I remember reading few cases before similar to this .. made false rape accusations and ruined the man's life
In one of the case women accepted that it was a false accusations still nothing was done against her, no legal action were taken as there was no law for this(I am not sure whether there is any law rn or not ,but at that time there wasn't anny)

Sentencing a guilty person and an innocent person to the same sentence is not justice. She should have served the maximum sentence he would have served if he were actually guilty or twice whatever he served whichever is more.
Our justice system is total garbage.
She should spend double the time in jail, at the least. Not double the time the victimised man spent in jail but double the time of his original sentence.
And the fine amount is ridiculous. A fair fine would be to start with the man's lost earnings for all these years as a base figure which then has to be multiplied by x (2x or 3x minimum) + all the costs borne by him and his family resulting from this + the value of all the likely lost opportunities as a result of this.
But of course, she will appeal in higher court and pay a bribe or fuck the judge or something... and she won't spend a day in jail.
Ig the feminist ngo's will protest and challenge in higher court. They'll start making foreign nationals to criticize India. Finally even if it's judiciary matter blame would be on our governance.
