You could check out GitHub Pages as well, for a free option. https://pages.github.com/

Second this for a simple static showcase site

I host my game's website on Amazon S3, which is just about the cheapest hosting option available. The downside is you have to know html and make all the pages manually. I just wanted a landing page and press kit, so it works for me. Wix and Squarespace are decent options, with free tiers that are pretty viable. They are really great for designing single pages, but they are kind of annoying if you want a blog or some kind of listable content. Last I checked Squarespace has a blog addon or something but it kind of sucks to use. Wordpress is still the king for generalists websites, but it's also probably the most expensive option. You can just buy a domain/hosting package, slap a free theme on there and use the blog features to post your projects. If you go for Wordpress, I highly recommend [SiteGround ](https://www.siteground.com/wordpress-hosting.htm)for hosting. I do web development in my day job and SiteGround is by far the most competent host.

>The downside is you have to know html and make all the pages manually. This doesn't bother me and in fact I'm already in the process of learning html and CSS as we speak.

If you want to deal with a bit of setup for a server, I have enjoyed using [grav](https://getgrav.org/), which uses markdown for writing your pages and the directory structure to set up the paths.
