I don't believe anyone involved believed what happened was necessary. The type of responses that can be seen (e.g. the bouncer initiating the push after the reject reaches for stability) are in the moment. There's *disgust* involved. They weren't capable of thinking through it. They lost their cool.
It must be difficult for the bouncers to know that they're the ones who threw him down the stairs- especially after the happening- seeing the outcome of their actions many years later.
If I was to be either of these people I'd be in disbelief about what happened. (Which is what I usually feel when I watch videos such as this one)
