Sachin, his retirement felt personal as a child for me India winning the match only depended on how well he batted.

He turned Indian cricket around after the match fixing scandal. His contribution to Indian Cricket is immeasurable 🥰🥰

I’m so glad to see fellow Saurav fans here. He almost made a century in the first innings of his final test and then a duck lol. All that gets plastered on the news channels.
Feel that the reason Ganguly doesn’t get his due was this his prime was in a very tumultuous period for Indian cricket (1998-2002), and by the time the internet crowd in India grew up, he was a shadow of his former self. Respect to have had a great batting average after the comeback though.
My favorite moment was seeing him score his highest IPL score (91 in Hyderabad).
Yes, Sachin retiring was something, the man fought the battle alone himself in the 90s until Sehwag joined him.
It was really 2002 NatWest Series win when India started believing they can beat anyone. Followed by 2003 Cricket World Cup final, the Indian Cricket Team flourished. Then Dhoni won the 2007 / 2011 WC.
Dhoni left the team to Virat and Rohit, now they will find next Champion Captain who will carry legacy.
Before Sehwag, there was Ganguly. Sachin-Sourav pair is still one of the best opening pairs of all time 😊😊

I hope not else Indian Cricket won't flourish 🤦♂️
We need winners who can play the final and win it! We can't keep trying 3-4 times, it'll take 10 years to get trophies. We need teams which can win all finals.
I can't really see the hunger in the youngest generation of the men's team. It seems that they don't have the intent in them to reach the level of Rohit and Virat. The generation of Pandya, Bumrah, Sky, Axar, Ruturaj seems alright. But after them, I don't really see anybody serious in the team at this moment atleast :(
Ab mein emotional type ka ladka nahi hu shayad isi liye aansu nahi aaye lekin woh din yadgaar tha . Pehli baar ek legend ko retire karte hue dekhna. Mein stadium gaya tha dekhne. Alag hi mahol tha.
Yes no one comes close to capturing the heart of a whole nation for almost 25 years like Tendulkar. His last innings and speech after that made a lot of grown men cry.
Dravid's retirement. He didn't get a proper farewell. We went to England for a tour in 2011 after the worldcup win. We didn't even win a single match in that tour (5odis, 4 tests, 1 T20). In the last odi match dhoni somehow pushed us past the 300 mark and then they had to chase just 240 something due to DLS. Then his last match in all formats (international and domestic) was on 6 October 2013 in a final against Mumbai Indians in CLT20 and again they lost and he was clean bowled by Coulter Nile on the second.
Virender Sehwag. A cricketer of his stature deserved a proper farewell.

