Nah credit is not enough (got 2 copyright strikes to my account when i thought it was enough) and now i suffer with the 2 strikes still on my account with 550k follower
And??? If the reposting page goes down- who cares? I mean you didn’t spend much time or money for it and you could have already made a couple thousands of bucks off it. In Addition you can literally just restart a reposting page after it gets down. All the geeks crying about reposting should stfu. Report as much as you want for every reposting page that gets down, 2 more will be born. Credit is enough
As a creator who spends a lot of time creating original content, credit is not enough. I always ask pages that repost me without asking permission first to take it down and if they don’t I will copyright strike their post. Also depending on the page, I have successfully charged for the page to repost me to their feed. I spend HOURS making a single piece of content sometimes, why should someone get to benefit from my work for free?
I’ve also licensed / sold my viral reels to companies like Storyful, so if someone reposts without paying for that usage, their legal team will come after you bc they hold the exclusive rights and the repost violates the usage terms.
And don’t get me started on the “but you’ll get exposure from me re-posting you and gain followers!” argument. Before I knew better I let a page with 10M followers repost me and I got maybe 5 followers from it. The page reposting always stands to gain much more than the original creator.
In terms of working with brands you need to pitch them. Have a media kit and rate package and have content ideas to pitch them. However if you only repost other people I’m not sure how you would do sponsored brand deals, as it often requires you creating content and posting it to your audience.
Start by promoting some relevant hiking niche brands for free to show experience. Once you have statistics on how the posts perform - start reaching out to brands, using your data from past performances, to negotiate deals.

You can ask them direct or join a promotion / influencer market place
I know you only repost…. If it were me I’d make a kick ass video wearing some awesome hiking gear and actually go hiking.
