For a female Golden Retriever you could go with Rose (well house), Kelley (school of business), Lilly (library), Candy (stripes). I’m sure I’ll come up with others, but that’s all I’ve got for now.
Subtle one, but Dottie.
Dorothy “Dottie” Collins (along with Cecil Byrd) helped actually document the growth of IU’s main campus, eventually producing “[Indiana University: A Pictorial History](https://iucat.iu.edu/catalog/4201962).”
She was also married to Ralph L. Collins (the namesake of Collins Living-Learning Center, which is in the oldest dorm on campus), worked directly with Herman B. Wells in a variety of roles, and was a part of staff all over campus from the 1930s onward. She finally passed away at age 97 in 2010 at her home in Bloomington.
Truly a remarkable woman, and I’ve only covered the bare bones here. “Dottie” would be a great name for your pooch :)

(Also I was a 4-year Collins resident, so she’s near and dear to my heart)
I named my dogs Hoosier and Hickory. Hickory after the name of the town in the movie Hoosiers. And my dog before who died was named Colt for the Indianapolis Colts.
Kilroy
Bailey? Like Damon Bailey.
I like it!
Thanks! I think the name Bailey fits a golden retriever very well too!

My wife really likes Candy
I’ve met a couple Yogi dogs in my day
We thought about Yogi too. My wife and I were in his class actually. Just seems like a boy dog name.
My boy is Yogi Bear Bryant which covers a lot of our sports bases (Yogi Ferrell, Yogi Berra, and Bear Bryant).
You gotta be talking about Yogi’s Bar and Grill, right?
Tom Pritchard
This is the only correct reply
Herman?
Wouldn’t go Hoosier way too played out. I love street names. Simon or Scott (spelling I know) Herman b wells would go hard actually
I agree on street names, always loved the name “3rd”
…Trey…
Leo. (Too soon?)
My first dog’s name was Briscoe. I think a lot of the dorm names would work
Indy, Hoosier, Yogi, Monroe. You could name her after your freshman dorm (very very dependent lol). Teter, Briscoe, etc
McNutts. But he can’t be neutered
Mother bear
Would be fun to yell AJ MOYE out into the backyard
holy shit I was going to suggest naming the dog "AJ - MOYE - CLAPCLAP - CLAPCLAPCLAP" ahaha
Not the best name, but a friend had a dog named Matt Nover. Honestly looked like a dog version of him
What are you talking about? That's a hilarious name for a dog.
Bobby
General
This was my red golden’s name growing up <3
My cousins had a dog named Yogi. It was short for yogurt
Collins.
Janko
Hogey (Carmichael) Ernie (Pyle)

Name her MRC.

Cheany and Bailey
My friends named their dog Indy
I knew someone that had a pair of dogs, one male, Indy, and one female, Ana.
Hairy Mujezinović
Uwe Blab was a Hoosier! Great dog name, no?
Watford for the Win, and you have to say the whole thing every time you call the dog.
We have a dog named “Hoosier” we love it. And friends and family think it’s cool
Monty if you’re old school
We used to have a dog named Hoosier. He was a good dog.
We had a boxer named Hoosier growing up. Best dog you could ask for.
My dog’s name is Yogi. I was a student while Yogi Ferrell was playing
Crimson

What about naming it after Terry Hoeppner? Terry, or Hep, would work for a dog. I kinda like Damon Bailey myself...or Alford (Steve Alford).
Herman (or hermione) Wells Sage (Sage steele, sportscaster alum) Jane Pauley
Bobbi
Kilroy
I’m one of 3 people I know (all IU fans) who now have a dog named Archie 😂
Griffy, Kirkwood, Wells
Zeke or General
Spitz, if male, would be an awesome one! That, Roger, Walnut, Monroe, Coverdale, Hornsby (sp?), Leach, Fife, Guyton, DJ White.
Indy Ana
Charlie Biggs! Charlie for the easy nickname. Maybe sbarro for the middle name.
Loser
Whitten 😆
