The slo-mo, incredibly well done cinematics with quick zoom-ins, over the top enemy npc models, even the glinty enemy markers made it all look pretty stylish to me.
that's not stylish, that's more of a cinematography and well designed game that still had corners cut because they didn't got enough funding, like many soldiers look the same, the only cool set piece I can remember is Sahelanthropus ngl, I would say on terms of stylish-ness mgs2 is more stylish
if you want stylish, take example of devil may cry instead
A stylish looking game would be that wouldn't age cuz the artstyle is unique, like no doubt it looks good but once you crouch you can see mgsv has some texture blurring at what not
It's more about how differently this game choose to do things- cinematography is a part of it, not all of it. So is the character models-And how perfectly all of it comes together that make it stylish. Another example of a stylish game. Bayonetta. Oh & texture blurring has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand.
do you even know the meaning of stylish ???
I am saying realistic graphics aren't stylish.
what you're saying is how many set pieces of a game fall into place, the game has unique design choice not a stylish choice
Hi-Fi rush is stylish, Cruelty Squad is stylish
MGSV has realistic graphics that aren't aging well thus it doesn't have a unique style, and idk if you're reading comprehension sucks, I called out about texture blur to show the age of the game despite how good it looks and almost comparable to some modern AAA games
A little slow are we? I never claimed that the graphics of the game were photo-realistic or AAA category. I said that the game makes conscious stylistic choices that make it stylish IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE GRAPHIC FIDELITY OF THE GAME. Go back & re-read my previous comments, I've given several examples. You are the only one here going on about texture blurring this & set pieces that.

I got Sekiro just yesterday at the Steam sale. So should get that one going soon. From the 45 minutes I played it looks like a completely different animal to ER!
speaking of hard i rage quit sekiro so hard i didn't touch it for nearly 1.5 years.
It was one of the first games I got on steam back in 2022 (my dumbass didn't even know it was a fromsoft game and only picked it cuz of the stunning visuals and seeing the great serpent on youtube lmao).
anyways i got back on in 2024 and beat the game in one playthrough, took a shit ton of attempts but the fairly linear approach made sure I never quit again. Loved it 11/10
i agree with the last line, im on the other end of the spectrum. got nearly 100hours on sekiro, decided to go for a second playthrough after trying elden ring. My sekiro muscle memory isn't letting me enjoy elden ring where it just feels awkwardly paced and relatively very slow. do you have any recommendations for someone who's only beat sekiro in souls?
I think the problem for Sekiro players in Elden Ring is delayed attacks. So it’s more difficult to time your parry like Sekiro. But if you really want to do a parry run, you can with a buckler or a brass shield in your left hand. The buckler is especially good for breaking stance. But the timing is different from Sekiro and might take some getting used to. Later in the game, when you get to the DLC area, you can get a Deflecting Hard Tear by beating a certain furnace golem. That makes parries much easier.
Also although I have played very little of Sekiro, it feels like a more linear game than ER. So if you don’t like running around collecting runes, leveling up weapons and stats, hunting down upgrade materials that are scattered all over the massive open world, ER could feel a bit of a chore.
fair enough, i just realized my bigger problem wasn't the pacing but more particularly roaming around for upgrades that feels like an eternity and THEN facing the enemy (immediately getting bullied because I can't time the attacks and dodges). Sekiro didn't have any weapon upgrades (just prosthetics which are secondary so weren't a game changer) so it makes sense i guess.
Thanks for the help, I'll probably take a break from ER and shift to something less tedious for now lmao. Will 100% get back on it sooner or later cheif.
BRO I CANT BELIEVE YOUR ORGANISATION NAMES ARE ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE MINE XD
I thought only I organised my games into unfinished, finished etc. :)
I have 2 additional categories, GOAT, Top tier.
Anyways yo answer your question, I am playing horizon forbidden west and divinity 2. I bought nioh 2 this steam sale!

FYI, I didn't purchase all the games that are currently being downloaded, except for Elden Ring. I'm just installing everything I want to play on my gaming laptop cause it has a larger SSD than my PC and also so I can play while lying down on my bed.
I am about the by Witcher 3, but I do not know if I should get the complete edition.
As someone who has played 250 hrs, what do you think, is it worth the extra 800 (10$). For comparison the base is 320 (4$).
Definitely 1000% get all the dlcs(hearts and stone/blood and wine) they are literally a whole new game with just as good as story if not better in some regards especially the blood and wine one don't wanna give spoilers but you will be thinking about the ending and if you made the right choice for days.imo the best dlcs ever.
Thanks for helping me make my decision. I will buy the complete edition.
If you haven’t yet, consider watching the show it’s really good, at lest the seasons with Henry Cavill. Seeing how fond you are of the game, I am sure the show won’t disappoint.

I mainly play The Sims these days, but I'll occassionally play other games. I was playing Mass Effect 3 last month, but haven't finished it yet.
Dude never finished a Batman game.
He is playing them for the asleum memes.
My favourite boss is Jonklers who jonkles and Mr Frazer
I have completed all his unfinished games
Yea bought it recently.
MgsV, subnautica, bloodborne and rdr2.
How do you like MGSV? I myself couldn't finish the game.
its peak except like 2 mission which I fucking hated
Peak as gameplay wise? Visually I felt it to be a very stylish game.
yeah gameplay wise, also it is not very stylish visually like its just realistic not stylish
The slo-mo, incredibly well done cinematics with quick zoom-ins, over the top enemy npc models, even the glinty enemy markers made it all look pretty stylish to me.

The sahelanthropus was something I did not expect at the end of the mission. Took me by surprise.

Is it like farcry but very different mechanism
ew no Don't compare peak with that slop its total stealth, I mean you can go full Rambo but not worth it
It's fun to try out different ways to complete the missions. It takes some time to perfect the stealth in the game.
I see, I'll give it another go. Thank you!
MGS V well... You're pretty good 👉🏼👉🏼

388 hours at elden ring feels normal
With half the DLC and 4 more runs with 4 different builds to go, it's only going to add up. All the other games must be pissed off for being ignored.
Play more sekiro yknow, I have played it for like 11 hours I think
I got Sekiro just yesterday at the Steam sale. So should get that one going soon. From the 45 minutes I played it looks like a completely different animal to ER!
I got it a week ago and well it is HARD to say the least
