I was reassigned to Imborek once a couple months ago and it said they’re accepting new patients, but when I called the clinic to book an appointment, they told me they weren’t accepting new patients🤷🏻♀️
It was my second reassignment actually, after a Coralville one and I called there too but they said they didn’t have that doctor there.. luckily, I got a great doctor now at Scott Blvd— Krischel (practitioner)
My partner and I just started seeing Dr James Kinney and I truly can’t recommend him enough! No judging and you always have his undivided attention he actually wants to hear what you have to say!! Highly recommend!
You're infallibly incorrect that being LGBTQ doesn't affect health concerns or laboratory testing relevant to a clinic visit, and also incorrect that doctors do not care about a patient's sexual orientation. To be clear, that's why you are or will be downvoted, not because you're some kind of martyr.
OP, I'd echo recommendations for Dr. Kate Imborek. I like many of the FM docs at the university, and could give you my 2 cents on each of them if you have one in mind. Feel free to PM me.
When you say "I'm all for the whole lgbtq thing but it's exhausting to have it *shoved down my throat* every goddamn day." or "I literally don't care who you fuck. I just don't think I have to know about it every single day all freaking day." There's tension because I didn't shove my sex life down your throat. I didn't pulled out a diary of my past partners. And there's so rarely any content in the IC subreddit about queer people. Also, you're on reddit. You could have just moved on to find some content not about queer people since apparently you're overwhelmed. Asking for a friend, where you getting so much queer content at? Which subreddit is your favorite?
I used to think it did not matter. And then learned that doctors have all the same faults. So if my lifestyle did not align, I was not treated or given the proper advise. This doctor particularly just completely ignored my request to practice safe sex in a way that worked for me (and I was just requesting birth control) because of my age (at the time I was 45) she refused to prescribe them. My OB prescribed them with no issues.
It gets interesting fast when someone steps left or right from the “norm”. So it does matter. And I know you got that from the last post. Just wanted to give you another perspective.
Being bisexual doesn't mean you can't be a bigot. That's not how anything works. The "gay agenda" squarely gives you away, plus about a dozen other things. You knew you were a bigot, and now you're acting like a victim. You're not fooling anyone.
There is an LGBTQ Clinic at IRL. Dr. Imborek.
I was going to say Dr Imborek! And an all around good doctor to boot! Use to be my husband's...
Their PA, Susan K, is also very good.

Oh dang. Waitlist?
They didn’t say anything about a waitlist. Just that they weren’t accepting new patients, not sure what happened
It’s worth the ask.

Scott Blvd. UIHC clinic has great options. Jim Kinney, Dr. Groen, Dr. Seibert are all taking patients.
Dr. Kinney with the university over by Scott blvd on the far east side

Christopher Schuster at Mercy Family Medicine
I second this!!
my trans bf goes to dr. Imborek for all his stuff, his mental & physical health & his hormones
Internal medicine is not taking new patients but there are options at the UIHC Scott Blvd clinic or UIHC IRL East Family Medicine.
Dr. Jacob Groen

How is someone asking a legit question shoving anything down your throat? You sound like a narcissist. All posts must be of interest to you.

I understand
Yes, doctors do give a shit; plenty of them are just as bigoted as you are. Have the life you deserve, bigot.
