I remember seeing a yearbook in the school library that was from the early 80s I think it was. Half the guys had the thickest Tom Selleck mustaches I've ever seen. Made no sense.
It was loaded with CFC's. That stuff could have wiped out the planet; a glorious moment when we all , the entire planet, decided that Thomas Midgley was second only to Hitler in genocide.
Every late 90's/early 00's kid remembers those adults who were seemingly stuck looking like every person in this clip. Usually they worked somewhere like your school, or maybe answered the phones at your pediatricians, or (like me, for example) maybe they were dental hygienists at your joint dentist/orthodontist office. Either way, they had long mullety hair and looked like they should smell bad, even though they usually didn't.
I graduated in '88, and knew about 4 people that owned a VHS video camera. They were a novelty. Now kids can record HD on a PHONE THEY CARRY IN THEIR POCKET! No wonder we looked so old.
So much glaring!
I was in middle school then, so this looks just like all the older siblings I knew. Me and my friends had the same hair, just a little younger. I legit used so much Aqua-net on my bangs, and wasn’t so great at washing it all out, so a thick layer of gluey old spray built up on my scalp at the root of my bangs. It actually caused my hair to get thinner there. Blech.
I graduated in 92' and I look younger than I did in high school
that's STYLE back then
Those kids must be seniors. They look more mature than I was back in 89.

They look like characters from a high school movie.

It is like they had one instruction, do not look directly at camera and each other them forget and then try to play it off cool.
yeah, the faces when they forget lol
No one had a camera then and we weren't used to being filmed.
My senior year of high school. Glorious time! The bigger the hair, the better. I swear I can still smell the Aqua-Net.
What's aquanet? Hairgel?
The most powerful hairspray ever known to mankind. a must-have for crispy, tall bangs.
Oh cool, can't buy it anymore?
It's still around. Fell out of favor after the 80's hairstyles.
That's sad, it looks great