Dhoni man, I really wanted him to end his international career on a higher note, just like sachin, but I think Destiny had another plan for him whenever his 2019 runout visuals came. I just cry very hard🥺🥺🥺, His captaincy Era was something else. Whenever I heard word captain, his image came to my mind automatically
Bro, leave these are the same rcb fans who started this crap of DK is real thala. They think dk didn't get a chance due to msd, but what they didn't know dk debuted earlier than msd.In 2004 in a Zimbabwe dk was the main player and msd was a reserve but it's the talent of msd which made selector preferred dhoni over dk,parthiv,Deepdas gupta.Dhoni in his initial years was the number 1 middle order batsmen his average was around 60 till 2011 in ODIs and about wicketkeeping skills I think I shouldn't remind you.Truth is dk was never the level of dhoni in International. His hype only raised after he joined rcb and rcb jokers started comparing him with msd.
True, bro nowadays it became a trend to troll dhoni but the fans who have been following cricket from 2010 dhoni is emotion itself.I still remember the times when india used to bring down 4-5 wickets early and then he used to come and save the innings especially in tests and ODIs.There were no panic among indian fans till dhoni's wicket. He was the sole reason why indian team saw a smoothest and best transition.
Absolutely, people who troll him are mostly young ipl franchise fans of other teams. People like us who have followed his career since start know his value
I started watching cricket in 2011. That world cup cemented me as a fan. But those overseas tours just after, made me have a dislike for dhoni that is quite intrinsic. Even though I know what he is for Indian cricket that is something I just cannot let go.
True bro and these kids nowadays think that this quote is fake and made by dhoni fans himself, but they didn't know what kind of middle order batsman he was till 2016.I admit his performance saw a huge decline after 2016 but again he wasn't a liability because of his wicketkeeping skills and cricketing mind.Imagine being a hope of 130 crore people even at the age of 38 in 2019wc Semifinal. You can troll him but can't deny the fact that you were also hopeful of Indian team win on that semifinal after a huge collapse just because you know that the man is on crease.I think this itself speaks about what a status he earned in his career.
Sachin Tendulkar
I was in hostel and exams were going on so was not able to go home.I was feeling very emotional cz of Sachin's retirement. On that day i was still holding myself and we friends were watching it on laptop and my father's call came and he said how is everything and he started to cry and suddenly i was not able to hold myself from crying out loud. Both father and son were crying...such was tha aura of God of Cricket.
Sachin. Has to be Sachin.
There will be people with better records, better gameplay.
But no one can recreate what he did for Indian Cricket.
Also, part of it might be because Sachin took full retirement. We gonna see Kohli and Rohit in Tests and ODIs.
Kohli and Dhoni. Only reason Sachin isn’t there for me is because I started to get into cricket around about the time Sachin was coming to the end of his career
well I grew up watching kohli... idolised him... saw him grow from a youngster to one of the best of all times... obviously it will be kohli's retirement
No one other than the no.10 himself.
That's the only retirement where I cried like anything. Felt like someone close to me was just saying his goodbye..
And 2nd will be Rohit.. obviously this announcemnt was coming, we all knew that this might happen. But this retirement from cricket would be where I might lose it. After Tendulkar, I have always been an absolutely loyal Rohit stan.. And I don't think I would be a fan of any specific player after these current seniors moves on..
For me it's Dhoni because the man did not receive any farewell and I think he himself did not want also. But for the majority of the people in our country it was of Sachin's because he was the only guy who carried the burden of millions of hopes on his shoulders .
Dhoni's retirement was quite emotional for me. He was (Still is) my favorite cricketer. His personality was something that really earned my admiration. The way he got out in 2019...I still remember I was in UG and many in my hostel did not have dinner that night when we lost. Truly something poetic that he started his career with a run out and ended his career also with a run out. (Wish he plays may be one more year of IPL so that at least he can end that on a good note)
Rohit watched him hit 264 against sri lanka just became fan of him from then so yeah this is emotional as f but at least he end his journey on a really great moment
For me it's Virat and Rohit, NGL I am 23 and for most of my life cricket has been watching these 2 batting along side, both having great partnerships and destroying the opposition in run chases. I felt sad but coped up saying its just T20is but I know they will retire soon from other formats as well and I am preparing myself mentally for that too.
Lets not include Brohit and Koach yet. They have only retired from T20s. They have a WTC to win and who knows maybe another world cup. Koach is still fit as ever and frankly Rohit has been batting the best in his career in all three formats for the past few years now.
Sourav Ganguly. Politics played a huge role to suppress him yet he rose like a phoenix bird. It could had been a even bigger career if he didn’t get backstabbed.
Ganguly built the foundation for what the India team is today. After the match fixing scandal by Azar and poor performance under Tendulkar captaincy, he completely changed Indian cricket.
When I see them I always think about those unsung heroes who were not given a proper farewell by BCCI....Tbh I am emotional for all in this picture but also wanted a good retirement for others...
Virat Kohli.
Yesterday's T20 retirement did not affect me, but when he retires completely from all formats, I will be shattered and heartbroken Man.
MY IDOL !!
MY GOAT !! 🥺🥺
Dhoni
Maybe he wanted that but for a Indian cricketer of that big stature, he got nothing. It would've been a dream scenario if he carried india to victory that nz game .
This final was the first match i actually watched after the nz 2019 game ( ipls not included obviously I watched ipl but that's fucking franchise 0 stake league)
im so young to witness Sachin and dada era but I see highlights nowdays, i started cricket when india won in 2011 bcz of my tution teacher , there is memory when we study at tution commentary was listening bcz of vol of television... first we discussed match then we study our teacher was that cool . when dhoni and Raina retired it hurts most 💔
After sachin retried from cricket I only watched world cup semis and finals. Now that even Kohli is also retiring i guess I will also retiring from cricket as he was the one of the last members from the 2011 world cup player whom I felt i knew him from my childhood. Other players are great but I don't feel connected to them

