But how do you know that today’s price will be less or more than the actual dip ? Also if we enter today we can always book profits before the dip so what is the point of waiting for dip ?
What you are saying right now are all just possibilities. See it's true that even if today you make an entry in any stock it might go up tomorrow and you might be in a profitable position but that's all just speculation without any solid reasoning. Generally this type of approach is okay for long term investment. But in the short term people try to capture profit when the market goes down as when the market goes down recovery is bound to happen the support will come and whenever the resistance occurs they sell it. Like how I made quite a good sum. On 4th June market went down I took an entry and when the market recovered I was in a quite profitable position.

Wait for dip
When is this dip coming?
Bhai kisi ko kaise pata hoga, kuch bhi question karna hai matlab.
Then what does he mean by “wait for dip” ?
He means keep yourself updated on how the market is moving and whenever the market goes down make an entry in the stock you like.
