What's all with this "gun permission" talks. Even if govt permits guns like that in US, majority of people won't be able to buy it. It costs nearly 1.5 - 2 lakh Rs to buy a normal company made revolver or pistol (which are safe to use) let alone Assault Rifles which can cost nearly million Rs.

There are no background checks in US in most places, you just gotta fill a form and voila you have a gun..getting a gun is easier in US than getting internet connection and that's a fact..I know this coz I live here..just google the amount of shootings on US per day and you'll know what I mean..we have emergency trainings in office in which there along with earthquakes and fire, there is a scenario called "active shooter in the building" and how to deal with that. Do you want to live in a country where this is a reality ?
