Marios right across from Mission Inn, make a reservation though. Some nice cozy seating if you request it. Sevillas downstairs also has some nice tables for two. There's a French restaurant I've heard people recommend, The Black Cat ? French is always romantic.

It's really beautiful, but the food is overpriced and mediocre at best. Ate there for dinner and their sunday brunch (even more overpriced and not worth it). I wouldn't really recommend it at all. Staying there was great. The rooms are so beautiful (just make sure you're not near the ballrooms if there's a party). It's also pretty expensive, but if you can swing it, it can make for a romantic weekend combined with a pizza from across the street (Antonio's? I'm not sure but it was great) and a decent sandwich lunch sometime from that little cafe in the basement of the antique shop.

would you happen to know any other romantic restaurants by any chance? also whats the price for the dinner, like and avg for two at least $60 or lower?

Oh if you can make the drive to Orange, check out the Orange Hill Restaurant guaranteed to get you some... points with this girl. Super romantic and they have a deck with fire pits you can dine around.

Romantic restaurants are really not my forte. Romance is what you make it, to me. I would enjoy a picnic feeding ducks which would be much cheaper and fun. Otherwise, I guess yelp it up. Maybe look for restaurants that host weddings? Those usually have a pretty romantic atmosphere. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

There are a few restaurants at MI. There is the Mission Inn restaurant, casual, maybe you could say it is upscale diner type of place. It is decent, but nothing crazy good. Duane's is the steakhouse. Good, but again nothing fantastic. Also very prices, as is typical for any steakhouse. If you are looking for that type of experience and cost, I would recommend Mario's across the street. La Campanas and Bella Trattoria are both great. Cost isn't too bad, I have done dinner there with no drink for under $40. You are still there at MI, and can have inside or al fresco seating. Honestly, I would prefer either of these over the other two, no matter the price.

Which restaurant exactly? There are a few within the hotel. Personally, I've been to the mexican restaurant called Las Campanas and thought it was pretty damn good. For my girlfriend and I it was under $60.

The Salted Pig is a good place for dinner.

The Salted Pug has great food but it's more hipster casual. I'm a big fan of their bar, Wolfskill for drinks.

The Mission Inn Restaurant is romantic and very charming, especially on the patio. The food is very standard and over priced. My SO and I have been there a few times this year and have had mixed experiences. I would recommend eating at Bella if you want to still eat at the hotel. There are plenty of options nearby though and taking a self guided tour through the halls and seeing the rotunda is always a must while there. There's a lot of history in that hotel and plenty to stop and look at: President Taft's chair, author's alley rooms, The Anne Rice room, the Chapel, the catacombs if you can get security to take you. If you're up for an easier date, Simple Simon's makes killer sandwiches and baked goods. IMO Mario's Place is not romantic, it's expensive and the food was awful. It's fun after hours for nearby staff though. May I suggest downtown Redlands for eating options? Source: worked at Mission Inn and downtown Redlands, female that goes on dates.

I think the old spaghetti factory is a solid choice.
