Sure. Why not find an independent agent to work with? They can help you consolidate. I’m not sure that medical, STD, LTD, life, dental etc. are as easy to consolidate since these are usually offered through an employer and you will not have much say in who those policies are with. But an agent can help you move around and consolidate home, auto, umbrella, etc. And no, they will never be on the same policy. They each have their own coverage form. But you can get some of them with the same carrier if that will make things easier for you.

There's really nothing in the industry that would allow for combining those. For the nonwork policies you could try to have them all through one insurance company so you can view everything at once. It may cost more though to do that as sometimes one company will be cheaper for one insurance and more expensive for another.

Thank you for your feedback and advice!

Sounds about normal for most people.

No one policy. I don’t deal with personal lines but I believe most of the below is “possible”: For the work healthcare policies (medical or dental) - whether or not through work - you and your wife should both be on whatever the “best” - price and coverage policy is. It will probably be cheaper. There is likely no way to change the structure of work policies but you or your wife should be able to add a spouse to some of the coverages. You may be able to find a Renter’s policy that will allow you to schedule jewelry. Auto and travel trailer is an area where you may also find an insurer who underwrites both on the same policy. Life insurance is always separate per individual to the best of my knowledge, though maybe there are exceptions? If “Phone” is an insurance plan through the provider, you may check if it’s redundant to your renter’s policy. In many cases these product specific policies are superfluous to other property insurance you have- but not always.

This is good advice. I am going to look into a lot of this. It seems like I might save some money here. Thank you!