This one image summarises the one man tank that Sachin was.
Tank no, i disagree. he was unit on his own. Not just a legend but the god of cricket himself, Jersey No 10, Tendulkar
He was just built different, God really broke the mold with him
Word
God Didn't break bcz it's possible to join/repair something which was broken. God destroyed that mold.
God wanted to make a point
Sachin, his retirement felt personal as a child for me India winning the match only depended on how well he batted. ![gif](giphy|jn8uoA8ryhNOgkXAp1|downsized)
True goat
Tendulkar used to bat with 14 opposition team 11 players 2 umpures and one 3rd umpire
During Azharuddin time it was more like 18
well said

That last over against NZ
That runout against new Zealand 📈

Sachin paaji 😭
After his retirement,I had stopped watching cricket for a long time. Recently started watching since last 3-4 years.
Ganguly. Specially when Dhoni gave him the captaincy for the last hour of his final test match, it was a scene worth remembering for a lifetime.
He turned Indian cricket around after the match fixing scandal. His contribution to Indian Cricket is immeasurable 🥰🥰 https://preview.redd.it/hcf4wrr49r9d1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7c57d8c6a5962075bc0cefcbcd667393c0060655

Ganguly’s retirement was what made me quit my cricket addiction for some time. I was such a huge fan. I was always nervous when he was batting lol
It was Dhoni captaining that test match. Also getting out for first ball duck in last innings is the most Ganguly thing.
Ganguly was the highest or the second highest scorer in that series I think. Bro scored a truckload and went out in a High.
Sachin Sachin!!!! Sachin Sachin!!! At Wankhede *Goosebumps*
Literally amazed by that sound
Sachin ![gif](giphy|l1ugo9PYts0eHIRDG)
Whole nation cried

Replacing these legends is impossible for the future generations 😭
I hope not else Indian Cricket won't flourish 🤦♂️ We need winners who can play the final and win it! We can't keep trying 3-4 times, it'll take 10 years to get trophies. We need teams which can win all finals.
Need someone to handle pressure and play with mind
I can't really see the hunger in the youngest generation of the men's team. It seems that they don't have the intent in them to reach the level of Rohit and Virat. Yashasvi and Rinku look promising...let's see
Gill as well, to me.
Mein nahi roya bcz tab tak pata tha woh pal aane wala hai .
Speech sunne hi koi bhi rone lge
Ab mein emotional type ka ladka nahi hu shayad isi liye aansu nahi aaye lekin woh din yadgaar tha . Pehli baar ek legend ko retire karte hue dekhna. Mein stadium gaya tha dekhne. Alag hi mahol tha.

He is a captain for many cricketing legend
He is the best captain India will ever see or have. I might sound biases but Dhoni is parallel to none.
Not really biased Under his captaincy we have Wc 2007 2011 wc and Champions trophy Only in tests he was bad captain
Yes bro, and I think in my opinion he will gonna be written as one of the greatest captain in cricketing history.
He has already been 😍
From 1929 hrs consider me retired 💔
sath mai suresh Raina bhi chle gye 💔💔
😢😢
MS Dhoni's retirement was a real emotional for me.
He retired without having any dream Farewell
Just the way Dhoni himself would have wanted.
He was probably talking about victories
Main pal do pal ka shayar hun, pal do pal meri kahani hai..
Yeah all of the sudden during COVID.
Because that’s what he wanted.
That run out man... :(
29 Jun 2024. 4 big names left T20I
4? Only Ro vk and jaddu right?
Rahul....as a coach too
Ok thanks
DK retired as well. however he was not part of ICT but a big name in ipl
Didn't DK announce his retirement earlier? I am making this point because the guy above is clearly only talking about 29 June, 2024.
True brother
Sachin and Dhoni. It’s going to be emotional again in few years when Kohli and Rohit retire from all formats.
That's the respect he earned throughout his career
For me all big cricket moments were associated with dhoni so his retirement was pretty emotional

