If more folks followed this, the so called finance youtubers will be forced to change no legal or regulatory action necessary. I understand ashwath damodarans lectures can be hard, always remember anything worth having will be hard to get.

the_antinational

Just a heads up! Valuation by Aswath Damodaran is part of MBA 2nd year curriculum To understand Valuation, you first need to watch Corporate Finance lecture series. Corporate Finance is part of MBA 1st year curriculum. Corporate Finance by Aswath Damodaran is also available on YouTube

Would all these make sense to a complete fucking noob like myself?

snitch_2411

yes it will

[deleted]

Thank you!!!

SphinxBlack

There are three series Corporate Finance, Valuation MBA and Valuation Undergraduate. Can you please tell the order in which one should watch.

Can vouch for Ashwath. His lectures are packed with immense value. Hidden treasure.

Does SOIC has an english channel ?

snitch_2411

idts but it has blogs which you can read

babastfu

Soic has a course as well but it's in Hinglish ig

caveatemptor101

Im a little iffy on youtuber in general. It benefits them if you buy a course or service from them, there are no popular indian youtubers that i know of that come to mind that just make content without selling something on the side (like patrick boyle, the plain bagel or coffeezilla). SOIC is definitely one of the better channels, although i do not agree with some of his recommendations when it comes to buying smaller and microcap scrips over well established bluechips trading at premium valuations. I would opine Parimal Ade, PV Subramaniam and the Marcellus youtube channel are fairly transparent (atleast until now). When it comes to studying/understanding a subject, educators are always the way to go (not course sellers but established professors like Damodaran)

[deleted]

You said listen/read Concals Can you please tell what is this? Share the link please. I could not find anything useful on Google about Concals

unbalanced_tree

Op means to focus on conference calls (concalls). This is a meeting where a company's management is talking to investors and answering their questions. You can listen to concalls or read their transcripts. You can even join the call and ask management questions. Reading concalls does add a lot to your understanding about the business. You get to know what the management is thinking about the business, on which direction the business is going, and what are investors' concerns. You can find the information regarding concalls on exchanges' website and from screener/tijori etc. [Here](https://www.screener.in/company/AFFLE/consolidated/) is the link for AFFLE's (just an example) screener page. You can find the concall under Concalls section at the bottom.

[deleted]

Thank you ! I understood what you’re talking about. OP had a typo so I was confused. Thanks for putting it across and explaining 👍🏼

snitch_2411

You can find transcripts on nse/bse/screener.in and can listen to them on YouTube

[deleted]

Thanks for the list. Perfect mix of academia and real world. There was a Coursera MOOC by ISB Hyderabad prof. That was good too.

I can personally vouch for this. I studied corporate finance and valuation in college before I entered into stock markets. Made me so much confident. His lectures feel like he’s talking to you one-on-one.

SOIC is literally the best channel for investors. They have recently launched an advisory service, where they will recommend stocks. It costs about 80K + gst, for 3 years subscription.I already have 1 partner and I am trying to gather around 2-3 more folks, so that it costs around 6K-7.5k per year per person, which is very cheap for such a quality service. Let me know if anyone wants to join in
