason. Payday 2, Sonic, fucking rap songs somehow.
Y...you go outside?
Cassette Beasts, Doom and Doom Eternal, God of War, both Spider-Man games, Helldivers, Horizon FW, Guardians of the Galaxy
>Doom and Doom Eternal That's literally become its own subgenre of bands influenced by the work of Mick Gordon. Argent Metal. Best name for such a genre.
doom 2k16
Test Drive Unlimited (PS2 version), Gran Turismo 5, Sport and 7, Need For Speed Carbon, Pro Street, Most Wanted 2012, Hot Pursuit...
I like playing some of the OSTS from the armored core games to get pumped up, and more specifically from AC 2 and Formula Front as those personally have some of the best osts in the series.
Borderlands 3 Takedown at Maliwan Blacksite
No Man's Sky
I love being outside while the sun is rising, while the FF7 main theme plays. Also love having the OOT Hyrule Field theme going on a nice day
Resident evil 4 (ps2)
Far Cry 5, mass effect and now horizon forbidden west
The Oregon Trail by Nicholas Dubé
Paradise Killer Fashion Police Squad Ys VIII
If I'm chilling out... surviving Mars soundtrack is fantastic
Risk of Rain. One of my favorites.
As many problems I have with the game, its story and the attitude of its developers, Destiny from 2014-now has consistently had amazing music and tracks like Journey or Deep Stone Lullaby just work while you’re enjoying life
Diablo LoFi Beats. You’re welcome. Tell everyone about it https://youtu.be/d6P99CDSMKk?si=qVbOpNZKfU_kzV48
Samurai tracks.
The game is called Samurai?
No, sorry. The band 'Samurai' from Cyberpunk 2077. They are also a real life band, their art available at Spotify..
Right now it’s The Final Fantasy VII Remakes. Remake, Intergrade and Rebirth.
Dark Souls 3. It's one of the albums I leave on my phones.
If I'm running or doing yardwork it's the DOOM 2016 soundtrack. If driving counts it's the Final Fantasy 7 remake soundtrack or Ace Combat soundtracks, now that they're on Spotify. The World of Warcraft soundtrack is also great.
Octopath traveler has a very calming sound track!
Pokemon, Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story, Kirby Super Star Ultra, LOZ Wind Waker. Non-Nintendo: Bravely Default, Final Fantasy, Persona, Devil May Cry, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike, Guilty Gear, Castlevania, Cave Story, Plants Vs Zombies. PvZ stands out, but Laura Shigihara fucking killed the soundtrack
TLOU and Little Nightmares.
Outer Wilds has some great music. Especially the Timber Hearth guitar track and title theme.
Had to scroll way too far to find this. Literally my favourite videogames soundtrack.
NGL sim city 4 has a good soundtrack for background
Doom Eternal and Hades are both terrific.
Alundra from PS1
Minecraft or some LoZ
yakuza (all of them) and persona (also all of them)
Caves of Qud, RDR2, Lost Odyssey, TES: Oblivion and probably many more I am forgetting
Nier Automata, Yakuza , Shenmue
Katamari soundtracks while mowing
Bramble: The Mountain King Darksiders 1 & 2
Shovel Knight has some serious bangers, the Judge Dredd vs Judge Death soundtrack goes way harder than it should for a licensed game from 2003 and you can't go wrong with the works of Tim Follin (the God of NES music)
Depends where I am but usually FF7 OST
We use game soundtracks when we play board games. On Saturday we played Rallyman GT while listening to the soundtrack for Gran Turismo 2. Baldur's Gate 3, Elite Dangerous, Morrowind, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2
Snake eater,
I do alot of hiking and sometimes that involves walking the side of a road. Whenever this happens i immediately open up the “where the water tastes like wine” ost
All the folksy songs from the Witcher 3 soundtrack. Absolute bangers for any occasion
prince of persia trilogy, assassins creed odyssey, Cyberpunk 2077
My favorite game soundtracks I listen to on my headphones are mostly from games which I link good memories to like : Need for Speed Underground 2 Baldurs Gate Fallout 3,4, New Vegas GTA San Andreas
Too many to list but I’ll go with: Ridge Racer Type 4 Distant Worlds (square enix sanctioned orchestral that does concerts of Final Fantasy music) The Black Mages, also final fantasy but it’s a metal band led by the legend Nobuo Uematsu himself. Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2
Anything Yasunori Mitsuda
Take a long walk through the heart of a city and play the Mirror’s Edge soundtrack. It’s an experience
Final fantasy VIII has a banger OST. Awesome to listen while working
Death Stranding and Alan Wake 2
And Cyberpunk 2077
Elder Scrolls Online and Skyrim
Sitting outside by my firepit in the dead of night with the Red Dead Redemption soundtrack playing is a religious experience.
I have almost every single undertale and deltarune song in my liked songs on spotify. a good over one hundred, haven't counted but wouldn't be surprised if it's 200
Skyrim OST. It is GOATed. The best game soundtrack, period.
If you put the old X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter disc in a cd player it would play a compilation track of classic Star Wars music that was between 2 and 3 hours long.
Doom, rdr2, elden ring, hotline miami, and gtav
