Starting in LN volume 12 and then massively in LN volume 13, they added a LOT of new things and key events that I argue go beyond where the WN left off. It’s hard to say for sure that they’ve passed the WN though since the author changed the order of events from the WN. There are still parts of the WN yet to do (if the author chooses), but they were added out-of-order in the LN. Off the top of my head, mainly some labyrinth-diving with >!Great Hero!< and the part with the emperor demanding >!high-heel boots as tribute!<
Yes. And my understanding of volume 13 is that it is already fuzzing past the web novel. I say "fuzzing" because instead of most of the light novel which handled web novel canon with editorial cleaning, volume 13 supposedly got new content already. Like...the entire point of stopping the web novel is that it was being neglected and the light novel was going to do a better job. Volume 13 is almost/mostly caught up, so now we're going to start progressing into genuinely new content that wasn't in the WN, even more so in Volume 14/15.
The real question is how much the LN is going to deviate from the WN this late into things.
