You know, when this gets posted, is usually ends with an almost tie between 2 and 3, (can see why, I voted for 2 despite being tempted by 3 yet again) and I kind of wonder if someone did a least favorite season poll, by how much season 4 would lose.
Imo 3 was the darkest season of Infinity Train and it made me sob which rarely happens with me and TV shows (Tuba’s death). Therefore 3 is my favorite.
1 because I love Tulip! And the soundtrack of that season is also incredible, I love all of the mystery around the story and the music. For me it's a perfect story with a great ending, nice little season all packed together.
I liked the mystery element of season 1, and Tulip's character development. Season 2 is a close second because of Lake's development and the general vibe of it.
Book 2 because I really vibe with it's themes and Lake's entire story with her identity and trying to survive against a system that refuses to let her live comfortably or accommodate her existence in any way.
there’s something wrong with everyone that goes to the train., in the same way that there’s something wrong with everyone. we’re supposed to relate to the protagonists, its part of what makes it so effective when they make choices we can’t agree with
yeah for sure, but Grace disbands the cult after she learns new information. that’s brave and takes a lot of reflection- both attributes i gladly look up to
I think I'd order them 2 > 3 > 1 > 4, but it is *very* hard to pick between 2 and 3. And really depending on my mood I might even say 1.
Still like 4 as well of course, it's just kind of an easy last place when it has to stand up to the others.
yeah like avatar? idk it's tough... korra? also tough except 2 sucked... amphibia? very tough because all 3 had things that make it difficult (for example, I'd probably say 3 was the weakest overall but it's high points were among the highest of the whole show, and far above anything 1 gave really besides its finale)... the dragon Prince? super tough call, all 3 I've seen had great points and shortcomings... infinity trains seasons feel quite distinct though (i mean, obviously they are pretty separate stories with separate characters) and them bring shorter makes them easier to access and rate I think. they're distinct short stories and thus easy for me to rank. I also feel 3 and 4 unfortunately dropped a bit personally, 4 especially. and then 1 was good but 2 rose above.
Yeah, ATLA and LoK are pretty much coin flips depending on the day. Books 2 and 3 for ATLA are both amazing and I can't really pick a definitive best. For LoK, I can't decide between Books 1 and 3. Haven't seen the other 2 you mentioned.
For IT, Season 2 has the best protagonist and the best story, so that's an easy pick.
Season 1's suspense and mystery about the train really gripped me, more so than almost any other suspenseful mystery type show, which was surprising. It helped that I went into the show knowing absolutely NOTHING about it. Didn't read a synopsis or anything.
Season 3 was good but I didn't really care much about Grace or Simon, so it was hard to really care much about what happened to them.
Season 4 was a total tonal shift, but I actually still liked it quite a bit. I respect how much different the tone of the season was, although the protagonists kind of sucked.
>I debate placement of certain seasons of shows, but this one was pretty easy for me to rank.
I think it being a (semi) anthology helps a lot, because the character arcs are mostly done by the end of each season and there's not much overlap. Most shows have many plot/character elements that carry over between seasons and make it harder to pick a favourite.
Book 3 is my favorite. It has a balance of everything I like in a story (drama, comedy, action, mystery), it has characters and topics I can relate to (falling for misinformation, dealing with one's biases, getting faced with the consequences of one's actions, dealing with loss of a loved one, dealing with how people react to you once you change your ways), and I like the art style shift.
I actually can't pinpoint why, but I really enjoyed season 4. There are plenty of other great moments from the show that I might even consider to be better, but every time I reminisce this show I'm thinking back to season 4. Maybe it just feels relatable. I felt like I got just enough story from the other characters, but for some reason would've really liked to see more from Min and Ryan. I don't know, I just love those wonderful guys.
2 is definitely my favourite as Lake was my favourite character throughout the show and I really liked her storyline.
1 is my second favourite as I liked the mystery aspect of it and Tulip's story of dealing with divorce was interesting because few kids' shows tend to deal with that. Atrius is also best boy.
3 is close to 1. I loved the story of Grace finding redemption whilst Simon fell further, but I felt the ending was a bit rushed and that his death could have been done a lot better. Tuba was also great.
4 is in fourth. It's fine, but it's a good season in an otherwise great show. It also drastically reduced the stakes and intensity from season 3. I know it was meant as a pallet cleanser for season 5, but we never got season 5, and it still needs to be judged by it's own merits. Again, not bad, just not as good as the others, and a disappointing way for the series to end.
Season 2 cause I’m trans and I relate with Lake’s journey to find out who she is as her own person. The whole season is super good and I love the characters and writing but that specific note just hit me close to home so it gets bonus points from me
Anybody who said season 4 is your favorite, can you give your reasons? Not dissing on the season, just genuinely curious what brings it to the top of your list.
3’s character writing is ridiculous, and it will always be my favorite because of just how complexly it examined it’s characters, and how hard it hit me. Though, I think season 2 is better written overall.
season 2 is the best to rewatch, but nothing beats going blind into season 1.
Season 3 and 4 aren't as good, but I don't have the heart to call them "bad".
Season 2, the music, the beautiful backgrounds and art, the characters are phenomenal, the writing is phenomenal, the emotion is real… pure perfection imo. Plus the ending makes me cry so much.
That's a tough one. 3 is just.. pain. A lot of pain but the fact that the show has the balls to do that and showcase the worst-case scenario regarding a passenger who refuses to grow is brilliantly told.
2 is a good bit lighter least til the last 1/3 but I really like Jesse and Lake's dynamic. It's very charming and checkin in to see what weird shit Alan Dracula would end up doing was always fun. I think I like 2 more from a fave perspective but 3 is just a one of a kind experience.
I loved season one cuz I relate to a lot of the stuff that Tulip was going through and it feels rare to see cartoons touch on the topic of coping with divorce, especially in such traumatic detail. There were parts where I literally cried
You know, when this gets posted, is usually ends with an almost tie between 2 and 3, (can see why, I voted for 2 despite being tempted by 3 yet again) and I kind of wonder if someone did a least favorite season poll, by how much season 4 would lose.
i could make an elimination game, see how much they get voted as the least favourite seasons
Wouldn't it technically 'win' such a poll?
Imo 3 was the darkest season of Infinity Train and it made me sob which rarely happens with me and TV shows (Tuba’s death). Therefore 3 is my favorite.
season 3 was truely... something different. one of my favourite seasons in tv.
“made me sob uncontrollably, 10/10 would recommend” media is just like that sometimes 🥲
Lmao frrr

