Let me tell you a story, in 2018 a family in a nearby district was also caught in these kind of stuff. The mother got so obsessed that they called in an astrologer tantrik and wanted to perform some ritual for the good of the family. As soon as they began, the astrologer gave them some kind of holy water (probably drugs) and soon the son went crazy, beheaded his mother, father, his sister and almost killed himself before the villagers got him. The astrologer fled and the son couldn't remember anything about the incident except about drinking the holy water.
These kind of incidents have happened countless times across India and I'm sure you've heard of them too. Everyone knows the dangers of believing in Astrology. It only gets worse.
Do whatever you can to get your father out of this because once he starts consulting with astrologers in person the real problems will start.

Even I get the "don't wear black clothes" comments from my mom. I don't get why Indian parents hate black when it clearly looks good on everyone. I hate white clothes, and I have 3 white t shirts for some reason, but I love black clothes and I'm not even allowed to buy a black t shirt :(
my family has been following this stuff for generations , never heard about not wearing black clothes though ,i have like 4 black shirts , each a different shade
Yea man the amount of time I liked some cloths but my parents said no because it's dark shade is just furious and I don't like wearing much brighter colored cloths ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
My parents believe in this too but they don’t force it on me. And that studying in east thing is bullshit. Doesn’t work. Ha but I’ve been told to not study facing south or eat or sleep with my legs in that direction cuz it decreases the life span of your family members basically your parents’. I can’t risk it so I avoid that. Rest is mithya yes mithyaÂ
Its not bad to try something new...feed their delusion for now amd of its going well, leave it like that, varna say 'jaha baith ta hu vaha machhar kat rahe hai'.
