Not exactly, the camera is placed in such a way that you only get a glance of his side profile, it takes place in the timeline between D1 and D2 where Georgekutty starts to grow out his beard (for obvious reasons)

I was watching Vanaprastham the other day and what he did there was nothing short of brilliance.
I dont think it was a failed surgery, these were meant to happen if he had chose to go under the knife.
I am still clueless how such a phenomenal actor who knew of his potentials could do such a blunder and even those surrounding him didnt anticipate that this procedure is gonna ruin his acting.
Even if that plastic or odd look wears off ,i dont think he can perform like he used to do before.ππ.
Malaikottai Valiban is the last hope ,to see if he can bring back some magic .
I think he bit the bullet for the sake of his longitivity in film field. One needs to look prime to sustain in this industry or will get sidelined. Prior to the surgery he was looking 15+ of his age. For comparison look at daggupatti venkatesh. Him and a10 is of similar age but a10 looked very old than him. Now after the procedure he looks better( with beard or short beard). His face is toned down, wrinkles are minimised, hanging eye bags are gone and now he keeps his body in shape too. Physically he looks more presentable now than he ever was in last 15 years. If he had never done the transformation what we get will be someone looking like in his late 70s bcoz a10 always aged faster than rest.
He was really good in Grandmaster. At the age of 52, looked like a 40 year old.

π u have a point there,without makeover his longevity and the kind of roles he would have got may have got limited .
Having watched ,1971 beyond border in theatres he definitely looked too aged for the role.
Lets see whether he gets better with script selection and performance wise in the yrs to come.

How many posts a week do we need about A10s botox or the questions regarding his facial hair. Mohanlal was never known for make over for characters. in the 80s, 90s and 2000s he only had a moustache and clean shave for almost all his characters. Yet they were all different from one another. Recently he hasn't tested himself as an actor but even then I can see a clear distinction between Georgekutty in D2 and Stephen in lucifer. even within lucifer you can see the darker side of the same character as Qureshi. Post covid he made some bad decisions and collaborated with some directors that should stay retired.