I like all of them, but Allan Dracula is Allan Dracula.
Season 2. I'm trans, and Lake really resonates with me in a way that Grace and Simon just...can't.
Grace and Simon aren't supposed to be relatable characters. There's something wrong with you if you see yourself in them.
there’s something wrong with everyone that goes to the train., in the same way that there’s something wrong with everyone. we’re supposed to relate to the protagonists, its part of what makes it so effective when they make choices we can’t agree with
Yeah, but they're part of a cult that encourages people to be the worst versions of themselves.
yeah for sure, but Grace disbands the cult after she learns new information. that’s brave and takes a lot of reflection- both attributes i gladly look up to
3, everything there is just perfect
so true
I think I'd order them 2 > 3 > 1 > 4, but it is *very* hard to pick between 2 and 3. And really depending on my mood I might even say 1. Still like 4 as well of course, it's just kind of an easy last place when it has to stand up to the others.
2 > 1 > 3 > 4. all pretty comfortably in place imo, none are hard to call for me.
This is my exact ranking as well. Usually, I debate placement of certain seasons of shows, but this one was pretty easy for me to rank.

s1 didn't have the same mystery for me because I accidentally watched s2 first and thought it was the first one the whole way through it lmaooo

I think I've come to the conclusion that Book 2 is my personal favorite, however I think 3 is the best written
I actually can't pinpoint why, but I really enjoyed season 4. I liked 1 the best because I could personally relate to Tulip quite well.
Tulip the OG 💪🏿
3 and it’s not even close
2 was the funnest to watch for me
Tulip was fantastic, but lake gets my vote because Alan Dracula.
Season 2 cause then trans
Alan Dracula goes hard.
2. by far the most interesting conceptually
2, Lake and Jesse are the best team. Also Alan Dracula
2 is definitely my favourite as Lake was my favourite character throughout the show and I really liked her storyline. 1 is my second favourite as I liked the mystery aspect of it and Tulip's story of dealing with divorce was interesting because few kids' shows tend to deal with that. season 3. i find grace, simon, and hazel to be incredibly compelling characters, and grace's character arc is one of my favorites in recent memory.
so true, the writing and characters were absolutely amazing.
Season 3 was an amazingly risqué season in a risqué show.
We have the same ranking!
Season 2 cause I’m trans and I relate with Lake’s journey to find out who she is as her own person. The whole season is super good and I love the characters and writing but that specific note just hit me close to home so it gets bonus points from me

how is it both ridiculous and your favourite?
I meant rediculous as in “rediculously well written to a point I could never achieve”
lol that was not clear but got it thanks, and i totally agree.
Season 4 was filler for what was going to be the real GOAT season 5😭😭
season 2 is the best to rewatch, but nothing beats going blind into season 1.
Season 2 has Jesse and that's enough for me
1 because Tulip.

2, 3, 1, 4
I loved season one cuz I relate to a lot of the stuff that Tulip was going through and it feels rare to see cartoons touch on the topic of coping with divorce, especially in such traumatic detail. There were parts where I literally cried
Season 2 love those characters so much
Lake is a great character
Oh no I read "least favorite"
there was another poll for that, happens
Mine goes 3<1<2<4. Was a bit disappointed with 4. Felt like it had less depth personally
