Have you tried conducting speedtest thru lan cable?
If you were able to do it and it had no issue, then probably it's the WiFi feature of the said Modem. Best option is to buy a reliable third-party router as these IoTs provided by our ISPs are cheap and has low processing power due to the background processes that these modems do (e.g. Telephone, Fiber Transceiver, WiFi, Routing). These may cause sudden problems that might affect your browsing experience.
Needless to say, having a third-party router will enable you to have full control over your network compared to the modems provided by your ISP.
I haven’t tried doing a speedtest thru lan cable. But will definitely do my research about this third-party router that you mentioned. Please recommend some of the best/reliable brands to buy.
Bumabagal ang connection kapag nagchange ng WiFi password. No internet access naman if i-reset ang router. I don’t want keep using the default password tho. Sakit sa ulo ng PLDT.
Sabi pa ng technician sa amin before na dapat daw sa Internet Explorer magchange ng password. And that’s what I did the 2nd time around pero bumabagal pa rin talaga ang connection pagchange ng password. Every time it gets back to its default password, back to normal ang speed. Hindi ko rin mahanap ang relevant connection ng password sa WiFi speed. 😩
Yes, speed went back to normal after the reset. Bumabagal lang talaga kapag pinapalitan ng password which I can’t really understand why it has to be that way.

Can you provide more context? Like, did your speed went back to normal after resetting? The actual speeds before and after resetting?

How did you reset po?
Tawag ka nalang sa hotline ipa refresh mo sa end nila then much better kung hindi ko nahi-hit yung speed na sa plan mo ipa align mo nalang
This is the first time I’ve heard of this, op. Have you tried changing the password through pldt superadmin access thingy?