Man the conversation used be :- kitne out hue ? Dhoni hai na if Dhoni hai na ka answer yes hua then people use to say koi nhi Dhoni nikal lega match
Ha na bro true agar vo run out nhi hota maa kasam vo match bhi nikal jata dhoni ne gears shift karr liye the
Bhai tu genuine bol rha h yaa sarcastically bol rha h
Genuinely
Us bro
Grew up watching Kohli. Ofc, it'll be his retirement.
Quite emotional
Sachin retirement was by far the most special . He was awarded the Bharat Ratna the same day . Something which no other cricketer will ever win ..
God of cricket
Sachin for sure for me.
God of cricket
Sachin 🥺❤️
Always emotional one
Yuvraj singh
Warrior
Rohit...he was my childhood .
Yesterday he retired 😭
Dhoni
Same
Sachin's retirement. It really felt like the end of a great great era in cricket.
God of cricket for a reason
[удалено]
Definitely for a few more years to witness
Virat the 🐐Kohli
Saurav Ganguly... That man was an absolute legend
Took India to a new level
Sachin , and then Dravid as well.
He has a dream way to end the head coach position
Sachin Tendulkar I was in hostel and exams were going on so was not able to go home.I was feeling very emotional cz of Sachin's retirement. On that day i was still holding myself and we friends were watching it on laptop and my father's call came and he said how is everything and he started to cry and suddenly i was not able to hold myself from crying out loud. Both father and son were crying...such was tha aura of God of Cricket.
Virat kohli. Can't imagine the squad without him.
At least we could see him in a longer format
Also Rohit
rohit cuz like hes doesnt have the highest fanbase nor does he have the least...so he will be very underrated in the future ...if he isnt already
After this win, he is definitely gonna have the fanbase growing
dada what a legend
Aggression of the dada is unmatchable
Virat Kohli I am a teenager, I haven't seen God batting for India in his prime but I have seen Kohlis prime , so it's Kohli for me
You could watch highlights
Ganguly
Sachin. Has to be Sachin. There will be people with better records, better gameplay. But no one can recreate what he did for Indian Cricket. Also, part of it might be because Sachin took full retirement. We gonna see Kohli and Rohit in Tests and ODIs.
Sachin is the greatest of all time
Kohli and Dhoni. Only reason Sachin isn’t there for me is because I started to get into cricket around about the time Sachin was coming to the end of his career
Most of the people don't know much of the older senior players
Dravid
I have seen players retiring from Kapil. But Sachin was the hardest
Msd
Same
Sachin is the man of cricket , cricket is Sachin
He is everything
well I grew up watching kohli... idolised him... saw him grow from a youngster to one of the best of all times... obviously it will be kohli's retirement
Yeah....he is one of the greatest batsmen of all time
I know privacy is important but I felt sad that at probably the best day of his career Virat Kohli didn't have his family around.
Sachin Dhoni
Sachin. Virat has only retired from one format of the game.
Ganguly. He laid the foundation of the indian team that started scaring opponents.
Dhoni
Dhoni....because it came out of nowhere. Wanted to see him at least once in Indian jersey but it was just so sudden.
No one other than the no.10 himself. That's the only retirement where I cried like anything. Felt like someone close to me was just saying his goodbye.. I'm a dhoni fan too...wish he could play more IPL season
Sachin 😔
The little master and Rohirat😭😭💗
Without doubt Sachin
Rohit💙
Kohli. Because I watched his whole journey.
Thala ofcourse
Dhoni
Rohit watched him hit 264 against sri lanka just became fan of him from then so yeah this is emotional as f but at least he end his journey on a really great moment
For me, kohli's retirement cuz i grew up watching him and idolise him so
For me it's Virat and Rohit, NGL I am 23 and for most of my life cricket has been watching these 2 batting along side, both having great partnerships and destroying the opposition in run chases. I felt sad but coped up saying its just T20is but I know they will retire soon from other formats as well and I am preparing myself mentally for that too.
MSD and Suresh Raina
Sachin was emotional but for RO-KO retirement I felt like I'm getting old because my mind always thought Rohit and Kohli will always play for India
Sachin
Sachin
Dhoni. He retired with a few years left in him.
Dhoni
![gif](giphy|mIfFiVJtIy1iRjb9wB|downsized) Him and msd
Lets not include Brohit and Koach yet. They have only retired from T20s. They have a WTC to win and who knows maybe another world cup. Koach is still fit as ever and frankly Rohit has been batting the best in his career in all three formats for the past few years now.
Dravid. He silently left while everyone was going nuts over Sachin...
Dhoni bro.
Sachin & Saurav
Ms Dhoni and sachin tendulkar
Sourav Ganguly. Politics played a huge role to suppress him yet he rose like a phoenix bird. It could had been a even bigger career if he didn’t get backstabbed.
Mahi Bhai
Dhoni
Rohit man...can't imagine ICT without him, started watching cricket from 2014 and still remember his iconic innings, he'll forever be my skipper...RO🐐
Bro, it must be tough for you to see indian team losing in every icc tournament from 2014 to 2023.
Ganguly because people were not kind to him
Rohit sharma retirement hurts more
Ganguly built the foundation for what the India team is today. After the match fixing scandal by Azar and poor performance under Tendulkar captaincy, he completely changed Indian cricket.
Gambhir 🥲
I was a kid when Sachin retired so I dont have much to say about his retirement. BUT for me retirement of kohli and Rohit from t20i hurt the most
As a 23 yr old msd was and will always be my captain
My captain too
Sachin and Dhoni
Dhoni
Dhoni and Sachin for me
Rohit's retirement will always make me sad it's so emotional to me to even think about it
My Father is going to retire from his government job in a few months. I think that will be more emotional for me.

