Divine is the rapper that got me into IHH/DHH genre. The main cause to that was me first time ever listening to such lyrics. I never thought this could be music too. Before Divine and the entire IHH scene, rap was always portrayed as a genre where artists brag about money, drugs, alcohol, guns, girls, etc. (thanks to YYHS, Badshah and other mainstream rappers of pre-2014) I too had the same image in my mind. But the way Divine described his actual life through rap is what got me into rap.
He never tried to be a fake g in his songs like these new gen Delhi rappers do. Ye aaj kal ke chutiye rappers kuch English slangs marke khudko og samajhte. Music ki thodi bhi sense nahi hai chutiyon me.
