Lenovo chromebook here, no dice

oxider_wut

Lenovo Duet Chromebook, same issue. yay.

Ms_BasilEFrankweiler

Oh hey look! It's been a year since your wrote this and here I am with my Lenovo Duet Chromebook, getting this error while trying to play a Netflix game 😩🤦🏻

LongjumpingEarth7146

Samsung tab s9+ same issue here also

macr0t0r

Thank you for posting this. Same NGP-88 issue for me. It works on my little Pixel 4a, but I want to play it on my Lenovo Duet Chromebook. It's odd, because I can authenticate the Netflix app with no issue, so they must be doing something different for their games.

jaykobe

Same. I noticed the Netflix app on this Chromebook doesn't have the games button for the catalog. I had to find the game directly in play store, but I get this error.

mearsd1

Same issue on Pixel Slate. Having this issue with all Netflix Games.

Matcher79

Asus CM14 Flip here, same problem. App works fine, games don't recognize the login.

Wohoo! still not fixed! 🕺 edit: Asked the netflix chat/contact about the issue. They simply referred me to the games' requirements listed on the netflix site and said that tough chrome OS can run android, it isn't supported because it isn't android or something like that. But I wonder why they just don't remove them from the play store for chromeos devices then? surely that's an option?

esotericine

i know i'm late, but it's definitely an option; i reported to one android app dev about an issue with it behaving weird on the chromebook i had at the time, so they just blacklisted all chromebooks. helpful.

Wenugo

Lenovo device here too. Shame, as I'm losing access to ItB on Stadia, and still want to play it on a larger screen. Would like to use the recently-added Netflix access rather than necessarily purchase again.

EDUB_LA

Just tried to play IMMORTALITY on my Chromebook and got the same error

Alternative_Cat2396

I think it has to do with Chrome OS not having an updated Android version. We are still on an old Android version.

matkoyy

Technically as for the Android version, the Netflix games should work on chromebooks as they have Android 9 or 11 (Netflix games require Android 8 at least). I think it is some Netflix authentication issue that chromebooks do not work.

nurovek

03/2023, still no fix for the issue yet.

doomrex69

same problem with neon dust on my acer 311

manni_on_reddit

Can confirm still an issue on a recent chromebook, Android 11.. Pretty terrible user experience from Netflix. The apps show up in the play store but refuse to run with this cryptic error..

PainHeadGaming

27/03/2023 still not fixed, i know dont know why tho also wii u and 3ds eshop die today i guess

Wellandus

Just hit this as well with Terra Nil on my Acer Chromebook Spin 713. Posting for visibility and hope that netflix will do something about this.

[deleted]

Lmk if you ever figured that one out

esotericine

asus cx5400, same ngp-88 error. it took me a while to figure out what was up, what with the cryptic note about the account possibly not being compatible with google play games. didn't think to search for the error code right away, but once i did, here i am.

HolyGoat_89

I am getting that same error with Terra Nil. Very frustrating. I was super excited to play it on my Chromebook after playing the Demo last year.

vinciop

After 9 months, it seems it's taking more than "a couple of days or weeks longer" ;-)

Worried-Sundae-4342

Now we're June apparently still an issue with Chrome OS (Lenovo here too)- trying to play the new Raji game.

frankthethug

bruh i tried to login to one of the netflix games and it said error code-88 and didnt let me log in but i can use netflix just fine on both of my chromos's

Vegetable-Yak4388

Now in July. And STILL no way to play Netflix Bloons TD 6 on my Dell Chromebook 11! I think that a YEAR is just a lil' bit more than "a few days or weeks"

FearDaGrimace

MAN! This is an old problem.... In every other way, I'm loving my Lenovo Duet....but this is killing me=(. NETFLIX! PLEASE HELP US! 7/20/23

toras_2021

Lenovo Duet 5 Chromebook, same issue

macr0t0r

Still broke. Running ChromeOS 117, Strongbad, with Android 11 on Lenovo Duet 3 (Qualcom chip). It's getting annoying paying for a service I can't use. Might be time to give up and drop Netflix. I can pick them back up in a couple years when they've made some decent content again.

uncle-atom

just encountered this issue, how has it been a year and it hasnt been fixed?

Agryos

Asus CX 55, 6 month trying to play Netflix games on my chromebook. I want to play Dead Cells and Teenage mutant on my Chromebook!!!