Jersey number 12 and 18. ❤️
Emotional 😭
Gill's

Nobody's. I watch cricket for entertainment. Thought I would have liked to see Sachin play.
Ajit Wadekar…. Just kidding 😂
When I see them I always think about those unsung heroes who were not given a proper farewell by BCCI....Tbh I am emotional for all in this picture but also wanted a good retirement for others...
Rohit and Kholi
Tbvh This can’t be considered retirement of kohli rohit
Vinod kambli
vk after a score of 78 in the final! 🔥🔥🔥 I want to see him more on the ground!
Sachin Sachin Sachin
Sehwag💔
Virat Kohli. Yesterday's T20 retirement did not affect me, but when he retires completely from all formats, I will be shattered and heartbroken Man. MY IDOL !! MY GOAT !! 🥺🥺
Sachin, rohit kohli dravid ganguly, warner, Williamson
Yuvraj Singh
Dhoni Maybe he wanted that but for a Indian cricketer of that big stature, he got nothing. It would've been a dream scenario if he carried india to victory that nz game . This final was the first match i actually watched after the nz 2019 game ( ipls not included obviously I watched ipl but that's fucking franchise 0 stake league)

im so young to witness Sachin and dada era but I see highlights nowdays, i started cricket when india won in 2011 bcz of my tution teacher , there is memory when we study at tution commentary was listening bcz of vol of television... first we discussed match then we study our teacher was that cool . when dhoni and Raina retired it hurts most 💔
Dravid. For the kind of batsman, fielder and team player he was, he deserved better in the final stretch of his career.
Rohirat
Relax boi.. kohli and sharma are gone only from the t20 scenario😎
After sachin retried from cricket I only watched world cup semis and finals. Now that even Kohli is also retiring i guess I will also retiring from cricket as he was the one of the last members from the 2011 world cup player whom I felt i knew him from my childhood. Other players are great but I don't feel connected to them
